  • Loki nodded. Thanos was rather annoying. Unfortunately , Loki was pretty weak compared to him. Thanos could probably crush him like a bug. And he was damn near indestructible which was totally over powering.

"Do you know where he is?" He asked her. He doubted that she knew but it didn't hurt to ask. She could try. "I need you to try to remember, Emalyn." He placed his hands on her shoulders and looked her in the eyes. "Remember."

"You're okay?" Steve asked Emalyn, approaching the couple. Thanos was becoming a threat again. He had been under the surface for a while. And now, he was surfacing.

That weapon was the only thing that could possibly do some damage to him. A very powerful weapon in Stark's possession.

  • Emalyn didn't even acknowledge Steve at all- she was too busy trying to remember. "It was important, and I... I don't remember any of it."

All she knew was that Thanos was beyond angry with her. She disobeyed him. That wasn't exactly the best way to be on his favorites list.

She looked back into Loki's eyes- god, she loved his eyes- and she realized that a minute ago, she would have killed him without hesitation if only the word was said.

"I have no idea what it was. All I remember is that he's no less hell-bound to gain power than he was before."

  • "It's okay." Loki told Emalyn, smiling slightly at her. He knew what this was all about - the New York incident. Loki didnt Succeed. He failed. And now Thanos was pissed. And he seemed to be trying to get back at Loki.

    Or so Loki thought.

"Why is he here?" Steve asked, trying to think. "He wants the tesseract. And I understand that it holds so much power. But why the tesseract? Why can't he just-"

"Listen to what you're Saying, Steve! The tesseract holds power. Tons of it. So much it can burn through things. And when combined with the other infinity stones using the infinity gauntlet, the user becomes invincible. Who doesn't want that?"

Steve rolled his eyes at Loki and looked down at Tony. He remembered that he had been trying to collect all of the stones for himself at one point. He was already a powerful man status wise. But he guessed he wanted the power...physically.

And that scared Steve. Someone so close to him would turn on him in a heartbeat for power.

"Lets get you something to drink, shall we?" Loki asked Emalyn, leading her over to the stairs. "And something to eat perhaps." Pause. "How are you feeling?"

  • "Just a little nauseous," Emalyn replied faintly. In the past minute that she'd been herself, she had just been.. well, out of it. "I'll be fine."

She just needed some time, and a little revenge wouldn't hurt, either. "We need to find him. He's preparing to do something, and its something big." Why else would he want the weapon? But now that he couldn't use Emalyn, who would do his dirty work now?

  • "We know." Loki told Emalyn. When was he not planning to do something big?

He led her up to the kitchen and then over to the breakfast bar. "Here. Sit." He pulled out a stool for her and then patted on it so she could sit. "Ill Get you some cold water." He didn't listen to her 'Im okay's. He thought that she'd be okay after she got some water.

So, he walked over to the fridge and pulled out a bottle of water. "Here you go, love." He walked over to her. Loki wasn't angry at her. In fact, he was pretty happy that he had his Emalyn back. And now, they could defeat Thanos together. Or at least try to.

  • Emalyn sat on the stool obediently, still a bit shaken up as she drank some of the bottle of water. She couldn't believe the anger that she had felt towards him just a minute earlier, the impulse to kill him overwhelming. Now, out of the haze of mind control, she tried to recount everything that had happened to her, everything that she had done. She hadn't killed anyone, she was pretty sure. If she had, she would have been more than devastated.

"What now?" She asked her husband, her voice quieter than usual.

  • "we will relax a bit." Loki told Emalyn. "Thanos knows we will be seeking revenge. But he doesn't know when. We lay low for a while and formulate a plan. Then strike when he least expects it." The god explained, sitting next to her. "If we attack now, we will surely lose."

Loki also knew of the power Emalyn had within her. They just needed to work on releasing it. Her power held true potential. And it could be used to eliminate Thanos, he was sure.

"You have these powers. Those will surely be enough to stop him. You just need to figure out how to use them, though." He explained to her.

•hmm. Thought I replied. Thank god for this 'save draft' feature.•

  • "I don't want to use them," Emalyn answered flatly. "I can't control them, and I don't know how they work, and for all we know, that inexperience will be used against us by Thanos if we try to harness them.

She didn't like her powers; sure, they were cool for the first day or two, but after that, there was no upside to having them. They were just there. So far, she was fine without them.

"I'm sure there are other ways for me to contribute without using my powers. I'm smarter than I seem. I can help Tony," Emalyn pointed out. It was a lie- sure, she had taken all advanced subjects and could have very well graduated early if she wanted to, but she was no Tony Stark. She had no affinity for technology or engineering.

  • "I suppose..." Loki agreed, staring at Emalyn. And then, he looked out of the window. Perhaps she could help Stark. She wasn't dumb. And even though Loki hated to admit it, Tony was highly intelligent.

He acted like an idiot at times. But Loki knew he was smart. Everyone knew he was smart. "Very well then. When Tony wakes up, we will go talk to him. In the meantime..." he stood. "I believe that it'd be a grand idea if you took a nap. I will wake you up when Tony wakes up." He offered her a smile.

Loki knew that Tony would be of use. But only to some extent. He, after all, was a mortal. If a god couldn't fight Thanos without failing, then surely a mortal would be no better.

  • "I don't need a-" Emalyn's sentence was interrupted ironically by a yawn. "Well, I guess I could spare a nap." She stood up slowly, hardly walking far before collapsing on the couch a few feet away. She was asleep in an instant. It had been a long day, and there was no such thing as too much sleep when you're trying to stop a power-hungry villain.

  • Loki smiled at her, watching as she walked over to the sofa and fell asleep within seconds.

Sighing, he decided to go see if Tony was okay.

    •would you like to skip?•

  • To when she wakes up. The next morning maybe. And then they can all try to figure out a plan to get to Thanos....

  • Can you start? I was thinking maybe she can wake up earlier than Loki and like start her conversation with Tony. Then he later on joins in.

  • OOC: Coolio.

IC: Emalyn awoke slowly, groaning out loud as she sat up from the couch. She didn't see Loki, which didn't bother her much. She knew that he was here somewhere. She stood up, sore all over. As she stretched her arms and legs, she wandered over to the kitchen to get a glass of water. I wonder who else is around. Probably Tony or Steve.

  • •Merci.•

"It's about time you woke up." Tony said, closing the fridge door and looking at Emalyn as she entered the kitchen. Don't ask how, but he heard her get up.

"Did sleep help nurse your 'mind controlled via magic' headache? If you had one." He cleared his throat. "Whatever. Forget I asked. Want some water? Figured you could use some." He handed her a water bottle.

"And I figured I could talk to you about this whole thing. So, whenever you're ready....I'll be waiting. Maybe you should eat something first." He added.

  • "Sleep helps 'mind control headaches' the same way it does hangovers," Emalyn explained, taking the water bottle from him. She grabbed an apple from the counter and took a bite. "Slowly." She chewed it while speaking, knowing full well that she was being slightly rude.

"So... what do you want to talk about?"

  • "Someone pissed in your bed."

"I do not think that is the right idiom, sir." JARVIS spoke.

"Still works. So, Emalyn, it seems to me as though you need some help." He cleared his throat. "You have a giant purple power hungry titan on your ass. And he won't stop until he gets what he wants. Seems to me like he wants those infinity stones. But who can blame him? Who doesn't want that much power? Of course, with great power comes great responsibility." He shrugged, ignoring the fact that he just sounded like one of those guru people.

"He was using you to try to get to Loki who probably knows where they are. So, maybe, we can use you as bait. He's probably pissed at you 'cause you failed. So, he's gonna want to get to you for revenge. So, we can use you to lure h-"

"We're not using Emalyn as bait." Loki declared, walking down the steps. He knew he looked a mess - he just woke up - which was why he was trying to finger comb his hair.

    "It is too risky."

"Well, I don't see you coming up with any good ideas." Tony pointed out.

  • "I don't see anything wrong with it," Emalyn countered her husband. "The outcome outweighs the risk."

She knew that Loki wouldn't be keen on the idea, but Emalyn knew that they had to defeat Thanos in any way possible. "I can defend myself, if need be."
