I guess I should stop for a minute... Jay thought as she came up to a large river. The tribute from district six had made it out of the blood bath unharmed and with a long dagger. She knelt at the edge of the stream and checked if the water was clear. It was. Good. She thought as she got up after a drink. She took a step back, walking into someone who had come up behind her. She was about to call out for help and run off when the person grabbed a hold of her arm and covered her mouth to stifle her shout. "You shouldn't have told me you can't swim..." That was when Jay knew who had her caught. "Better hope someone comes and saves you!" And with that, the person swiftly lifted Jay up and tossed her into the center of the river. She was able to surface once but then felt herself sink. She tried to get herself back up but not knowing how to swim made it impossible. The corners of her vision started to blacken as she stopped struggling and let herself sink. The last thing she saw before her vision went completely dark was a person diving into the water.
Who would have thought that I would die of drowning...(Hunger Games RP)
-
-
Andy, The male tribute from District 2, Dove into the water, His black hair getting into his Crystalline blue eyes. He grabbed Jay's wrist, Quickly swimming back up to the surface. It didn't really matter if he was From district 2, He didn't have to be a jerk like the Rest of the careers. He laid her on the Shore, Then stood up. "Hey," He muttered, Poking her with the foot of his Combat boot. "Hey! Wake up!" He said, Shaking her silently, His sharp bangs falling into his eyes.
-
Jay's eyes shot open as she started to cough out all the water she took in. She sat up as she took a few deep breaths and started to cough again. "Why-" She started to cough again. She took a few deep breaths again as she rubbed the water out of her eyes. "Why didn't you just let me drown?" Her voice sounded a bit hoarse. That was around the time she remembered what district He was from. Keep it together... She thought as she moved her hand to the dagger that was still in her belt.
-
"....." Andy was silent for a moment, He shrugged. "Look. It's not my fault I'm a Career, but I just saved your life.... No normal career would do that, So put the Knife back." He muttered, a hint of Annoyance to his voice.
-
Jay thought about it for a second. "Fine..." She said as she placed the knife done next to her. Okay...Now what? She thought as she got up. She looked out at the river. "Can't believe I let him toss me in there..." She said to herself.
-
"....Who's 'Him'?" Andy asked, his arms crossed. He looked around, His eyes narrowed. He then instinctively took out his Sword as he heard a twig snap, It was only a bird though. He silently put his sword back, Muttering under his breath.
-
Jay had whipped around at the sound of the twig and reached for the dagger that was on the ground. "The guy from my district..." She paused for a second "He knows to much about me..." She then thought of something. "We should leave before he comes back. He'll notice that a cannon didn't go off for my death..."
-
Andy nodded. "Yeah." He replied, slowly turning around. "Which way should we go?" He added.
-
"Uh..." Jay had to think about this. She hadn't seen which way her enemy had gone since she was trying not to die. "Let's fallow the river... That way my wet tracks aren't as easy to fallow."
-
Andy shrugged. "Yeah, Sure." He mumbled, walking off in the direction of the river.
-
Jay nodded and walked after him. She was quickly out of breath since she was still recovering for almost drowning. She kept glancing over her shoulders and jumping at every sound. Now who did I make it this far...? She thought as she quickly glanced over her shoulder.
-
"Are you okay?" Andy asked, tilting his head so His sharp bangs fell in his Crystalline blue eyes. He glanced around, Searching for what she was freaking out about.
-
"Yeah..." Jay said once she noticed it was all in her head. "I'm fine." With the fact she jumped at every sound, Jay was positive no one was fallowing them. Well, She hoped.
-
Andy nodded. "Okay, So....Where should we go now?" He asked, glaring around.
-
Jay scanned the trees as she talked, "I'm not su-" She was cut off when she push Andy to the ground as an arrow flew by. She looked of the trees until she found the person who shot st them.
-
Andy nodded his thanks to Jay, Silently, and Slowly, unsheathing a Knife. He swiftly threw it at the Attacker, the cannon instantly going off. His Crystalline blue eyes narrowed in a Defensive sort of way.
-
Jay was surprised at his sudden attack. She whipped around with her knife out. She hopped that their was no one else around. It was still to early to get hurt and have a chance of winning,
-
"Jay, We have to move. Now." Andy muttered, Standing up. He looked around, Hoping none of the other tributes would come in their direction.
-
"Where?" Jay said as she tried to keep the panic out of her voice. "We don't know who that was and if they had any friends!" She looked around. "We could walk right into someone!"
-
Andy sighed, Shaking his head, Annoyance in his gaze. "It'll be fine.... Now, All I know, is that we have to get away from this River, We will have to move. Soon. The other tributes, or Other careers could come..." He mumbled, Taking out a short sword.
