Ferretpelt padded out of the Warriors' den and smiled at Sassystar.
Sugarpelt sat in her den with her herbs.

Sassystar smiled." Coyoteheart?!" She called.

Firekit/paw came out of the den and went up to Sassystar and told her"Im ready to be an apprintice."

Silvermist came into the clan with a bleeding paw. "Great starclan this hurts." she muttered. While she was hunting she treaded on a thorn. She tried to get it out, but it was stuck. But she managed to iiglle it a little loose. I better go see our medecine cat. she thought. Her paw still bleeding, she made her way into the med's cat's den. "hello?" she called softly.

Sugarpelt looked up "Silvermist" she meowed "Come in how can i help you?"

" A thorn got in my paw!" she growled softly.

"Oh well lets have a look" she meowed "Hold up your paw" Sugarpelt pulled over some marigold.

She held up her paw obediantely.

Sugarpelt eyed the thorn and gripped it with her teeth a tugged it out and spat it on the floor.

"thanks!" she purred and licked her paw. Then, as casualy as she could, asked, "Wheres Firestreak?"

"I dont know out somewhere" meowed Sugarpelt with a shrug.

" Ok. Clan meeting!" Sassystar called across the clearing.

Sugarpelt padded to her den entrance and sat inside it while Ferretpelt looked up.

" Firekit is ready to become an apprentice. He will be known as Firepaw and his mentor will be Silvermist!" Sassystar announced.

Silvermist purred and came forward to touch noses with her new apprentice.

Firepaw went up and touched noses with his new mentor.

Sassystar smiled at the new mentor and apprentice.

Ferretpelt called out Firepaw's name then looked at the ground and Sugarpelt went into her den.

Silvermist licked her apprentice's head. "Congratulations! So, what do you want to do first?" she asked.
