Mara is reserved and quiet, she rarely opens up to anyone and prefers to stay by herself, she is very closed off and acts polite and civil to everyone she just isn't very sociable, she has a difficult time relating with the other students and isn't very good with showing emotion. She doesn't like to be the center of attention and shies away from crowds. If put on the spot or harassed she will immediately lash out often hurting those close to her and sometimes herself.She appears indifferent and a little insensitive but it is really because she doesn't know what to do with herself. She is often found alone with a book and her cat Edgar.

Mara opened flipped through the pages of an old book she had found in the library, its pages looked old and faded and the book it's self smelled old and dusty. Thunder boomed and lightning cracked as she poured over old stories, and tales. She paused every now and then to pet Edgar who was curled up at her side. His steady purr was the only sound in the library room of the academy.

lizah, to sum it up, is a ball of confusion. she can be lovable and kind one moment, and a b-tchy, psychopathic person the next. she's not exactly bipolar, but she can switch moods depending on how you treat her.

this teenager can come off as a b-tch at first. she's snippy and rude, and her mouth can sometimes ramble onto a ferocious rant. she's intelligent with her rambling, and she uses it to her advantage as a smooth-talker. she can talk herself and others out of just about every sticky situation.

opposite of being a total ass, she can be as sweet as the next person. she is quite timid when you truly get to know her. she's rather easygoing also, and laid back. unless you push her to the breaking point.

lizah grew up in a small maine town, with no real excitement going on. she grew up easily, but that was all before she discovered she had something unique. she realized how important her power was after a few dreadful encounters with the failure to control it. the young teenager could see in the eyes of birds, and control them to do whatever she pleased. even if it meant accidentally harming others.

he's difficult to figure out. Her personality has many layers. But the first you'll see is her not-so-friendly side. She's isn't very welcoming and is rather reclusive. She does not trust easily, but when she does, she is extremely loyal, like to a sibling.
She is not a woman of many words. Often coming off as blunt, she simply says what needs to be said, no mincing words, no small talk. This alone may not make her seem rude, but she also lacks most social manners.
She's a good person, really. She would do anything for a friend in need. But if anyone crosses her, or hurts her friends, there will be h*ll to pay. She is quite stubborn and hotheaded, especially if someones doubts her. She is not afraid of a fight, even when the odds are stacked against her, and even though they may have a higher rank than her. She is also relentless, with a never-say-die attitude.
She is quite intelligent, but not too show-offy. Her cleverness has gotten her out of trouble many a time, but her independent spirit has gotten her into more.
She often seems like she doesn't know how to relax and have fun. She gets picked on for this, but usually brushes off digs at herself. She became like that out of necessity.

Her parents feared her from the moment her power made itself known, when she was naught but seven years old. They kept her locked in her room, called her a monster, and then one day left her, still locked up in her little dark room.
She escaped before she starved to death, obviously, bringing on a wave of technology to break her out. The fan spun out of control, smashing the small window, the toaster set fire to the building, and the various power cords knitted themselves together into a rope so that she could climb out and away from the burning building. She was only 11 then, and wandered the streets for a while, taking care of herself. Since much of our lives are run on technology these days, she could get wherever she wanted, and whatever she wanted. Well, almost. Though her power allowed her to hijack cars and planes, make the espresso machines run when she broke in through the back door of Starbucks, and she could hack her existence out of the inter-connected web, she couldn't break herself out of jail when the police finally got her at age 14. She stopped their cars, stopped their radios, but handcuffs aren't as easily manipulated.
Her parents were called, and they actually showed up, only to ask to never be called about her again. They had three new children now, they didn't want to be bothered about their 'mistake'. And then they left. It was the last time she saw them.
A couple days later, Bartlet Jonpoon walked in and took her out, paying her bail and explaining the misunderstanding away. He brought her to the Academy, and she's been there since.

He's a friendly guy, the type of guy you like immediately. Funny and charming on top, but underneath all the smiles, he's rather insecure and self-conscious. He doesn't trust himself, or his power, sometimes.
He will use whatever means necessary, manipulating, lying, killing, to protect his fellow mutants and himself. He's quite adept at the first two, but tries to stay non-aggressive.
Through his friendliness and charm, he makes many friends, but he is only loyal to his closest friends. He is protective of them, but it takes a lot of work to get access to this circle.
No matter what situation he's in, he keeps a level head. Be it an uncontrollable fit of power, the police, or getting punched in the face, he will stay calm. It takes a lot to unnerve him, but when he is scared or angry, you should probably start running.

Odessa tried to not look at the recruits. Too much pain in her memories. It hurt to look at the excited ones, who reminded her of her brother with every move. It probably hurt worse to see the ones looking around for somebody, somebody they knew, somebody they loved. Somebody it was likely they might not see, and never see again. She was happy she wasn't the one who gave out the news. It would kill her. She didn't understand how men like Sergeant Major (of the Army) Adam did it. He had been the one to tell her that she had lost her brother, though he was only a Sergeant Major then.
So instead she focused on her punching bag. One fist, the the other. The punching bags mostly for stress relief, especially for her. If she had to fight up close, she had either lost concentration or was being ambushed. Only happened three times so far, and she could tell you, it was not fun.
Her breathing flowed with her punches. In, then out. One fist, then the other. She would have to stop soon, she was already tired from practice with the other snipers, and try as she may, she couldn't go on forever.
One fist, then stop. She rested for a moment with her fist on the bag, leaning on it a bit for support. With a sigh, she finally relinquished it to another soldier and headed over to the bench with her bag on it. Sitting down with another sigh, she leaned against the wall, eyes closed. One hand drummed on the plastic bench, the other with the thick strap of her tank-top.
From what she had seen and read, these were signs of PTSD. The drumming, the habits, the flashbacks that haunted her at night. She made an effort to conceal it though, she didn't want to be sent home. She hadn't done enough, not yet. She probably wouldn't ever to enough, carrying the lives of her two brothers with her. Living enough for three people is a hard if not impossible task.
