Hunted {P}

Kiba dodged to the side catching the knife in her hand. "Shouldn't little boys like you be wondering what girls are doing even though you'll never find out, you're so pathetic?" she said sweetly.

Jessica turned towards Jake, surprised. She had hurt him deeply, many times. She knew that. But why was he still protecting her? Wasn't he sick of her?
With a shock, Jessica realized that he actually truly cared about her...and she might care about him as well, if she let herself.
She shook her head, knowing that there were more important things at hand. She could get to taht later...now, they were being threatened.
"Emma?" she turned to the girl, waiting for her to tell her what to do. For once, she was putting Emma in charge. Emma would know what to do better than her.

Knowing that the rest of the flock was confused at her actions, Jessica nodded. "Alright, sounds reasonable to me. Will we be able to take them out?" She looked at each flock member. "How many are there?"

Gritting her teeth against the barrage of words that threatened to escape her lips, Jessica let out a frustrated hiss. "Fine. I suppose that we have to accept his help."
She looked over at Jake, and suddenly leaned over to kiss him on the cheek. "Thank you," she whispered. "For everything."
She had the strangest feeling that she wasn't going to survive much longer...and she wanted him to know that she appreciated him.

((oooh, that's a good idea! but then they'd have to rescue dawn cause by then jessica will be good and will know that she has to save him in return for saving her xD i'd like for her not to die...cause she kinda is my only character haha :P but i was willing to do it for the sake of the plot *deep dramatic sigh* :P))

Ic: Jessica's first instinct was to flinch when she heard that Dawn was going to be there soon. She needed time to prepare, to steel her nerves for seeing him again. But then she forced herself to relax. Emma had been right all along...Jessica had only cared about herself for...well, pretty much her whole life. But now she would change. She would be a team player...well, as much as she could of course.

Jessica smiled back at Jake. She wanted to say 'I love you' to him, but knew she wasn't ready. She had hurt him enough in the past. When she said those words to him, she was going to mean it. With all her heart.

Then, she remembered the mutant killer standing in front of them. "What do we do about him?" Jessica gestured. "I mean, obviously he's not as big of a threat as the assassins. But we can't have him taijling us the whole time, can we?"

The wolf girl dodged out of the way of one of his well placed knives. It disheartened him, but it didn’t dash his optimism completely one because out of two is still good. Then the muscular man grabbed the knife and tossed it to the little girl. Little girls with knifes is a safety hazard!

“You’re not smarter than me, you just have wicked mind reading abilities. You can’t process half the information my brain waves are carrying. You try to convince yourself that you can, but face reality little girl, you can’t.”

“Right on bucko. She was beside me, and someone, most likely a mutant, slipped something in her DNA. It was devastating and I had to put her out of my misery. So I will exact her pain ten times fold on all of you.”

Then they started to have a conversation about him! The villains are supposed to have the monologue, not the heroes. They don’t train very good heroes these days.

“You’re scared of some assassins? Ha, they can’t be on my level.” He then did all the stops. He slammed the net traps releasing them above Jake and Jessica, and Kiba. He then clapped his hands for an unknown reason. A wood harpoon shooter pointed towards Emma. It fired its metal shaft at her. Seth had installed that as his real plan, keeping it out of his mind the whole times. He knew she could read minds so he had tried to counteract the measure. While he was setting it up, he had let his thoughts drift onto how he would kill them.

He then aimed his gun towards Jake and shot a bullet towards him. He figured the net would hit him, causing his super speed to be useless.

Kiba jumped in front of the bullet, it slashing through her arm, she letting out a howl of pain, that seemed to make the forest go silent.
Her eyes opened all of a sudden they turned red. "Alright, you wanna play fine let's play," she snarled. Her body went dead still when her body shifted into that of her real form a pony sized wolf.

Jessica, for once, had no idea what to do. "That's it, I'm sick of fighting this creep." she growled.
Throwing forward all her hypnotizing powers, she faught to bring Seth under her control. For once, she wasn't using seduction, just simple hypnotic waves. She gritted her teeth; his mind was strong, and it would be hard to overpower.

((It sucks to be Seth. :P Also Amber I have no idea how your power works so I am trying my best to represent it. ))

The little girl must have predicted what would happen because the harpoon missed. All the effort he had put into the trap was wasted when she just sidestepped. It looked like that his nets worked, till the man cut out of it. The bullet worked on the Kiba, but she turned into one huge ticked wolf. Why is life never fair?

“Wait they are mutants?” he said confused. Why would mutants hunt each other? Scum always groups together.

Then a thought popped in his head. “Run away now” was its message. It was so tempting Seth almost did it. There was something wrong though, it didn’t feel natural. Another one came saying “Drop your weapon” Were where all these rouge thoughts coming from? They came in torrents trying to overpower his mind. Each sounded like it was from his brain, but Seth knew he would never think these kind of thoughts. It still caused him mental agony.

He dropped his gun and grabbed his head with both of his hands. “GET OUT OF MY HEAD!” he screamed.

Jessica's face was a mask of pain...it always hurt when she tried doing it against the stronger minded people. She reached out to him again, trying to convince him that they were friends. Then, she locked her eyes on his, using ultimate power. "If you work with us, then you can take down mutants even more powerful than us. You can take down the assassins. You just have to join us." Her voice was soft, melodic, hypnotizing.

Kiba took this opportunity to aim to pin Seth to the ground.

He would of course kill these mutants when the chance arose, but it didn’t hurt to have a common ally. Anyway alliances never lasted for long anyway.

Then a wolf slammed into him. It caused him to collide to the ground, and it pinned him to the ground. “So you want my services? Very well, though can you get your …ahhh… pet off me?”

Kiba got off of Seth returning to her human form when she turned and her heart all but leapt from her chest when she saw Dawn, the black haired blue eyed boy who had she had liked from the time they had all been in the school together.

Kiba ignored the two turning to Seth whom Jessica it seemed had under control. A shooting pain announced itself to her from her arm where the bullet had caught her.
Zephyr never far from her side sniffed the wound.
"It is not bad, you were lucky it just grazed your arm however little one, elsewise you would have died," he growled.
Kiba nodded ripping the tie she had from around her neck and with some difficulty bandaged her wounded arm.
