Flamepaw stood, shaking the loose soil off of his orange tabby pelt, and looked up at her with his bright green eyes. "Sure," he mewed, panting a bit from the effort of the move.

Linnetsong watched Stormpaw as he bounced around. She smiled lightly, amused by her apprentice's actions. The she-cat padded after them, pawsteps soft and carefully placed.
OOC: She was with them wasn't she..? -
Brightpaw looked around the Clan camp, her bright green eyes taking in everything around her. She noticed that Rosepaw was sitting alone, calmly cleaning her paws and face and looking bored. But Brightpaw would never go over and talk to her, for Rosepaw was one of the strangest cats in the camp. No cat liked her, let alone knew anything about her, but no one talked to her. Ever.
-
Yeah, she was
Mossheart looked aver her shoulder and eyes Linnetsong. "I think you should rest today, I'll help train Stormpaw."
-
Stormpaw bounced around the two cats. "I want to train with both of you!" He declared, prancing around excitedly.
Willowsong nodded. "That's the spirit. Try again." She meowed, taking up her position this time. Flamepaw was a fast learner and a smart cat, she knew that as long as he kept trying he'd get it. His ego may be slightly inflated, but she knew a lot of it really came from his success.
Ravenpaw left the Elder's den, wondering what she could do now.
-
Flamingstar continued to follow the scent, growling softly. Jumping through the undergrowth, she was now met with a frail looking cat and her even frailer looking kit. She stopped bristling, confusion and concern on her face as she looked at the cat. "Are you alright?", she asked, her compassionate heart getting the better of her.
Lizardfand nodded his thanks and finished up his vole, eyes shut blissfully. He soon enough fell asleep, kneading into his nest.
-
Quailquiver yelped at the sudden appearance of another cat. She bristled and took a few steps back in an uneven stumble. Boltkit held carefully in her jaws she pinned her ears to her head and crouched, backing up further. "I-I'm sorry! I-- I didn't mean to intrude on your and you mate's territory" She stuttered out the apology just as Zenithglow set paws from the foliage to lay emerald eyes upon the bony and matted furred she-cat. His gaze fell upon the kit as well and instead of speaking he was silent, listening for any danger as this cat could have been chased and followed..
-
Flamingstar sat, watching Quailquiver with a now comforting gaze. "Hey now, it's alright. We won't hurt you, promise.", she mewed, ears perking. "I'm Flamingstar, and this is Zenithglow." She wasn't thinking about anyone who could have followed the queen, she was more worried about helping her out.
-
"Star.. Flamingstar.. Zenith..glow...." Quailquiver whispered the names, she looked up to them eyes wide, almost hopeful, "A-are you a Clan Cat?" She was nearly desperate, praying to StarClan that these two would be from some clan that would take in her son..
---
Zenithglow blinked slowly, this queen knew about clans? She seemed to recognize the name of the leader affix immediately, he was curious.. Just how did she know? -
Flamingstar nodded, tail curling around her paws. "Yes we are. I am the leader of Dawnclan, and you are welcome to rest there until you are fit to travel again to wherever it is you are going.", she mewed, not realizing that the queen really had no destination or home to go to.
-
Quailquiver stood on shaky paws, putting down Boltkit carefully. She was terrified these cats would reject her but she had to ask.. For her son.. "Please.. M-my son and I.. M-may we please join your clan? My name is Quailquiver. If you won't take me, please let my son join! I beg you." She watched them with a pleading gaze. "W-We have no place anymore, I just want him to have a good home.."
--
Boltkit stirred at the sound of his mother's voice, he looked up at the two unknown cats with wide lavender eyes. He blinked slowly, pressing himself into Quailquiver's foreleg, watching them cautiously. -
Flamingstar paused, thinking it over for only a moment. "I would be more than eager to have you in my clan Quailquiver. Would you like me to carry your kit for you?", she asked, getting to her paws and looking to Zenithglow. Perhaps Quailquiver would need to be carried too... When the kit looked up at her, she smiled down at him, purring. "Hello there little one."
-
"Your name." Zenithglow noted. "Two parts, much like a clan name." His eyes met hers and he glanced to Flamingstar.
---
"I-I am.... Was.. a Clan cat.." Quailquiver admitted shakily, she was relieved that they had accepted her but was ready to just about thank StarClan a million times over they had accepted her son. The frail she-cat's skinny frame shook with each breath, her pelt clung to her bones and it was obvious she hadn't properly eaten in probably moons now.
---
Boltkit's eyes were bright, curiosity glowing in their depths. He was in much better shape than his mother, while still skinny he didn't look near as malnourished. ".. Hello.." He meowed quietly, his lavender gaze held hers, far bolder but still as cautious as his mother. "Mamma said you were Clan cats.. That's true?" He cocked his head a tad, ears twitching. -
Flamepaw dipped his head to his mentor, mentally preparing for the battle move he was about to do. He leaped, doing as Willowsong had done and pushed off the tree, barely touching it, and landed on top of his mentors back. He gripped tightly, his eyes lighting with the love of success.
-
Willowsong laughed, craning her neck to peer at Flamepaw who was now on her back. "Good job!" She purred. "You can get off me now, though." She grinned at her apprentice.
-
Flamepaw grinned, leaping off her and standing proudly in front of his mentor. "Thank you," he mewed, his bright green eyes even brighter with her praise. All he wanted was to be the best he could be, and have cats notice him. Meanwhile, Brightpaw was still lounging around camp, thinking about the cats she saw inside camp. So far, she had only wondered about Rosepaw, who had long since moved off and out of her line of sight. She had always wondered about her, and why no one hung around her, and why no one seemed to know anything about her.
-
Flamingstar chuckled softly and nodded, a smile on her maw. "That is true. And what would your name be?", she mewed, flicking her now questioning gaze to Quailquiver as she awaited the answer on whether or not she could carry the kit. Her tail twitched, and she turned her gaze back to the little tom in front of her.
-
Willowsong smiled. "Do you want to try jumping on me while I stay still one more time, or should I try and dodge you this time? You'll have to be fast." She warned Flamepaw.
-
"Boltkit. Mamma named me like a clan kit. She told me stories about the Clans." Boltkit smiled a tad, almost in an admiring way as he had heard only good stories about the clans.
--
Quailquiver picked up Boltkit, not about to let him go now. She had only of let them carry him if they didn't accept her but agreed to raise her son. She looked at the two, still a tad wobbly but her will kept her on her paws. She knew her pads were cracked, bloody and infected but she wouldn't drop now.. -
Willowsong smiled. "Do you want to try jumping on me while I stay still one more time, or should I try and dodge you this time? You'll have to be fast." She warned Flamepaw."Try to dodge. I need a challenge," the orange tabby apprentice mewed, the look in his eyes sparkling with determination. He was ready for this.
