    also, to.make it even.more unique they should age like they're regular people. maybe we could integrate some powers as well?

    Ooh maybe it's plot could be that two legs want to destroy the temple they live in so they are given the power to transform into humans to prevent it!!!!(a bit stupid, I know).

    No the plot idea is good, but maybe instead of shifting into humans they have guardians or something like that.

    What do we want their overall persona to be like?
    Afraid or friendly to humans?
    Slang terms (like monters, twolegs, kittypets etc)
    Secrtive/open/hostile/friendly clan?
    Accepting of rogues/longers?

    No slang, normal words to be unique
    and Afraid of humans

    They should be a bit secretive and have slightly mysterious ways, but for those in the clan are very friendly. Btw will they have any special powers?

    Maybe powers if they're plot involved and for hps like muddly said? And maybe some kits are born just specially talented in select skills or something like that.
