    Emalyn turned to him, her eyes resting on his, but aimed just to the left, so no incidents. "I would like you to go in and help me explain. And if all else fails, we have the Bifrost."

    IC: "Yes ma'am." He jokes as he waits for her to lead the way.

    Emalyn entered her house, not needing to knock. "Mom? Da-" She was cut off by her german shepard, Tiare, whom had just gotten back from the park, judging by her smell. Her mom came downstairs. "Emalyn! You've been gone three hours, and Tiare still misses you."

    IC: Loki looked at the dog and then Emalyn's mother. "I apologise if I have brought her back too late."

    Mrs. Ashbury smiled. "No, right on time. Early, even." Emalyn looked up at Loki, giving him the 'please-explain-now-or-I'll-do-it-for-you-and-if-I-do-you-won't-sound too-good-in-it-mister' look. (I like doing those because it explains so much in just an action.)

    IC: He smiled. "She did decent on the test. A few flaws. But she did good." He winked at Emalyn.

    Emalyn's eyes widened. She made a hand gesture, the kind where you pretend to cut off your head. Mrs. Ashbury looked at Emalyn, surprised. "Emalyn? You do so well in school. I wonder how you could make a flaw." Emalyn patted her mom's shoulder nervously. "It was the kind that wasn't that much of a grade." Mrs. Ashbury nodded hesitantly, than turned to Loki, smiling. "Will that be all?"

    IC Loki nodded and then smiled at Emalyn. "That is all.":

    Emalyn heads up to her room, a bit agitated by something. She didn't know what it was, but she assumed it was important, so she went over her notes at least a billion times, just in case it was her science test the next day. It didn't help. What also didn't help was the tap tapping of the wind on her window. How nice. A weird day ends the way it began- normal and boring.

    IC: "Heimdal, can you open the Bifröst?" He asked as he looked up. The lights surrounded him as he disappeared.

    *time skip to morning*


    Emalyn had been up for hours. Magic was a strange thing- it could transfix you, protect you, and even entertain you. That's what she had been doing. Playing around with colorful, translucent min-figures, making them dance around her room without moving a finger. But, an hour later, she was waiting for the bus. She couldn't believe that just twelve hours before, she had been in Asgard. Twelve minutes until the bus came.

    IC: Loki paced around his chambers. He had been up since 3 in the morning. He couldn't sleep.

    Emalyn's hands searched her pockets. Glasses... glasses... She found them, and reluctantly put them on. The bus rounded the corner, and Emalyn got on. The bus was the last thing to empty. Emalyn took the very front seat, the least popular seat. A few more months, and I'll be driving to school. She relished the thought, almost worshipped it. But, of course, she'd probably chicken out and just not drive. The bus arrived at her high school, and she suffered through four periods before... "Free period!" And with that, Emalyn sat out on the curb, where she usually did for free period, and read her book. But she had forgotten to take her glasses off. Fatal mistake. "Hey! Ashbury! You should read inside like a human being!" It was TPHY again. Totally Popular Hell-bound You-know-what's. That's what Emalyn called them, only in her head of course. As the group of six made their way to her, she kept her eyes in her book. "Hi, guys," She grinned at them, but didn't take her eyes off of her book. "Aren't you going to look at us, Ashbury? It's awfully rude to ignore people." They kicked her book away from her, and she looked up in shock. They started to laugh. The apparent leader, a tall redhead, "You pretend not to be a geek, Emalyn. But, unfortunately, the 'too cool for glasses' thing just doesn't work for you. So suck it up and deal with your inner geek. Or nerd. Whatever." Emalyn looked at them, giving them every submissive sign she could think of. Look small. Don't look them in the eyes. Look like a waste of their time. It worked. They turned away. All except for a slightly chubby blonde girl, looking like she was new to the group, trying to do something to raise her higher in the rankings. She walked up to Emalyn, and sneered, "See you in fifth, Ashbury." She raised her fist. A pain in Emalyn's face. All she saw were stars. She waited for a few seconds, to readjust herself. But she heard screams. Not her own. The girl's. Emalyn's thoughts were small, simple, and easy things to understand. Stand up. Open your eyes. Good, now look at what is making the girl scream. When she opened the protective lids over her eyes, she saw three wolves, tearing at the girl's flesh. Each was translucent. Each was a dark, deep purple. Emalyn put her hands over her mouth, but winced as she touched it. A deep pain in her cheek spread to the rest of her face where the girl had punched her. Blood, but not much. Emalyn shouted, "Stop!" At the wolves, and instantly, they stopped, evaporating. Emalyn stood bleary-eyed at the scene, before a bloody, shivering, unconscious girl. Did I do that?

    IC: Loki decided to watch Emalyn from his room. "Impressive." He says as he watched her fight off the girl. "And with magic! I've taught her well." Not that he really taught her anything.

    Emalyn said nothing, but looked at him like he was the devil. "You. Big. Buttface." She meant to say something more rude, but she didn't think it suited her personality.

    IC: He smiled. "You called for my help." He opened his arms. " you've got it.
