  • Emberstar stood up from her den and padded into the light, basking in the heat of the day. Her eyes held pride as her gaze swept the clearing.

Lightningstrike stepped out of his cozy quiet den and settled on one of the warm rocks.

  • Grasswhisker padded through the Clan camp, studying all of his Clanmates with curiosity. He always wondered what was going on inside his Clanmates head, what they were thinking about. No matter... No use wondering about things like that. The gray tabby tom sat down, wondering what he should do.

Ravenshade moved through the forest like a shadow, his dark black pelt blending into the shadows of the forest. He loved this feeling of being alone in the forest, the feeling that he could do whatever he wanted and not be judged by others.

Flamepaw sat about camp, conversing with his younger sister, Brightpaw. "So, I was stalking this huge rabbit, it was almost as big as me!, and then I pounced and killed it with one bite to the neck! It was so crazy that it went down so easily..." Brightpaw lounged about, listening to her boasting brothers story with complete boredom and the occasional, "Wow."

Rosepaw sat alone in the corner of the Clan's camp, lounging about in the shade of the overhanging branches. It was hard for her to just lounge about without focusing on a task, because she always got flashbacks from when... it... happened. Thinking about it made the young cat shiver visibly.

Hawkpaw looked around camp for something to do, watching the other apprentices do nothing. I wonder what Rosepaw's thinking... he wondered, watching her curiously. He didn't have to wonder about Flamepaw though, cause everything the little blabbermouth thought came sprinting out of his jaws.

  • Emberstar's eyes caught onto the gathering of apprentices. "Rosepaw, are you okay?" She asked, concern weaving throughout her voice. A meek edge set in, almost afraid of what her answer could be.

  • Rosepaw snapped her head up, her dull hazel eyes looking up at her leader. "Oh... yes..." she mewed, knowing that it was a complete lie but not caring at the moment. The memories of 'IT' were so vivid in her memory that she could hardly bare it.

  • Emberstar rolled her eyes. "I know it's a lie, Rose paw. I still have my hearing, unlike Lightningstrike," She mewed, wrapping her fluffy brown tail around her paws. "Talk," She ordered.

Lightningstrike shook his head, "I heard you!"

  • "It was a lie, but I don't want to talk about it...." Rosepaw mewed, turning away from Emberstar and starring at her paws. She didn't want to tell anyone about 'IT' ever.... it would just arouse more attention on her, and that's the one thing she didn't want.

  • "If that's what you wish," Ember star sighed sadly. "But remember that I'm young too, and I do not judge. If you are willing to open up, you know where to find me," She finished off and hesitantly padded away. "Hawkpaw, how are you?" She finally found her talking victim.

    OOC: Who should Emberstar mentor?

  • Rosepaw respectfully nodded her head, but she knew that she wouldn't change her mind and open up any time soon. She couldn't tell anyone ever, for it was too gruesome of an experience to talk about without her mentally and physically breaking down.

Hawkpaw dreaded talking to his leader, for he was afraid he would say something stupid and cause her to not favor him. "Hi, Emberstar," he mewed with immense friendliness. "I'm great. You?"

  • "Just lounging around, wondering what to do," Hawkpaw mewed truthfully, shrugging slightly. To be completely honest with himself, he didn't want to do anything.

Rosepaw curled herself up, placing her tail-tip up by her nose and trying to block out the memories rushing back like a nightmare. She had to fight to keep herself from howling out in terror.

  • OOC: Okay, so how do you get that hug thing in your siggie?

IC: Emberstar chuckled a bit, "Ah, I see. A bit lazy in the sun? Before you answer, I have a question for you," Emberstar's voice morphed to a more strict one. "Is anything wrong with Rosepaw? I'm very concerned."

  • Astrid, the innocent eyed she-cat left the darkness of the shadows, her friend, BlackDeath fallowing her in her more sleepy, serious way. The sweet fluffy grey she-cat lightly looked around camp, before glancing around, curling her fluffy tail in a happy way. "Good morning the cats of clan mates." Astrid mewed in a happy greating. She smoothed her chest-fur with a skilled paw, and looked around, debating on weither she should go hunting or not.

  • The silver-grey she-cat perked her ears up, whenever someone responded to her she seemed to send off another wave of good-will. At least in camp she did. She trotted over to the warrior tom, flicking her ears in greeting. "CreekFeather, good morning. How are you so far today?" Astrid asked smoothly, in a friendly tone. Closing one of her eyes to keep the glare out of her bright orbs.

  • Creekfeather sighed, "Sorry if you wanted to be alone. I'm fine." He apologised, and groomed his tail that had ruffled during a mini-earthquake of anxiety. Soothing calmness washed over him and his green eyes emptied of any cheerful mood.

Hawkpaw suddenly turned serious, lowering his gaze slightly from his leaders. "Uhhh... No one knows anything about her. She doesn't talk to anyone, let alone me or the other apprentices. She's kind of a loner living in a Clan..."

  • Astrid made a face at CreekFeather, tilting her head to establish as firm connection of eye contact, and flicking an ear at his words. "No, I prefer the company of others over my own any day of the week, you shouldn't apologize for returning a greeting. " the she mewed, she didn't quite understand sad feelings of others, to her life was a yellow butterfly on a flower of pinks, purples, and baby blues. There was no sad, not really. Astrid straightened herself to her full height, which was the average height of a she her age before adding. "Is something the matter? You seem to have just had the life drained from you, CreekFeather." she said this in a careful way, like she was walking on a mine-field and she knew it quite well.
