  • "Yeah, yeah. So, can we leave now?" He asked, putting his arm around her neck to steady himself. he kissed her lightly and walked around to the passenger side of the truck.

  • Eli nodded her head and laughed gently, opening the door up for him, helping to get him inside. "Pretty boy, aren't you the one whose supposed to open the door for me?" She teased, leaning her small and slender frame on the car door. She reached up and gently pecked his cheek before shutting the door and going over to the driver's door. She climbed inside and sighed at the comfy seat. Moving the seat forward to make it easier to drive she turned on the truck and was instantly surrounded by the noise of the country music.

  • "Like it? This is my pride and joy. So you have to go down the backroads to get to wjere I live and I'm honestly in no condotion to guide you. You can use the GPS if you have to," he said, leaning his head against the chilly window.

  • Eli nodded her head and glanced at the GPS, hitting the home button. She looked over at the address and felt her face pale, though she didn't dare comment on it. She pulled out of the parking lot and followed the dorections though she knew where she was headed. She sighed and turned down the music, trying to ignore the start of her headache. She looked over at Blue curiously but then looked out the windshield, trying to focus on driving.

  • "Everything alright? You seem a little worried," he said, scooting to the dash and pulling it up. He sat in the middle and watched the road, vision hazy and mind foggy. He leaned against Eli, hoping everything was fine.

  • Eli jumped when Blue leaned against her. "You're gonna squish me!" She laughed out, trying to shove Blue off of her. She didn't reply to his question and looked up at him, her green eyes sparkling. "You're gonna kill me before we even get to your house, pretty boy." She took one hand off the steering wheel and poked his side, though she was thankful for the sudden warm.

  • "I am not. You're the one who'se worrying me," he said, putting his arm around her shoulder. "You need to focus on the road and stop poking me." He turned on the radio, lowering the volume to where it was barely playing.

  • "You need to stop distracting me." Eli responded, laughing a little bit as she realized how drunk he actually was. She glanced at the GPS and turned on the street where it told her to, and announced they had twenty more minutes to go. "Or almost distracting me, really. I wouldn't want to crash your prod and joy." She teased him, then was surprised how carefree she was around him. It had to be from the alcohol, that's the only logic reason, was what she tried convincing herself though she knew what was happening.

  • "I'm not distracting you, just annoying you because you won't answer my question. I'm gonna bug you until you answer me," he said, resting his head in her lap tiredly.

  • Eli blushed, and refused to look at Blue. "Isn't that considered sexual harassment?" She asked, referring to his head in her lap. "I'm fine, now get off my lap." She poked the back of his head and frowned down at him, though she struggled not to smile. She looked at the GPS for the turn coming up and clicked on the turn signal.

  • "No, it's considered I'm drunk and tired so you won't complain or I'll have to make you get out," he said, closing his eyes in exhaustion. "If I don't get any sleep then I'm gonna be really mad at you for waking me up."

  • Eli raised her eyes, then realized Blue probably thought she was just willing to him home. She bit her bottom lip and masked her disappointment like a pro. She ran a hand through his hair gently, hoping this would make him more tired. She watched the road and realized how bored she was without Blue's teasing and near constant talking.

  • "You know what you need? Two shots of Jack Daniel's and a beer. That should lighten your mood a little. So are we almost there?" he asked, willing himself to stay awake.

  • Eli rolled her eyes. "I'm pretty sure you're trying to get me drunk so that I can't leave." She patted his head gently and continued driving, turning on a skinnier road. "We have about ten more minutes, I'm sure you can wait, princess." She teased. She flicked her red hair over her shoulder quickly, the long hair starting to bug her.

  • "Oh, aren't you just the nicest person I've ever met," he said, sitting up and leaning against her shoulder. "I prolly couldn't pass a straight line test right now," he said.

  • Eli shrugged her shoulders and looks at Blue for a moment. "I never said that I was nice." She said looking back in front of her. She turned on the last road and slowed down the truck, noticing the speed change. She leans back and sighs, her headache creeping closer now. She leaned into Blue's warmth and shook her head. "I'm sure you couldn't, you must be a lightweight after only two tequila shots."

  • "Nah, I just haven't drank in about a year. I'm usually the designated driver," he said, looking at the road. "It's right up here on the left," he said, leaning closer.

  • Eli pulled the truck into the driveway and shut it off, looking at the house. She unbuckled her seat belt and looked over at Blue. "I'm helping you inside and then I'm leaving." She says firmly, though it was obvious if he really wanted her to stay she would stay, but he had to offer the right thing. She started getting out of the truck, having to jump down to reach the ground.

  • Blue climbed out and stumbled around, nearly falling. "So, I'm gonna get you a drink," he said, grabbing the keys and shakily putting them into the keyhole. He walked in and sat down on the couch in the living room. He dug through an icechest and pulled out a Bud Light bottle and popped the top. "Here."

  • "Sorry sweetheart, I told you I was leaving." Eli laughe at Blue's weak attempt and started walking back towards the from door. "I've got work tomorrow." Which was true, she had to work at a delicious pizzeria all day then work at the club later that night. She started thinking that he wasn't attracted to her like she was to him and that made her sad, she knew she wasn't like drop dead gorgeous but she did think she was pretty.
