Sometimes things just don't work out. Maybe you've always wanted a super power. They're more of a burden than you may think.

Welcome, failed experiments. You thought you would have your childhood dream fulfilled, maybe, or that you could save the world. Silly. It isn't that simple, my dear. Maybe you are telepathic. You are also insane, all the thoughts of all those people trapped in your head. Maybe you can control weather. Who says lightning can't hurt you?

Plot;;
These people were taken from their homes. Parents dead, no relatives willing to take them in, they were gladly adopted by Doctor Richard Howell, scientist who illegally experiments on people. He had developed an injection, to get people to have superpowers. Real life superheroes, and these 12 kids would be the first. Imagine that, your parents just died, and this man adopted you and offered you what would most likely be fame and fortune. And you accepted it, you regretted it. You were the first, and no one knew what to expect. So when you got perfectly fine, working superpowers, you were so happy, until one person set themselves on fire from their hands, one person went borderline insane when they were forced to listen to everyone's thoughts constantly, and one struck themselves with lightning. It was chaos, and the scientist abandoned you. They got other test subjects. You were now no longer superman or -woman. You were a failed experiment.

Rules;;
1. No characters with drawbacks that don't outweigh your powers. You have to make it so the drawback makes the power bad, not that it simply limits it, like "they can only be animals they touch". That doesn't make them not use their power.
2. Have a scientific explanation. No powers for no reason.
4. If you got this far, say your character is a fail.
5. Actually, say your character with someday master their power. Ignore number four.
6. Don't fight in OOC, guys. Take it to PM.
7. If the person your character is currently interacting with hasn't responded for a while, move on to a different character to interact with. On the other hand, if someone does this to you, don't blame them.
8. On that subject, post at least once every week. We can't have a bunch of inactive people.
9. If you sign up, and you don't post on the RP thread within a week, your character is going up for adoption.
10. Make two characters if you can play both boys and girls well. If not, you only need one.
11. Please, be semi-advanced! At least three sentences per post unless you're bumping to wait for someone to react, or your character is sleeping.
12. If there are any heated moments, please don't roleplay them here!

Setting;;
These failed experiments of course could not go out in public, as most couldn't control their powers and some could start killing innocent people. Thus, they found themselves wandering through the wilderness, not knowing where they are or where they're going. The place they're in is a large temperate forest, with mixed kinds of tree (pine and leafy) and many brooks running through it. At some points it's marshy, and at some points it's rocky, depending on the closeness to the mountain range that blocks them from civilization. They have found an abandoned cabin with canned food, bedding, and lots of space. The area around it is a clearing, with a cliff side that touches the sky way above the cabin on one side and forest on the other. The cliff can be used for rock climbing, if you want a challenge. There are traps set around the forest, but not too many, just in case they run out of food.

Inside the cabin is a main room, that is both a dining room and a kitchen. It has a large table with six chairs, an oven, a mini-fridge, and a lot of cabinets. There is a sink connected to a well outside. In fact, all the water is connected to the well, so they usually have plumbing unless it freezes up. There are four bedrooms, three on the upper floor and one on the bottom. The bathroom is on the upper floor, and there is only one. Here is the bedroom arrangements:

"It's hard to explain...."
Dominic is sharp-tongued and short-tempered, but has a sense of humor and is determined.

Dominic is quick to anger. He isn't patient, and usually the atmosphere of the room is enough to set him off. He gets frustrated easily, and doesn't laugh an insult off. He will lash out at the first sign of anger, and that often happens because of his power. He will get angry with people who act stupid, and is easy to set off. He also is hard to stop once he gets mad.

This does not mean that he just yells at people without any ground gained on his part. He fights hard with insults. He will find any weakness with his mind and turn it into a comment, and often seems to be calm while doing this. He is sharp-tongued, and fierce with his words. He also uses his ability to quickly come up with cruel comments to manipulate people and make them do what he says.

He does have a sense of sarcasm. In fact, he'll use sarcasm a lot. He seems to enjoy humor a lot, and likes to just laugh things off, even though it might be hard for him. He uses his humor in conversations, and can goof off just like the rest of us, but is quick to get serious.

Dominic will never give up. He is determined and he will not stop until he gets what he wants. When he gets angry, he can hold a grudge for a long time and won't give it up until the other person admits that they were wrong. He also is determined in a good way, and will work on a project until the end. If it seems hopeless, he'll still try to finish it, no matter what.

History;;

When he was a child, his father died. His mother was already dead, from giving birth to him, and his father got killed in a car accident. Dominic was recovering in the hospital, when a man found him, and implanted a chip in his head to allow him to read brainwaves. When his relatives met him next, he was hearing their thoughts, about how he was a little brat and no one wanted him. And he broke the first rule of telepathy, he answered to their thoughts. Once he was successfully taken to an orphanage by his relatives, he avoided people, preferring to be on his own. Soon, the man from the hospital came and took him to the lab, doing tests on him until he realized the experiment had failed.

Story was born to a teenage mother. She was an only child and her mother was hateful towards her. When she was ten her mother took her to a park to let her play,but she lost sight of her mother and never saw her again. After two years of living on the streets the authorities had gotten word that a child was living on the streets and they took her to the orphanage. Another year past before she was adopted by the scientist,and it went from bad to worst from there.

History;; Before her parents ''moved' and siblings 'left', Brandy lived in a medium sized home with a good mom and dad. But then there was school. Brandy had been kicked out of almost every school she'd gone to. She was branded as a trouble maker at the school, which she was and was also bullied by the bigger kids.. The teachers complained constantly and one summer she was a at a "troubled teens" camp. When she thought it couldn't get worse, her parents had a big fight. They both screamed at each other. Brandy couldn't take seeing her parents this way. The two parents got divorced three months later. Sadly it was during finals week at school. She almost failed all her finals. That night she received an email from a strange organization. They offered her to be a test subject for a "safe" experiment. Having nothing else to do, she agreed. Biggest. Mistake. Ever. She woke up to find her little sister and brother missing and her mom nowhere in the house. The kitchen was torn through and most of they're stuff was missing. Before the foster people could get ahold of her, Brandy left home and was out and about for around a week before a truck from the organization that emailed her drove up. They knew her name and told her they sent the email. She went with them to the lab. They experimented on her until they were ready to test the Storm control. The test went horribly wrong. She accidentally killed five scientists and blew up the lab they tested her in. She grouped up with the other experiments and here they are.

Power;;She can control weather and storms

Disadvantage;; When in a normal mood she can only do small things. When in a normal mood and she tries to do a big thing like move the clouds then she faints. Her powers spike when she has extreme emotions.

Science behind it;; The molecules in the formula were fused with weather molecules and a strange chemical called C2MX5. After it mixed with her blood stream. They shocked her with manmade lightning. She gave an outburst of power. This power is her Storm controling.
