Hoshi's eyes lit up as he took one and sank his teeth into it. He had to choke down a whimper of delight that threatened to escape as he ate the pastry. It was delicious and anyone could've seen that he thought so by the expression on his face.
"Ooh, dear, I'm going to have to make you more of those! Enjoy, I'm going to start on our ballroom task, ok?" She skipped off to the ballroom to set up.
Hoshi smiled and nodded as she left, leaving him all alone. He quickly finished that one and began on another one, finishing most of it before eating the rest on the way to help Lilly with the ballroom.
Lilly had all ready set up one of the tracks that would hold snacks for the guests. Kai had said he wanted it be over quickly possible, so she planned it for the next night. "It's tomorrow~ And on nights like this, Kai doesn't care if I steal from his mother's closet to dress up! Ooh, I could to you too! Well, he never cared or really shows up, but oh well.."
Hoshi set up another table and looked over at Lilly as she spoke about how she would steal from Kai's mother's closet and it made him smile. Though when she talked about trying to dress him up as well he shook his head quickly. "I think I'm good. I don't really feel like I should get dressed up" he said gently. He didn't want to get dressed up either.
Lilly shook her head. "Come on, honey! I know some girls who like to bring their servant girls with them~!" Lilly was obviously very excited about everything that was going on. "Speaking of girls, I need to get Kai with one, but he never shows any interests!"
Hoshi laughed nervously. "N-No I'm fine really..." he trailed off at the end. When he heard he speak about her needing to get Kai a girl he didn't seem to understand. The only thing he saw in him wedding another aristocrat was more connections and money. Most of the connections he wouldn't use anyways. Wait... why was he getting so worked up over it?
"Hey, I'm upper class when it comes to being a slave! That means you should do what I say, and I say for you to wear something special!" Lilly said, still excited. She clapped hands as she started on another table. "It'll be fun! And if Kai has a problem with it, then I'll hide you." Lilly really did not fear her master, since he was pretty much her own son.
Hoshi sighed in defeat by Lilly, the older slave. What could he say, she knew how to talk her way through things... and talk in general. "if you really want to..." he let his sentence trail off at the end as he worked on the next table
She clapped her hands excitedly. "This'll be great, just you see!" She finished her next table and moved on to the final one. "Oh, I do rarely get to talk to other girl slaves! It's so much fun, not talking makes them speak so much more when we're all together!" She rambled on for about ten more minutes until she finished the last table.
Hoshi laughed at the woman gently. He sword that she could ramble on about anything, though he did respect her as well. With a sigh he stretched, happy that they were finished with that.
Lilly smiled. Then a look of realization dawned on her. "Ooh, the food! It'll take so long to prepare, I need to start now!" She barked right into the kitchen. Lilly was nothing if not full of energy! It was surprising to most due to her old age and inability to do some cleaning tasks.
Kai had long ago finished his food, and the book. Now he was just wanting around, thinking about the ending and staring at the walls.
Hoshi followed her close behind. "would you like some help with that or is there something else you want me to do?" he asked her.
Lilly looked up. "Hmm? Oh, yes please!" She beamed and held out a small stack of recipes. "Here they all are!" She split stack in two and took one, giving the other to Hoshi.

As Lilly set out the last plate of food into the table, she spun all around. "Eek, isn't this exciting Hoshi? So many people! Ooh, come with me, we need to get you dressed up! Just don't tell Kai- Er, Master Megido all right?" She beamed. On days like this had call Kai "Master Megido" Since that's what's proper.
"Master Megido" was currently hiding in the corner in the dining room and hoping that no one would find him there and take him to the actual dance. Reading is what he liked, reading is what he would be doing.
Hoshi nodded with a smile. In all honesty he'd rather be cleaning or doing something else than join in on a ball. He didn't like to dress up at all, that's why he usually did something to get himself out of participating in them. This time ws different though, he actually liked someone here and that person wanted to dress him up. Plus it was kinda hard to say no to her.
Lilly clapped her hands excitedly, then grabbed Hoshi's hand and started to walk up the stairs. "Ooh, what would fit you? Kai a lot bigger than you, that wouldn't work.. maybe some of his clothes from when he was around your age? I think I put those in his father's room...."
"eh...." Hoshi trailed off as he was pulled away by Lilly. She started to ramble again as he was being pulled but he didn't mind so much as he was going to wear Kai's clothes. "Uh.... are you sure I'm allowed to wear his clothes..." he started but trailex off, knowing full well he was going to lose to he.
Lilly shook her head fervently."You probably aren't! But if he has a problem with it, he can just talk to me. You know how he loves me!" Lilly was blunt, sure, but at least she was honest!
