[font=perpetua][color=black]Toxin's head was tilted back, her starry pelt reflecting the sunlight above. It was days like these that often left her in a calm, resigned mood, but she always knew her frenemy Annihilation was never too far from her.

Just as the she-kit suspected, the red-furred tom lingered the shadows nearby, his eyes glowing a deep crimson as he watched her every move play out before him. They used to fight in the stars vs shadows battle, but they knew the war had just begun.

Rayn crawled through the bushes, her new Panselier friend Violet beside her. They loved to crawl through the foliage and undergrowth, but really they were just looking for their other friends.

Renegade hovered over a fallen tree, her amber/ golden optics flitting around her. The mew apprentice knew that her friends were nearby, but she also felt other presences.

Pisces and Galaxy walked side by side through the forest, leaving a trail of stars as they walked. The two weren't related, but they acted as if they were siblings. The two turned their heads at the sound of rustling beside them.

Music padded out of the bush next to Galacy and Pisces, joining them. She padded next to Galaxy, her tail swishing.

Molly scrambled down a tree in front of the three kits, landing neatly on her paws. She waved her tail in greeting and padded in step with Pisces.

Corbett and Gemma heard pawsteps coming from the hedge-like undergrowth next to them. The two half-siblings went to check it out, waving their tails excitedly as the four kits passed. The two quickly caught up and padded next to Molly.

It was time for some adventure!

[font=perpetua][color=black]The red-furred tom jumped out of the shadows with a yowl, scaring the young star-kit and tackling her to the ground. "Wow, are you serious? You totally saw that coming!" Annihilation snickered, wincing as Toxin hit him on the cheek. "You idiot, get off of me!"
The young tom laughed before he was kicked away, then beamed over to the trees where Violet and Rayn stepped into the clearing, holding each other's stares for a moment before they greeted each other. The last to arrive was Renegade, who seemed a bit more stressed out than usual. "What's wrong?" Asked Rayn, nudging her friend's shoulder lightly with her nose. "It's nothing, I just feel like someone- or something- else is near." The mew apprentice cooed, before looking to her slightly worried friends.
"I don't mean to scare you, but I think a clan may be near, or a large band of rogues."
"We need to be careful not up then." Interrupted Annihilation, who let off a devious smirk. "We will make peace." Replied Toxin, who received a low growl from the shadow tom.

Galaxy's fur pricked and his ears twitched. "Hey, did anyone hear that?"
Pisces turned to glance at her friend curiously. "Hear what?"
"Voices." He responded somewhat quietly. "They sound very close."
Corbett scented the air and nodded. "There's different cat scents in the air."
Gemma's hackles raised and she growled. "I hope they aren't hostile, or else I'll give them something to be hostile about."
Music gave a stern look at Gemma. "Whoever it is, I'm sure they mean no harm."
Molly broke away from the group, heading for the scent. "While you all sit here and talk about it, I'm gonna go find out who's there."
Music chased after her friend. "Not by yourself."
Galaxy raced next to her as well. "Yeah! We're all coming."
With that, all of them began to follow Molly towards the scent and the voices, their hackles raised in suspicion and wariness.

[font=perpetua][color=black]Renegade's head snapped up, her psychic powers telling her that someone was coming, though she couldn't quite point where. "Guys, they're getting closer." Violet mewed in a hushed voice, lowering herself in a bush. Sometimes it felt like the Panselier knew her too well. The kittens and the apprentice prepared themselves, though they knew they could never overcome older felines.

Molly led the others into the clearing where the other kits were hiding. She scented the air, padding around. "The scents come from here."
Galaxy raised a brow quizzically as he began to follow a scent. "Perhaps they just left."
Gemma narrowed her eyes. "Or they're still here, awaiting to ambush us from the shadows."
Music chuckled as if that was a joke. "Oh, come on. Who would want to ambush a bunch of kits?"
"Maybe these cats are kits." Pisces chimed in suspiciously. All of the kits sniffed around, searching for any other sign of them.

Toxin flattened her ears, already knowing something was about to happen, but before she could step out, Annihilation inched his way along a tree branch above them, laying down to appear almost relaxed as he gleamed, sharp, thorn-like teeth glinting. "Well, as if we didn't have enough of them around." He beamed at Pisces and Galaxy, his tail tip flicking irritably.
Toxin made her way out from the other side, an apologetic smile on her face. "Please just ignore him, he has a social problem."
"I do not, you worthless she-kit." Annihilation scowled, climbing down. Renegade, Rayn, and Violet followed close behind, casting the strangers weary glances as they protected their friends.

Galaxy and Pisces pressed against each other for protection as the dark forest kit glared down at them. Gemma rushed over and gave a warning growl, her hackles still raised. Corbett padded quickly over and laid a tail on his half sister's shoulder. "Don't appear hostile." He whispered to her.
Music moved closer to Molly. Molly stood tall, prepared to speak for everyone. "It's fine. My friend Gemma over there has social problems too." That remark earned a defiant growl from the gem she-kit. "But his infatuation with my two star friends is a little odd." The two star kits moved closer to the group.

"After all, his parents were killed by Star Cats, so it's only fair he has a hatred for most of them. The only one he really tolerates is me, but only because he was younger and I was the only one who helped him hide." Toxin added quietly, so that only they could hear.
"Anyways, I'm Toxin, this is Annihilation," The star kit dipped her head toward the shadow tom. "Renegade," Her tail flicked to the mew. "Rayn," She gave a glance and a smile to the rainbow kitten. "And Violet, our newest friend." The Panselier dipped her head shyly, letting off a cool smile.

Molly cleared her throat, not wanting to comment on the reason why Annihilation hates stars. Upsetting him would not be beneficial. "Well, my name is Molly and as you can see, I'm very outspoken. I became friends with them not too long ago. The two star cats over here," she pointed to the two with her tail. "are Galaxy and Pisces. Galaxy is always the black one with a lot of stars and Pisces is always the dark blue one." She paused and looked over to Corbett and Gemma. "These two are half siblings, Corbett and Gemma." She leaned in and whispered. "Gemma is a bit...hard to get along with sometimes, so I apologize for her in advance." Her voice returned to her normal level and she smiled over at Music. "This is Music, and she is the most reasonable kit you'll ever meet."

She was always interested in other Easter Kits, because she loved colors.

"Thank you." Music responded shyly. "Both of our pelts are sort of similar in a way. They both look like spring."
Galaxy took a glance at Toxin. "Your pelt is extremely similar to mind, in star amount."
Gemma snorted and padded away from the group, sitting near the back. Corbett flashed an apologetic glance as he followed her. He began to speak to her quietly.
Molly took the first step towards the kits, heading for Violet. "You've got a very nice pelt. It's a few shades darker than mine."
Pisces stared awkwardly around until her eyes settled up to Annihilation again. She hadn't really seen a dark forest kit before. She had never participated in the battle.

"They do seem pretty alike." Toxin mewed in response, glancing at her pelt and then at Galaxy's.
"I think yours is very pretty." Replied the shier Panselier, a small smile on her face.
"What are you looking at?" Beamed the tom as he locked gazes with the star kit, his ears slightly lowered back. He may have come off a bit rude, but that was just how the shadow was.
Renegade peered over to where Gemma and Corbett wandered to, but didn't say anything as she relaxed with the rest of the group, still hovering over the ground.

Pisces shrank down at the tom's tone. "Uh, nothing." Her gaze locked back down towards the ground.
Music chuckled some. "Definitely. I saw one that looked exactly like you. Are you sure you didn't come out of an egg?"
Molly beamed at the compliment. "Thanks. But darker fur hides dirt. Mine is the lightest I've ever seen, and it's a pain to keep tidy sometimes."
Galaxy smirked. "We look like we could be siblings, even if we aren't."
Gemma glared at her friends. "How could they take so nicely to them already? We don't even know who they are."
"Well if you took the time to find out, you wouldn't have to complain." Corbett said bluntly.

"Yeah, we're like twins." Toxin smiled in return, her tail raised in a sort of happiness.
"Lighter fur hides best in the trees during the day, and in the bushes." Violet pointed out, her bluish eyes flitting around them subconsciously.
"Maybe I did come out of an egg." Rayn snickered, her tail lashing. "I think I seen one that looked like you two. Maybe that's where all kits come from."
Annihilation huffed, his crimson eyes narrowed a bit. "I thought star kits couldn't lie." The tom retorted.

Gemma heard the telepathic message and she jumped up. She had never know a kit who could do that. "Did you hear that?" She asked Corbett.
Corbett nodded. "Yeah, I think it's the new kit over there."
Galaxy chuckled. "Come over and meet Pisces."
"Yeah but at night it leaves me at a slight disadvantage." Molly said with a smile.
Pisces looked back up at the kit. "I suppose we aren't. But I don't see how you could mind lying."
Music laughed. "Yeah! Maybe we all come out of eggs that look like us."

Toxin nodded and glanced over to the other star kit, slightly narrowing her eyes as she noticed that Annihilation was talking to her.
"I'm sorry if I startled you." Renegade apologized, slipping away from her friends a bit to float over to them. "We are not bad people, though." She said in her normal voice.
"I don't mind it, I'm just a bit surprised." The tom mewed, going silent as he noticed the other star kits lingering nearby.
