  • The two men sent glares at each other. Very intense glares. Glares that could cut through diamonds.

"Yeah. I have the suit. Hold on. Let me show you." He blinked, averting his attention from Loki to Emalyn before getting up from his seat and walking over to a little stand-like thing that had the suit hanging on it.

It wasn't a full suit. There was no helmet. But just by looking at it, one could tell that it was thin.

Loki walked over to it and felt it. "It is not fully armoured."

"That's where you're wrong, buddy. I used the vibranium to make armour for the vital parts of her body. The rest of the suit is made out of some material -"

"Kevlar. The body of the suit contains kevlar and other high-tensile materials to aid with the protection process. The metal simply acts as armour. It is not necessary. And it would take away from the anonymity of the suit once you are wearing it. But-"

"Okay, JARVIS. That's enough." Tony interrupted, not appreciating the way JARVIS just decided to talk about the suit.

"The armour is just there for extra protection."

"Good. Whatever. How does it work?" Loki asked.

  • [center]

Emalyn's first feeling as she gazed upon the suit was absolute awe. She always forgot that Tony was a genius, especially because he could seem pretty dumb at times. Hearing about the effort made to create it- with a little help from JARVIS- only reinforced her belief in his talents.

"Yeah, how does it work?" She asked, still awestruck by the piece of machinery before her.

  • "Well, see the suit - the clothing part of it - is made of nano fibres and-"

Loki rolled his eyes. "English, please." He was smart. But he didn't understand the technology talk. Not Midgardian's.

"Okay. Well, there's a button on the wrist part of the suit. Just press it and the suit will blend into her skin ... like camouflage." He explained in simpler terms for Loki.

"If you will just change into and I can show you." He removed the armour part of the suit and put it onto a nearby table before taking the suit off of the hanger it was on and then walked over to Emalyn to give it to her. "There's a bathroom over there..." he pointed to a door on the opposite of the room.

OOC: Because of my current lack of imagination and inability to use context clues, this description of the suit is gonna suck and is going to be super, super vague.

IC: Emalyn took the suit, and without hesitation, ran into the bathroom. "Thanks!" She yelled behind her as an afterthought, before shutting the door behind her.

It took her a few minutes to figure out what went where- it was, after all, her first suit- but she found that it wasn't all that heavy. She could easily jump around, and she didn't have any trouble maneuvering. She exited the bathroom after she was nearly ninety percent sure that she had done it correctly.

"Does it look okay?" She asked, slightly self-conscious.

  • •S'all good. I don't think I did a good job describing things on my behalf.•

The two sat there silently waiting on Emalyn's return. And when she entered the room, asking the question, Tony was the first to speak.

"Actually, I think it looks good. Better than I expected. Your butt-"

Loki punched Tony rather hard in the shoulder, knocking him out of the chair. The brunet gripped his arm in pain and let out a groan. "Ow!"

"You look fine, Emalyn." Loki offered her a genuine smile. "Now, how does she use it?" He looked at Tony.

"Give me a moment." He breathed, rolling over onto his shoulder. "I think you dislocated my shoulder." That explained the popping noise that could be heard when he was punched.

  • Emalyn pretended not to notice the punch- she was flattered either way, even if it came from Tony. It did fit well, she had to admit- she didn't notice how her butt looked yet, but one could be sure that she would most definitely check later. "Once you're finished, I think that it would be worthwhile to learn how this works," She repeated Loki's request.

  • "Oh. I'm terribly sorry." Loki helped Tony up and gripped his shoulder. "I will put it back into place."

"no. Loki. I don't think you- ooohhhhhh fuck!" Tony pushed Loki away as soon as his shoulder was back into place. And then, he punched the god. Which seemed to not affect him.

    "You're a bastard, you-"

"Emalyn would like to know how to use the suit."

Tony huffed and rubbed his shoulder before walking over to Emalyn. "There's a thing right here..." he pointed to the back of his neck. "On the back of your suit. You press that and the suit does it's thing. It'll blend in to whatever you're wearing."

"Just don't get hit. 'Cause if you get hit then you'll mess the suit up. It's just a prototype."

This earned the genius a look. "Prototype?"

"Yeah. Prototype. Do you not know what that is? You want me to explain it for you, your highness?"

  • "There's no reason to be rude," Emalyn chided, en if she knew full well that Tony didn't deserve all that Loki had done to him.

The suit was actually extremely intriguing- even if it was a prototype. "So basically-" She stretched her arm to reach the back of her neck. "-I press this thing-" She pressed what felt like a button, and suddenly she was back in her old t-shirt and exercise pants. The suit was still on- she could tell by the slight weight that she still carried- but it felt as if she was in her everyday clothing. "-and then I look like nothing happened."

In her unprofessional opinion, it was really, really cool.

  • Tony smiled, ignoring Loki's weird looks. Looks of unapproval. He didn't see the god pulling any ideas out of thin air. So he couldn't talk. "You look nice. Doesn't she look nice?" He looked over at Loki, who was still looking at him weirdly.

"You know, Laufeyson, the last person who looked at me like that..." he paused and shrugged. "I got laid."

Loki smiled. A fake smile, obviously. "Don't flatter yourself, Stark."

"I don't need to flatter myself. You did that with the look you sent me." He winked at Loki and earned a glare in return.

And at that moment, Loki hadn't wanted to punch the genius more than he did now. "What else can the suit do?"

  • "You know, if you two want to marry each other and leave me in the dust, I fully support you." The image of Tony getting laid was not something that she wanted to imagine.

"But yes, I agree with Loki. What else can the suit do?"

  • "Me, marry him? I'd rather chome him." Loki scoffed.

"I wouldn't mind marrying you, Lokes." The genius joked, knowing that it's upset the god. He found it fun upsetting him. His reactions were priceless.

"And I wouldn't mind killing you."

Tony smirked. "Let's go, Lokes. Show me what you've got."

"I'd be more than happy t-" he was interrupted by Emalyn's statement. And as much as he hated being interrupted, she made a point.

Tony winked at him once more before going to answer her question. "At the moment, that's all it does. Well...aside from offering you protection. Like I said before, It is still a prototype." Actually, he didn't really have any intentions of making it more ... fun. He didn't think it'd last long.

  • Emalyn was thankful that neither of them got to the point of killing one another- either one of them dying would be quite unfortunate in the long run- so she quickly moved on to replying to Tony instead of commenting on their strange hostility.

"It's a really good suit, for a prototype. I hardly notice that it's there. All we asked for was a suit that offered a bit of protection, and here we are." She looked back down at herself, still expecting to see the suit. Yet it still seemed like she was just wearing regular clothes. Amazing.

  • "Well, you know what they say." Tony smiled cockily and crossed his arms over his chest.

"Emalyn, stop. You're just stroking his ego. Just thank him for the suit so we can leave." Loki told the female.

Tony rolled his eyes. "What-ever. She can stro-" before he finish his sentence, he grabbed at his throat as if someone was choking him. His face began to turn as he fell to his knees.

Of course Loki was the culprit. And if the concentrated, angry look he was sending the genius didn't make that obvious, then nothing would.

"Stop." The brunet managed to choke out. He was just about to tell a joke. He knew Loki was a sourpuss. But he didn't think he was this bad.

Luckily, Loki did stop. And after he did, he looked at Emalyn, grabbed her hand and went to pull her out of the lab.

  • "Loki, what are you-" Emalyn was about to do some dramatic life-saving, seeing as, well, Tony was probably going to die if she didn't do something. But before she could even make a move, a hand grabbed hers, pulling out of the lab.

"Thanks, Tony," She muttered under her breath, even if it was genuine. Just because she didn't always agree with the guy didn't mean that she couldn't give credit where credit was due.

Looking up at her husband, who currently looked quite murderous, she asked in the most quietly sinister voice possible, "Loki, What the fuck was that?"

  • "What was what?" Loki asked, letting go of her hand once they were out of the workshop.

He didn't see anything wrong with what he just did. In his mind, he had just kept Stark from saying provocative things to or about Emalyn.

But to everyone else, Loki had just damn near killed Stark for saying something. No one really knew what he was gonna say. He could've been about to say something about ... the weather.

"And do not take that tone with me. I do not appreciate it."

  • "I don't care if you appreciate it," Emalyn snapped at him. "We never, ever choke the people who are helping us. I don't care if it was Tony Stark." She appreciated the reason for why Loki did it- she was actually quite flattered and his quick reaction to shut Tony up was actually sort of hot- but that was no excuse for nearly killing the guy.

She took a deep breath, realizing that she was nearly shouting. She grabbed his hand again, the same one that held hers just a moment before. "I'm sorry for yelling at you like that, but it just... caught me off guard."

  • Loki looked down at her hand and then looked back up at her. He seemed unfazed at her yelling at him. At least on the outside. "Apology accepted." He offered her a slight smile.

"I suppose I am sorry for catching you off guard." He would've apologised, but he couldn't promise to never catch her off guard again. That was just something he didn't have control over.

They had time to kill now. Tony was finished with his part. Now they just needed a better plan. And of course Emalyn could practise her magic more.

    Practise made perfect. But first,

"Wanna go for a walk?" A little fresh air never killed anyone.

  • Apologies were a welcome alternative to yelling. She breathed in and out slowly, listening as Loki asked if she would like to go on a walk.

"Thar would be nice," Emalyn answered simply, glad that the tense atmosphere was beginning to dissipate. Even when villains were on the loose the Avengers were on high alert, one must always remember to take care of themselves.

  • "Very well, then." Before Emalyn could say anything else, Loki teleported them to the middle of the sidewalk. And once they became tangible again and weren't just floating images, a guy walked in to Loki.

"Watch where you're steppin', bub." He snapped before walking around them and continuing on his way.

Loki rolled his eyes and looked around. "Do you have money?" He had been on Earth for how long and still hasn't acquired any Earthly currency?

    What a shame.

Probably because he didn't have a job. And he refused to give his gold to humans - they were greedy.

"I wish to go to that one fast-food establishment we went to last time."

  • "I have something," Emalyn mumbled, checking her pocket. Luckily, she had a twenty dollar bill, so some fast food was actually affordable.

She looked around, trying to piece together exactly where in the city they were. Luckily, they weren't far from the closest McDonald's- it was possibly a block or two away. "Well then, let's get going."
