    Snowdrop planted herself overtop the pups, her paws firm as she lowered her head and pulled back her lips in a snarl. "Don't even try to touch any of the pups, Alpha. They belong with us, whether you run this pack or not." Snowdrop's white fur was bristled and raised along her back and her ears pinned back angrily. Her normally warm silver eyes were like hard chips of ice as she glared at the Dark Hearts wolves.


    Griselda watched the white fae with evident shock in her blue-green eyes. The last time she had been with Snowdrop, the fae had seemed old and tired, like losing her pack had physically aged her. But here she was, looking young and fierce as she protected the pups from Alpha.
