    Pondfur meowed "I have nothing else to say, i just don't think Smudgeheart should be deputy, sorry Smudgeheart, maybe when you have more experience,"

    "FuzzFur, listen to it this way, SmudgeHeart was just appointed a warrior! How would he know what to do? He's practically still an apprentice!" HawkStar turned to SmudgeHeart, "Do you even agree with FuzzFur on this?'

    "I dont know. I would just like to serve you. Eagleyes is a good deputy but ive been waiting SO long for this. I wanted to be deputy ever since i was a kit." Smudgeheart replied

    Pondfur meowed to Smudgeheart "I don't mean to be disrespectful, but almost every cat has wanted to be deputy ever since they were a kit," "Hawkstar, don't you think you should ask Eagleeyes his opinion?" asked Pondfur gently.

    "HawkClan's ancestors said that in a debait such as this a leader must talk to them in their dreams and tell the clan what their ancestors think." HawkStar sighed and dissmissed the clan saying, "Go get rest, I will tell you their decision when I come back from the Shining Oak." as she padded towards the entrance of camp.

    why couldn't you just come back tomorrow and catch up?

    ic:HawkStar padded back into camp in the early morning light and headed straight for her own den. Her eyes were wide and troubled and she hoped none of the clan was awake to see her in this state.

    HawkStar had reached her den and curled up in her nest and shut her eyes trying to comfort herself in the familiar surroundings

    Pondfur trotted over to Hawkstar's den. "Hawkstar?" he whispered. "I was just wondering if i could go on the dawn patrol," he mewed.

    HawkStar's muscles tensed as she whipped around only to relax a minute later to see it was only PondFur. "s-sure. Go ahead, just tell them I've gotten back and don't want to be bothered please." HawkStar sounded more like a kit than a leader and her posture was the one of pure exhaustion.
