  • Twi was sitting by the watering hole, aware of the dinosaurs around her. She spotted Redd, the T. Rex, and saw she was still bleeding from her neck.
    That little dinosaur sure could put up a fight, Twi thought. She ran back to the tree the dumb dinosaur had ruined, and she grabbed some of it's huge leaves with her teeth. She ran back to the watering hole, up to the T. Rex.
    "If- uh, well, to keep it from getting infected, you should wash your wound with water, then-uh, you should wrap these leaves around it. Sorry." Twi ran off somewhere to hide.

    Redd stared as Twi approached and proceeded to tell her about what she should do to keep the wound that she had received, which throbbed and stung, from getting infected. Once the herbivore scurried off, the T-rex bent down and scooped up the leaves in her jaws, careful not to shred them with her sharp teeth as she did so. She thought it odd that an herbivore, whom Redd had sought to snack on, had helped her. She gave a low rumbling sound as her way of saying thanks, before stalking off toward the forest, where a river flowed near her den.

    OOC;; I'm so sorry for my inactiveness on this thread. I'll be more active, now, though! <3

  • A shadow slunk in between the trees.

    Genosidium's feet pounded on the ground softly as she made her way through the forest. Her eyes flickered this way and that, scanning everything around her as she cautiously lifted her nose to scent the air. Trees covered the area, half way blocking the sky from view. Ferns and conifers littered the ground, their roots deep and thick, stretching and twisting into the ground, some of the roots nearly poking out of the ground. A mist rolled around the ground, thick and heavy, almost blocking her view from practically everything ten feet away from her.
    She raised her nose and sniffed once more, letting the wind carry the scent into her nostrils. And that's when she smelled it.

    Other dinosaurs.

    Telling by the different mingled scents, there were at least a dozen of them. The raptorex backed up slowly, processing this information as she eyed the ground for traces of where they went.
    Footprints covered the ground, barely seen out against the white hazy glow of the fog. The grass was bent, almost as if someone had mindlessely trampled through the undergrowth. Genosidium cautiously lowered her head to the ground, pausing every once in a while to sniff the crimson droplets that littered the floor. Whatever the creature who's blood this belonged to, she figured that it had either been brought down soon enough.
    And that meant food.
    Genosidium stepped over the blood-stained turf, her steps quickening as she moved on with a new, determined pace. She moved quickly, tracking the blood down to the creature who had lost it. She moved swiftly and silently, leaping over fallen logs and rounding corners, heading to the lake.

  • A loud thud, the sound of wood cracking and slowly falling over echoed through the trees. A disgruntled, deep yelp soon followed the noise of the tree falling. A long period of silence intervened with the noise, until it happened again. This time, some manic laughter followed the thud and a deep squeal erupted from the trees.
    "ZEENA! What are you even trying to do, kill me!?", a voice sounded.
    "We need some fun in our lives, Zaar!", a 2nd voice sounded, this one seemed to be the one called Zeena. The pair soon emerged from the trees, Zaar looking rather unhappy and Zeena looking pleased with herself,"Wait..", Zaar paused,"Can you smell that, Zeena?".
    Zeena inhaled deeply, tasting the air that flowed through her mouth and nose,"Blood", she confirmed. They nodded, and slowly began to follow the scent.

    OOC:

    This was a bit of a rushed post! Apologies!

  • The large, green-scaled female Tyrannosaurus stomped onward, toward the forest's edge. Blood continuously dribbled from the deep gash on her neck, which burned and stung horribly. She just wanted to get to her den not too far within the forest, where she could rest--after she catered to her wound, that was. New scents flooded into her nostrils; two carnivorous dinosaurs, that she automatically recognized just by scent, as Carcharadontosaurus. And another, which smelled quite odd. A raptor, perhaps? Either way. She wasn't about to stick around to find out. Wounded and bleeding, plus tired and aching, she didn't feel like getting into a fight with anyone; and she assumed that the scent of either her blood, or the blood of the triceratops, which the spinosaurus that she'd been reunited with, may have lured the other carnivores to the location that she was at. Redd planned on getting out of here before something happened.

  • OOC: Sorry i am going to have to leave this thread- I am MUCH too inactive and never do anything on it.

  • Along the edge of the forest a large spinosuarus dwells long tail swishing, scattering twigs and leaves. Hunters amber eyes gleamed in the night giving off an eerie glow. His jaws part before snapping them together, hunger clawing at his empty stomach. Growling lowly he rises from his crouch making his was forward and out of the forests cover. Snorting he quietly stomps ahead raising his large head to the star filled sky. His thin maw parts as his scent glands detect two unknown dinosaurs. Eyes narrowing further he pauses for a split second as a oddly familiar scent floods his nostrils. Tyrannosaurus? All of the Tyrannosaurus' I've come by I killed or drove away, yet none smelt similar to this[i]. Quietly snarling he continues on nearing the watering hole.

    A roar echoes around the no longer hushed forest as the cries of dinosaurs ring throughout the crisp air. The thundering of steps follow a young stegosaurus separated from it's herd. [i]So small..but it will satisfy my hunger for a few hours. Kira a young allosaurus thunders alongside the stegosaurus, driving the creature towards a bramble thicket to dense for the young dinosaur to make it through. The allosaurus roars in victory before her jaws slam onto the neck of her prey. With a final cry of pain and distress the dinosaur goes limp with a snap. Kira looks at her meal blood dribbling down her jaws and splattering the forest floor. Knowing her roar must've alerted other carnivores Kira latches her jaws onto it neck and drags it deeper into the forest.

  • OOC;; Oh, alright. That's fine, Firefly. If you ever wanna come back, you're more than welcome to.

    IC;;
    A large blob of shadow fell over the ground in front of the green-scaled, female Tyrannosaurus. Redd drew to a halt and let her jaws fall open ever so slightly to taste the air. Saliva pooled from her teeth, trickled down her jaw, and splashed on the firm soil that she stood on. She had just eaten, gotten her fill, and had been heading for the forest's cover. But the scent that wafted over her scent glands, made her a bit nervous. Spinosaurus. There was something familiar about this scent, though. However, she couldn't understand what or why it was familiar.
    Whipping her head back and forth as the cries of a dinosaur and a roar of another predator echoed in the air nearby, the Tyrannosaurus, already bleeding from a raptor's attack, began to worry. The last thing she needed was an encounter with a strange Spinosaurus, which was coming closer by the second.

  • Hunter nostrils flared the scent of blood reaching his nostrils as the faint outline of the tyrannosaurus came into view. The spinosuarus stops dead in his tracks mind racing to answer why the scent was so familiar. His amber eyes lock onto the wounded carnivore tail grazing the ground beneath him. The air was still while Hunter stood motionless trying to process his options. With her wounded It will be easier to finish her off yet Hunter found all he can do is stand and stare at the mysterious female.

    Kiras jaws slightly parted the scent of carnivores wafting by. Abandoning the idea of taking her prey deeper into the forest she drops it's neck. Quickly she tears into the still warm flesh of the young stegosaurus, blood spilling from the wound and painting the grounded leaves red. Knowing this could be the last meal for weeks she stands tense continuing to rip flesh from the dead dinosaur.

  • OOC;; I just added ya to my watch on DA, by the way, Moon. :3

    IC;;
    Two options seemed to be available to the female Tyrannosaurus as the Spinosaurus in front of her came drifting to a halt. Try to avoid the larger carnivore until he was out of her way, or run and pray that this predator wouldn't give chase. The longer Redd stood there, the more blood dribbled from her neck wound and the more exhausted she felt. Giving a snort and a shake of her head at how stupid the choice she had just made was, the Tyrannosaurus broke into a run, charging in an attempt to pass the Spinosaurus to reach the cover of the forest.
    I'm probably going to regret this...

  • OOC: Aww thank you :-[ :-[

    Hunter snaps out of the daze as the female charges, snorting as his lips curled to show his long razor-sharp teeth. Taking a thunderous step forward he emits a near deafening roar, shattering the rarely quiet night. Eyes glinting he forms a defensive stance, tail lowering to the ground. As Redd nears he turns his body and slams his tail toward her legs in hopes of causing her to stumble or fall.

    Kira flinches as a deafening roar rings through her head pain thumping against her skull. Shaking her head to clear the awful sound she tears off a couple more mouthfuls before fleeing deeper into the forest.
