"Lucky you" she said "But you know about the School, and about us, and all that. And anyway, we are all mutant freaks, even if it CAN be an advantage sometimes, so who cares if you are a bird or a wolf hybrid? "

"Hmph." Nyn grunted, watching the bus stop in front of her.

"So, what do YOU do?" she asked.

"I act like a normal human being and don't bug other people." Nyn said, getting on the bus and paying for the both of them.

"So" she said "What happens when someone figures out the truth and bad guys come?"

"I go somewhere else." Nyn said, sitting down.

"And if you get hurt and need a doctor?" she said, curious.

"I doctor myself." Nyn said, trying to be patient with all these questions. Man, what am I doing? I'm talking to a total stranger! She thought, looking out the bus window. She could see the cars flying by her, and cyclists slowly weaving in and out of the cars avoiding a crash.

"What about friends? Do you have any?" she said, looking happy Nym hadnt kicked her off the bus or something.

Nyn thought for a moment, thinking about if she actually had any. "Well, no. I don't think I have." She said, shrugging. There was that one time... She thought, sighing.

She pouted and then looked confused, "Why did you sigh?"

"Tired."Nyn answered, actually yawning. But I was a kid, and that's when I figured out that friends hold you back. She though, glancing at a mother and her baby. Yeah, that brings that all back... She thought, looking out the window again.

"Same. Its been a busy weeek for me, escaping the School and all" she said with a yawn of her own.

"Just got out, huh?" Nyn said, blinking slowly. She felt sick with guilt, thinking of that horrible memory.

"Yeah. You all right? You look a little green." she said.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Nyn said, crossing her arms. "It must be the light on my face." She said, leaning back in her seat.

Emiline raised one eyebrow but didnt say anything.

The bus stopped at a parkway, and Nyn got off.
