  • Cookiepaw slowly walked around the camp, her tail dragging. It seems like there is no life for the Wretched. She thought despairingly. Until I have a higher rank, no one bothers with me.

  • It was then that the form of a cinnamon tabby came barreling into the scene. Her tail falling like a veil behind her. She was rather fluffy when it came down to it, and that was what was such the problem today. Acid had managed to get her tail caught in a blackberry bush, and it returned to her throbbing with pain. Her sweet yowl filled the air as the pain surged again. It was when she brought her head back down that she noticed The Wretched. Ears laying flat against her skull she stalked up to the young she-cat. It was then that the question formed on her lips.

"Will you stop looking like that and do something about my tail?" It was a demand really, however Acid had managed to put a question in to make it seem more polite.

  • Cookiepaw sat up, startled at the cat's demands. "Well, of course I'll try to help. But I would be much more willing to do so if you were kinder about it." She mewed scoldingly. "Now let me take a look at your tail."

  • Acid, be nice about something. That was frankly more than could ever be expected of the she-cat. She was named after her tainted personality afterall. She was almost infamous for it even. Yet here stood a Wretched asking that she change the biggest part of who she was. The nerve! A bitter smile formed in Acid's eyes at the prospect. "Have I ever demanded that you change your pelt in for one of spots?" She was teasing of course in all seriousness. However, truth reigned in her words.

  • Cookiepaw paused a moment, her head cocked, thinking. "I suppose you're right." She mewed finally. "Sorry. Here, just a moment, and I'll have this sorted." She began working on the she-cats tail, then said, "I'm Cookiepaw, by the way. I don't remember meeting you."

  • "Acid. My name's Acid. N I don't doubt you haven't, I'm pretty busy fixing everyone's mistakes all the time that it makes it pretty hard to find me." The words came out harshly in her sweet voice, however their intentions were innocent. That was just who she was. Tough like her mother always pushed her to be. She was a fortress, and was always defending herself.

  • Cookiepaw bit her lip, stifling a chuckle. For some reason, Acid amused her. "Ah, yes, well I'm sure that everyone appreciates the work you do." Cookiepaw finished with Acid's tail. "There, that should do it. How's it feel now?"

  • Acid flexed her tail to see the basic jist of it. "It's alright, I guess." The words were harsh but a hint of a smile danced in her eyes at the sight of relief. No more pain, for at least another five seconds. Calm washed over her, as she felt her entire body being to relax. It wasn't everyday she could just sit around and not have to be bothered with others problems.

"Just yesterday I got sent on an errand after V, because Lilith thought she might have some troubles with her Werecatting assignment. Boy was she right. V was up to neck in them ShadowClan cats, I wouldn't be surprised if the worst would have happened if I hadn't arrived to save the day." A look of smug pride filled her eyes. That was the one thing about being called on to fix others problems, you realize how awesome you are, and how terrible lame everyone else is.

  • Cookiepaw looked up at Acid with admiring eyes. "Wow, I guess we're pretty lucky to have you here, huh?" She twitched her tail. "Erm...what rank are you? If I might ask, of course."

  • "Oh, I'm a Forgotten, of course." She was shocked Cookiepaw had to ask. Afterall didn't she look like she was old enough if she was running errands of great magnatuide for Litith? Well, it was possible since she was only a moon into her Forgotten role.[/b]

  • Cookiepaw looked down, embarrassed. "Oh, of course." she was silent for a moment, and then blurted out. "Whats it like? I'm so sick of being a Wretched...is it exciting being a Forgotten?"

  • "It's more than a handful, if you do it right. Especially if you're female. Every love interest you'll ever have will be snatched from you. If you fall in love with your best friend, one day you'll see his kits inside another she-cat. It's a hard life, Cookiepaw. Keep that in mind." A sense of sorrow reigned over her. She herself had given up so much for the position she only half loved. The experience of kitting... It was something she'd never know. She could never love anything and know it was a part of her. Because she could never expect to be loved back. Yes, the life of a female Forgotten was a little more than harsh.

  • Cookiepaw saw the pain in the other cat's eyes. "Wow...I never thought of that." She shifted her paws. "But it's worth it...right?"

  • "Oh sure it's worth it. But you have to deiced where your duty lies. Or you could lose everything that was ever important to you." Even at her young age Acid had already endured the loss of happiness. The only tom she had ever loved was dead now, as were his kits. She had made sure of that. Bitter heartache rose within her chest. Yes, her chance at happiness was gone.

  • Cookiepaw was thoughtful now. She wanted to have kits someday, she knew that. But was she willing to give up her dreams for them? Or was having kits her dream? Now she was simply confused. She was thinking so hard, she totally forgot that Acid was standing right there.

  • "So yea, it's a tough break kid. But it's not something you wanna mess up. Love doesn't wait around." Her tail flickered in a sign of regret. A deep sigh pulled from within her. The life she had given to lead the one she did now. It was her deepest tragedy, and it was self written. The day he died, she lost all attachment to the world, even GhoulClan.

  • Sphinx bounded up to the two she-cats "Hey, what are you two talking about"

((Just wondering how long would it be until Sin and Gyphon's litter get to be apprentices I forgot it was called))

  • ooc: It can be done in this months ceremonies thread. : ) Though I was expecting to do it next month.

Acid would have blushed at Spynx's random appearance, however in the case of her emotional derge, she was leaning more towards violence. It was time to leave. She had left much on Cookiepaw's mind, that much she could be sure of, and she would rather leave than face the embarassment of a self written tragedy. So without even bothering to say goodbye, she left.

    ACID--OUT

  • Cookiepaw watched Acid as she left, and then turned to Sphinx. "Oh...nothing." she looked down at the ground, embarassed. "Sorry, but I don't remember your name."

  • Sphinx watched as Acid walk off 'Was it something I said' then turned to face Cookiepaw "Oh thats fine I forget everyones name every now and again, I'm Sphinx"
