She tended to stick to the back, and just kinda drift around thinking her own thoughts as others conversed ahead of her. It was something she preferred.

The group of people ahead of her cast Kenzi a glance before letting out little laughs. Great. Now she's gonna be mocked even more... Anger lights up in her eyes, and she glowers at them but tries her best to ignore it. Staying pissed off at them wasn't going to change anything. They were going to continue being the narrow minded jerks they were, and she wasn't going to be able to stop them.

Her voice had started to rise, noticeable anger in it. Kenzi momentarily closes her eyes, exhales, opens them again and sighs. "I hate it, and I want it to stop," she says very quietly.

[size=7pt][color=black]"I know." Her voice is still quiet. Kenzi rapidly blinks a few times, exhaling sharply. A ringing sound fills her ears and she squeezes her eyes shut,, her breathing irregular now. She opens her eyes and they're red, starting to water a little. "I need to go," she says silently, her voice shaking." Rising to her feet, she blinks a few times, trying to clear her head. Her steps are uneven, and it's pretty clear she's not feeling well. She quickens her pace and walks as fast as she can. Once she's out of the cafeteria, she starts to jog through the halls, to one of the bathrooms and locks herself in one of the stalls. A burning sensation rises in her throat as she stands over the toilet. Once that's over, she feels her cheek get wet as a tear slides down and she just breaks down and starts crying.

[size=7pt][color=black]Her sobbing gets more quiet when she hears Hannah's voice. "What's wrong is people are assholes and I'm sick of their bullshit. And I've never, ever had anyone stand up for me like you do. I'm struggling with my sexuality and I know you were trying to defend me, but now that just gives them more reason to mock me," she answers, her voice shaking, a hint of frustration noticeable. "I'm sick of it, and I just want to leave this damn school." Kenzi raises her hand to the lock and unlocks the door and leaves the stall, looking up at Hannah. Her eyes are red and her cheeks are wet. "I guess I was lying when I said I was getting used to it..." she says, letting out a small sigh.

She rests her chin on Hannah's shoulder, hugging her even more tightly, her hand gently rubbing her back. It was something she did. She had to have something to do with her hands, which is one reason why she started drawing. Inhaling softly, she says into Hannah's ear with a quiet voice, "Thank you Hannah. Thank you so much. And I know. They do it just to screw with my feelings, because they know I'm passionate about drawing. So they mock my passion, and it hurts like hell. I never have the guts to say something back. I just accept it and feel like sh*t because of it. I appreciate that you're here for me. No one's ever done that before.. People will be occasionally nice but you're the first to really go beyond that. Honestly, you're the greatest friend I've had. And I don't wanna lose you.." Kenzi stops talking. At this point, she's just kinda rambling. Instead, she just closes her eyes and lets out a pleasant sigh, hugging Hannah more gently. "You are truly amazing," she says after a moment. "Really. I just want you to know that..."
