Meh, her persona can be whatever. Maybe clumsy, easily offended, and sharp-tongued when angered far too much. If it's okay, can she seem happy all the time when she really feels something other than happy, such as depressed, sad, and stuff? Sort of like she is making others joyful so they don't notice her "pain"? (That's pretty much me...)
