  • "I'm fine. So, I was wondering if you wanted to go somewhere before you had to go for your night shift. And... I was wondering if you wanted to be my girlfriend," he said, watching her nervously.

  • Eli raised an eyebrow, and felt the warmth rush to her cheeks. "I'd love to go out with you, but on the girlfriend question I like old fashioned stuff. I have to get to know you, you have to get to know me. Ask again after the date." She wasn't trying to shoot him down, she really just wanted to know him without being official so that she can decide if he really could be something more. "You think about that while I change, okay?" She asked, already heading towards her bedroom.

  • "Okay, well I'll be here," he said, sitting on the couch: He pulled out his phone andscrolled through his instagram, waiting for her to come out.

  • Eli came out in the next ten minutes ready to go. She had on a pair of daisy dukes on with a flowy flower shirt on, sandals to match, and was carrying her smaller purse. "Alright pretty boy, lead the way." She said bending over near him to reach her fallen Chapstick.

  • Blue tried to look away, but couldn't help but stare. "You wanna drive my truck again? I'm not really in the mood for it," he said, handing her his keys.

  • "Well, I still have to get my car from the bar, so we can drive there afterwards. Um, sure." Eli took his keys and held onto them, then looked around for her phone before realizing it was in her back pocket. "Alright I think I'm good, let's go." She headed towards the door and opened it, looking back at Blue.

  • Blue held it open for her. "After you," he said, trying to act as poilte as possible. When she walked out, he shut and locked the door. He offered her his hand shyly.

  • Eli smiled and took his hand, intertwining their fingers together. She started walking down the hallway with him, and she looked up at him curiously. "How come you don't have paparazzi following you or anything. I mean you are the star quarterback." She bearly added 'on my favorite team' but held back and waited for him to reply. She bot iced how small her hand seemed to be compared to his larger one.

  • "They usually only follow me after a game. We haven't had one in about a week so everything has died down. We just have to keep this quiet and hidden from the paparrazi because I donmt want you to get hurt by something they put in the tabloids. It gets crazy and they'll turn this into something that it shouldn't be," he said, kissing her forehead.

  • "I'm not gonna get hurt." Eli said stubbornly. She rolled her eyes, though her cheeks were a light pink at him kissing her forehead. "If anything what they would say would be funny." She shrugged her shoulders and clicked the button for the elevator. She knew Blue wanted her to be safe and stay unhurt, but she could handle herself.

  • "So, where to? There's that really fancy place downtown," he said, waiting for the elevator to open. "I love you," he said, going ahead and saying it before he messed something up.

  • Eli froze, her facing turning pale. "I uh," She stammered over her words. She barely even knew the guy, though she did have some feelings for him. She sighed and stepped back, dropping Blue's hand. "This wasn't a good idea, I'm sorry." Was all she mumbled before turning around and starting the quick walk back to her apartment. She didn't understand, she told him that she was pretty much old fashioned but here he was telling her he loved her. She dug in her purse for her lets and fumbled around with them, feeling her emotions taking control over her.

  • Blue went after her, not really knowing what he did wrong. "Eli, wait! What did I do? I was just.... I'm new to this okay. Just please give me a chance," he pleaded desperately.

  • Eli shook her head, realizing how dramatic she was being over this. "I'm being ridiculous. I'm sorry, I just... No one's said that to me since a couple years ago, I barely even know you Blue, and I'm honestly afraid." She turned around and looked at him with a saddened expression. "I'm afraid because you want something more than just a one night stand, and I do too but this is truthfully the first time in almost a year I've opened up to someone since my dad... Yeah."

  • "It's alright, I shouldn't have said it that quickly, it's just that I'll always do something wrong and I don't want to lose you. You want to just sit and talk?" he asked.

  • "That would be nice." Eli declared, opening her apartment back up. She walked inside and set everything down before sitting on the couch, watching Blue closely. She kicked off her sandals and folded her legs underneath her, a habit she did when she was nervous and it was just an everyday habit.

  • Blue walked in and sat down beside her. "So, what do you want to talk about first?" he asked, letting her have the first choice.

  • Eli resisted the urge to break out in song, and looked curiously at Blue. "Tell me about yourself. Hobbies, fears, favorites, birthday, I want to get to know you." She smiled encouragingly and tilted her head to the side, looking innocent.

  • "Fine. You should already know my hobbies though. I teally like football and baseball and occasionally I'll read. Don't laugh, but I'm afraid of spiders. Those thing are just creepy. I donmt really have anythong that's a favorite, and my Birthday's October 14th. Your turn," he saod.

  • Eli laughed, then covered her mouth. "Well um, I read, I think I can sing, I like four wheeling and was told by my dad that I was the son he never had. I'm actually terrified of moths, not sure why, and small spaces. My favorite season is fall, I think it's because the football, the colder weather, the hot chocolate and everything. My birthday is November 19th."
