Snap! Snap! Harliquine waved her tail with delight as she was acting like a kit again, snapping at the night fireflies. The wind blew slightly as she jumped into the air, with almost ease. She finally jumped up, and caught one in her mouth, and smiled. Ewwww! Bleh bleh! Disgusting! I thought they would taste different. Ew! At least I didn't bite into it...
Harliquine shook her fur and shivered at that awful taste after she spit the firefly out. She looked up, her violet eyes sparkled as she saw more of these floating into the sky, and then, without thought, she jumped upwards.
The wind going up was fun, but once she reached the fireflies, the air was just a little colder. They weren't that very high above the ground, though. Harliquine smiled and then flicked her tail. Again, without any signs, she dashed off at a great speed, slightly going higher and higher up into the tree.
The night sky was beautiful, with many stars, the moon, and the fireflies. Harli looked down, and chuckled to herself, "The fireflies from all the way up here, almost looks like fire stars! Lightning bugs, fireflies. Hm... Fireflies is better. Well, unless I see one during the storm."
She started to climb a little faster, then started going towards the ground, almost as if she was sliding down a hill, it looked like she was climbing down in a half circle almost.
Harli gracefully landed on a rock, and once again shook her fur. It was a little chilly tonight, but that's not the main reason it was cold where Harli was perched on top of the rock. A cave. It was dark inside, with only a few fireflies in there to support light.
There were soft, light, drops of water in there. It seemed even colder inside. Harli cocked her head slightly to the side in confusion. "I wonder what's in there," she said to herself. After that, she shook her head and then curled up on the rock. She wasn't tired, she was just thinking. Staring into the dark cave.
In her own little world.
