Temperance-Kota-White

The air was humid around her, her body turning slick against the stone beneath her. Her hair was plastered across her forehead, yet she didn't have the strength to move. The body that felt like hers, yet she wasn't completely sure was hers, was sluggish. Her actions were preformed too slowly to be normal- almost as if she was intoxicated within the heat of the room. What happened? The thoughts ate away at her as she attempted to move, only her hands tensing slightly. Where am I? A headache suddenly pierced her skull as she tried to think back to the times before humidity was upon her, yet nothing was functioning. Her mouth felt like it was within the middle of a harsh drought, her throat constricting as she attempted to swallow the small amount of saliva that seemed to sprout in her demise.

Her eyelids suddenly opened in a fury of pain and light. Her fists clenched by her sides, her head tilting as she tried to avoid the dim light that was shining through the bars that were somehow on the windows. Her eyebrows furrowed together in concentration, not even fully noticing the other bodies lying around her as limp as she felt until her hand hit another. Her eyes snapped toward them in haste, her body aching at the movement, protesting against every single thing that she happened to do. Her dry tongue darted out to wet her lips, yet they only met the chapped shapes of flesh that she was forced to call lips. She glanced at the others in confusion before staring at the hands that were once bare. They were covered in a layer of fabric that seemed to have small pores to breath from. They weren't coming off. They shielded her power from the rest of the world, yet the only question that entered her mind was; How do they know my power?

"H-help?"Her plea came out in a rough whisper that seemed to bounce across the emptiness of the bland room with the bodies lying within it. The only thing that she wanted was to know what was happening, and the only way she would be able to do that was to wake the others. Yet who was to say they were already dead?

Ooc- I made a longer than necessary post to start us out on. You all don't have to follow mine in an extreme matter, but be sure to have at least one detailed paragraph which is around 5+ complex sentences, please. Thanks! c: I'm so excited!

IC: Jake was lying on his side, his sides heaving and falling slowly. He was unconscious, and even worse, his breathing was laboring since the air was so heated in the space, though he wasn't waking up yet. Jake finally twitched and awoke, his olive green colored eyes blinking the sleep away slowly and his hand running through his slightly thick dark brown swept hair. Ugh....what...where... Jake drowsily thought, sitting up and looking around at the other teenagers around him. Why were they here? "Anyone awake?" He said in his oddly deep voice, not knowing that another girl had already spoken on the other side of him.

Clark lay on her back, arms sprawled out by both sides of her face. She inhaled sharply before her eyes shot open. Quickly, she shot up and gave a hoarse cough, trying to catch her breath. As her eyes slowly adjusted to the light, Clark saw others. Her aching head was racing with questions, some that would probably never be answered. A few stray, chocolate brown hairs stuck to her neck. Clark reached down to were her hair was, but then stopped; someone had cut it short. Now she was just plain pissed."Wha-?"She mumbled under her breath.

Pushing that fact aside as best she could, Clark attempted to stand. Her legs felt weak as if she had ran a ways, and fast at that. Her memory was gone, where she was, how she got there, but one thing did stay; the act of killing her father right before. Clark's hands were shaky as she reached down to her leg where a shard of a thrown plate burrowed into her skin. It was still sore, but it stopped bleeding at least.

Clark sniffled and looked around, trying to figure out if the others were dead or alive.

OOC "Ello people, and if I forget the colors, please don't kill me... I'm forgetful... probably why i have fps, dunno what my charries look like ;3

Jacob forced his eyes open, rubbing the eye snot from his eyes. I rather unpleasant thing to think about, really. "Hello?" He said tentatively, in the almost unnoticeable way of one who's second language is English, and they still must ponder upon their grammar, because that is definitely what people do in the modern age. Ponder upon grammar that is.

Alex groaned as he came too, around the same time as a strangely familiar girl. Not familiar, one that he knew almost like family. "Min?" He whispered, noting the others around him too. Though none of them were even vaguely familiar. "Idiot." The Minerva said back, hiding her confusion under her rudeness.

Foxe had awoken around 10 seconds before the other girl whom had asked for help. She herself was brimming with fear, confusion and anger, though she remained rather relaxed, under the rather odd circumstances.

OOC: Oh, and how's life? :3

  • Harper sat up feeling a bit dizzy. "What happened...?" She groaned, seeing the other teens with widening eyes. "Wha?! Where's my Xbox?! My beanbag chair?!" Harper looked around in disbelief, seeing nothing but white walls and people she didn't know. Her worst nightmare.

    //rushed, terribly sorry!

  • Azuma sat in the corner of the room, watching as each of them awoke. She'd been awake for longer than the others- about twenty minutes. She flinched as each of them moved, then down once again. She felt relieved that she wasn't in a room full of corpses. Standing up weakly, her legs trembling, Azuma gazed upon the others, her palm against the wall for support. "Does anyone know where we are?" she asked. It ended up as more of a hoarse whisper, and she swallowed her saliva. Then, in a louder, more confident voice, she repeated "Do any of you know where we are?'

  • He was running. Sprinting. Going faster than he's ever gone before, faster than he's ever thought was possible. All he knew was that he had to keep going. He couldn't stop. The bloodcurdling screams from the broken bodies behind him crawled up his spine. No... he couldn't stop. Not even for the pain. The pain was searing. Looking down at his hands in horror, he watched helplessly as the skin on his palms began to peel before him. Thick, black tar bubbled up from below it, and he knew that nothing-not even running- could stop it from coming. All of a sudden he felt his body collapse. There was blackness. The screams faded away, and a high pitched ringing took their place. Everything suddenly turned white... a hazey white... the brightness of the room enveloping him...

Aaron Slader woke with a start. His typically lifeless eyes snapped open with fear flashing behind them. A gasp escaped his lips, but no less than a second after waking, was his alerted gaze darting around the area that confined him.

Where was he? Who were these people? There are people here... These aren't his clothes... What was-... As he took everything in, Aaron's gaze soon fell to his own two wrists, both bound individually in tight metal bracelets. He scrambled backwards in shock-stricken terror, as if it would help him get away from what was securely stuck to him. He clawed at and struggled with one of the metal rings for a good minute before finally accepting failure. They weren't coming off.

Enraged with himself and his predicament, Aaron scrambled up to his feet and threw himself at the nearest wall. Slamming his palm on the cool metal surface, he concentrated on manipulating the material. He felt his skin begin to tingle as it change into whatever sort of metal the walls were made of. Suddenly a violent shock erupted between him and the surface, thrusting Aaron backwards. Doubling over himself with pain and eyes flaring with anger, the teenager dropped an f-bomb loud enough to wake the nation- or at least loud enough to wake everyone else in the room.

((the metal braces are kind of specific to Aaron's power. When his hand turns to metal and touches the metal of the room, the wall sends an electric shock through him. Fun stuff :D))

[sub]in a corner, glowing eyes, once a light stormy grey now dark and boiling with anger like a beast waiting to come out. which just so happened to be true. she knew that of she moved or was even given the slightest plausible reason to lash out she would. the animal inside her was pushing, growling, snarling, and snapping. it wanted out. it wanted to kill whomever put the person in which it lived in harmony with inside this unknown place. one would think from only this little bit of information that the girl in question was a werewolf. well not quite anyway. being a weirder of mythic physiology, you could be in fact a werewolf. she had initially thought that the spirit of the wolf wouldn't reside with her like that of a normal werewolf. and no, she did not turn into a humanoid animal. that was a lycan. no she was more of a wolf that was larger than a polar bear. well usually they were much larger, going to the size of clysedales sometimes to become the largest. but ironically, amaris was the smallest. which fit the bill since when she wasn't some other mythical beast she was actually rather small. and underestimated. in the past, she was urged by the beast inside her, who she gave the choice to name herself instead of being referred to as "the beast" and chose kaliska, to take defensive lessons. it was a wise decision and she found herself taking comfort in her for kaliska was rather wise. but boy did she have a temper. she was a wolf after all. and wolves were pure instinct. so her "wisdom" was actually what she felt was right and told amaris in return to do. but her instincts sometimes wasn't up for the listening to. like right now. she wanted to be set free, take control, and kill the first captor she could. or just simply end up killing everyone. and even though amaris could probably care less about the people who weren't even known to her. but however, she wasn't just going to let kaliska kill them in a fit of rage. not only was it immoral but downright crazy. and weird. and a whole lot of others things that she couldn't bare to list. so now she sat in a corner, summoning all of the mental strength she had to keep the wolf at bay. even if Kaliska didn't kill them, the wolf would probably do something not so good. the possibilities were endless. and amaris considered herself lucky that if she even could, she would be able to at least offer the wolf some rational advice while she was in control. she usually never was when in the form of the werewolf. the only form she was quite familiar with. she hadn't even practiced with any other mythical creature but guessed that her strength would be rather good since the werewolf was rather a strong creature.

(I had forgot to mention the whole wolf thing. doesn't really do much, like a friend inside her head. but also adds one bit of a disadvantage ^^)

Clark pushed a strand of, now shorter, hair behind her ear. When someone asked a question, she thought of a sarcastic answer, but kept it to herself. No need to annoy people she'd just met in a strange place. Clark limped over to a wall to lean on, her leg began to throb now, and standing made it worse. She gritted her teeth when she accidentally knocked her wounded leg into the wall. That smarts. she thought.

"Is everyone alright?" she said to the ones coming to. If they were going to figure a way out of here, everyone had to be willing and able. Already Clark's mind began racing through strategies and plans. After a while, the throbbing pain in both her head and leg became almost unbearable and she began to limp towards a barred window.

    OOC: Whoop :3

    IC:
Minerva shook her head, "Alex, you have healing powers, and i have other powers, and since I'm so clever, I'm assuming they have powers too," She said in that prideful clever voice of hers. Alex merely rolled his eyes, talk about pointing out the obvious. The redhead in the corner just hummed in response, "Healing yeah? Fun." His eyes darkened at that, and his fists clenched, clearly unhappy with her statement.

Jacob stood unsteadily, unwittingly creating a cookie on the ground. Not just any cookie, but a fake illusion-y cookie. The kind that makes you hate him for taunting you with the fake cookie. Then the cookie disappeared, adding insult to injury, as far as Alex at least. "Well, this is interesting," He muttered under his breath.

Minerva stood up, "Anywho, since my theory is clearly correct, spit it out people," by that she meant spit out what your power was not spitting out pheglm.

  • "Most of us are fine, except for the ones that aren't waking up. The window's got some kind of field on it that won't allow it to be destroyed. Prepare to have your hand burned if you try it." Azuma replied to a teenage girl with short, brown hair. She stared down at her own palm, which had painful scorch-marks covering it. She dropped her arm down to her side and took a look at the others.
Two of the girls looked like twins- the one that was moving towards the window and the one in the opposite corner with dark eyes, except one had longer hair than the other. Then there was a kid trying to break out of his chains, another girl saying something about a beanbag chair, and a few others. She couldn't see all their faces in the dim light, but she knew they were all about her age. Do they have powers, too? she wondered, frowning thoughtfully. She put her head in her hands, peeking above her sleeves, and rested quietly. Why am I so exhausted? she thought to herself, scowling with annoyance. And why can't I use my power?

  • Occ: Wait-- Jake and Jacob o.o
Whatever, Jake will just be his actual name.

    ------

Jake growled, "Why are we being kept in here?!" This was unfair, and nobody even came in to give an explanation whatsoever. He focused hard, his hazel eyes flaring in rage, and let both his hands ablaze. Jake grunted as he threw fireballs against the wall but the walls didn't burn down. Jake started to get aggravated, and he stopped, the flames still scorching his hands however.

Harper glanced over at the kid beside her. He was making what looked like a....cookie? Or raisin bread. "You have the power to make cookie--" Then it disappeared. "Oh, you're going to be real fun." She muttered, but she didn't mean it in a harsh way. Just in a 'oh-no-this-guy's-gonna-taunt-everybody-noooo' way. If that way even existed, that is.

  • ○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○

Taking the girl's comment into consideration, she stood a bit back from the actual window itself. She stood, as best she could, with her her feet even with her shoulders. If she couldn't touch it, she'd just move it. All her focus and energy went flying into the bars, attempting to bend and manipulate. By the amount of time it would have taken to bend them, her head began to have a now stabbing and twisting pain.

Clark winced and fell to her knees, clutching her head, which now had a loud ringing in it. "Sh-t," she mumbled.

  • Azuma raised her eyebrow and gave her an I-told-you-so look. She set her legs apart and leaned back lazily, trying to think of a way to escape. All of a sudden, something occurred to her. The way that girl handled the situation with the window... "Do you all have powers?" she asked. "Perhaps there is a way to escape..." she murmured. The windows are impossible to break, the chains holding some of our hands are also unbreakable... but what about the wall? Additionally, only some of them had chains on their hands. That must mean that if they had powers, the powers varied. Obviously, that boy had some kind of power that he needed his hands for. Maybe that was why they chained them down.

    OOC: Sorry Beatles o.O

    IC:
Jacob coughed guiltily at that, "Illusions," He muttered under his breath, "not that good at controlling it." As if to prove his point, a parakeet spontaneously appeared. The redhead was staring at him wither with amusement, or annoyance. The parakeet promptly exploded into feathers and disappeared. He flinched from the fire, hoping the guy didn't turn on his and turn him into a human sushi.

Minerva was playing around with her power, mostly just making it look like she could make black mist that, by the way, is awesome. It made the air cooler too, since it was rather warm from the fire throwing and all that minor stuff. Alex just sat in his corner, frowning like the sulky kid he was. "Alex, relax, if anyone tries to kill us, we can always use them as human shields," she stated charismatically(typo). His lips twitched at that, then frowned again in concern as she held her head in pain.

The voices, they won't go away, Minerva cried mentally. Even in this place, they were still there, talking, talking. Words of wisdom, words of hate, all jumbled in her head. She couldn't stand it anymore.

[sub](meh. I don't really see a resemblance in the twin like factor. clark's face is much broader than amaris' and her eyes are brown while amaris has usually light stormy grey eyes. then there's the size and skin tone)

an involuntary snort erupted from her.lips as she heard the crude demand from the girl who she already deemed arrogant and possibly the most annoying thing she would have to deal with. it didn't take a smart person to figure out that everyone had powers. amaris already made that connection way before. and it was nothing to brag about. and having already observed everyone for quite an amount of time, she guessed that she would have to avoid minerva quite a bit. for the girl's own sake really. just as she had made the unimportant demand for everyone to tell her their powers, kaliska immediately hated her. the wolf hated anyone with a not so favorable attitude. actually wanted to kill her, which was most likely everybody at the moment. amaris only rolled her eyes. her eyes were a thundering storm, giving a fair warning of the turmoil underneath the surface. it didn't help that she was hungry. kaliska was also so snappy when she hadn't eaten. the only thing that they didn't share was their own thoughts. but their bodies were think. if amaris felt pain, kaliska felt it too. she could fell he emotions, and obviously react off of it. two souls and one body. or two technically. a sigh escaped her lips she only thought as much when in these situations. amaris was no extrovert. and she didn't like being around all these people. she didn't trust them. but then again, she barely trusted anyone.
