  • Okay, so, I have a few questions about the eye color manipulation power.
-- Can the eyes turn any color, or only realistic colors? (For example, could their eyes turn purple or red?)
-- If the cat with the power does not have white, can they still make their eyes blue?
-- I've seen some people with "eye color manipulation charts" and it lists certain colors with certain emotions. Is this required for the power?
-- Does their eye color only change because of their emotions, or can the cat change the color at will?
-- Does this power come with side affects? If so, what are they? (E.g., manipulation of molecules: nosebleeds and headaches)

Well that was a little more than a few but... whatevs.

    -yes
    -no
    -can change at will
-waiting on this one (it doesn't state so in the description, so I'm guessing it's your choice)

  • 1. I believe only realistic colors. However, certain shades of lavender and pink are realistic when caused by albinism, so I believe those would be allowed.
    2. Yep. (As a side note, there are some real-life cats that have blue eyes but no white.)
    3. No. Many people choose to use their character's eye color as a sort of "mood ring", but this is their choice. The character's eye color can have whatever reason you want for changing -- at will? due to emotions? based on the weather? it's totally up to you.
    4. See 3.
    5. No intrinsic side effects as far as I know.
However, if you wanted to add the extra touch of realism: if your character's eye color changes to one associated with albinism (i.e. Siamese blue, blue-violet, lavender, or pink) you could temporarily give them the vision problems associated with albinistic eyes -- sensitivity to bright light, blurry vision, bad night vision.

  • Well, here's a summary, if you want it. Cats have two types of albinism, blue-eyed and red-eyed.

Blue-eyed albino cats have eyes that are pale blue, blue-violet, or lavender:

Red-eyed albino cats have eyes that are pink:

However, these colors are caused by an extreme lack of pigment in their irises, which means that they can't block out light -- making it very hard to see in bright light, and to focus on faraway objects. Albino cats also don't have the reflective layer at the back of the eyes that normal cats have, so they also have worse night vision.

(Point cats also don't have this layer, so they also have bad night vision.)

  • The power can be used for unrealistic eye colors.

    Even pulsing rainbow sparkles.

  • [fancypost borderwidth=0px; text-align: justify; font-align: justify;]I had no idea unrealistic eye-colours could be used! I would have answered, but it seems everyone else has given you the info you need to know C: And I learned something, too.
