I currently have no muse, so someone else can start.

  • Angela sighed, her slim figure nestled in one of the pea-green chairs that specifically belonged in The Nook. Her head was draped over one of the arms while her legs covered the other.
She stared at the ceiling, occasionally taking a deep breath and seeing how long she could hold her breath. Boredom. Boredom was what she always felt when her father left to work at The Bistro. There was nothing to do, she disliked reading and she felt extremely lazy today.
The thirteen year old sighed as she stared through the glass, perhaps she wouldn't be bored if she was normal...Perhaps she would be laughing with a small group of friends instead of cowering at the sight of someone who wasn't a Miren.

OCC: sorry I'm not the best at starting

  • Thomas was in the bakery, sitting at a table and playing Candy Crush and occasionally texting Alina back about how empty the baker was. No one had came in that day. This had occasionally happened before, but the Miren was living through every second of it. Here's how the texts went:

    Thomas: SCORE!

    Alina: Beat a CC level?

    Thomas: Yeah

    Thomas It took me forever.

    Alina: Which?? 52?

    Thomas: 53.

    Alina: Customer came in. BRB.

Thomas: Why do you capitalize everything

    Thomas: Oh, bye.

Alina was having an average day. Customers. Not many, but still a few. Exciting when one came in, but not that exciting. It seemed as if she and Thomas were having a Candy Crush race, expertly flicking her thumb while watching the customer, a woman only a few years older than her of African heritage, look at shirts.

  • Cole glanced over at a costumer who just walked in. It was a fairly young lady, and he swiftly strode over to her. "I'll show you to your table. Is it just for one?" He asked, speaking somewhat softly, but surely. After the woman nodded, Cole led her to a table by the wall.

Kate sat in the library, holding quite possibly one of her favorite books. For the next week anyway, until she finds another. In her hand was Hopeless by Colleen Hoover.

  • The Queen
The Queen strode through the mansion, her castle. Her hand traced along the wall, and her eyes clouded with thought, and a grim look on her usually smiling face. Her hand fell into air as she passed a doorway, snapping her out of her reverie.
She whirled on the door, but it was only that, a simple door. She went inside cautiously, thought she knew it to be the library. The smell of books hit her like a old friend. Her scowl lifted a little as she strolled down the aisles. She mumbled opinions on books to herself as her eyes scanned the spines.
"Eh, he used too much imagery."
"I need to read that one again sometime."
"Is this the one I hit over the head of my brother? No, no, it was this one. Still has the dent!"
She rounded a corner, and happened to come upon Kate. One hand went for her gun, a natural instinct, but she relaxed as she recognized the child. "Hello, dearie." She said with a matronly smile.

    Rudo
Rudo stumbled down the hallway by himself. He was supposed to be locked in the nursery, but he had stolen a couple of bobbypins from GranQueen's room underneath his pillow, and picked the lock. He was a bit spoiled, as he knew he would not be punished, at least not by GranQueen, but he was modest, and knew all good things came to an end. Quite wise for a four year old, but most wouldn't envy his past.
He tumbled into the nook, and grinned with delight as he saw Angela.
"Lala!" He proclaimed, toddling over to climb onto her, or attempt to anyways.

    Dessa
Dessa leaned in a corner of the bakery, folding pieces of paper into airplanes. After completing them, she would then casually toss them across the room. Boredom was not her friend, as at least fifteen stacked up in a pile on the far wall.
She heard a ding, and got to her feet with a sigh. Much as she enjoyed working here, the smell of cookies was losing its deliciousness. She practically hated the smell now, but she wouldn't mind eat one or two.
After shoveling them off and onto the cooling rack, she stole two.
While nibbling on hers, she brought one over to Thomas, though she could see he was pretty interested in his Candy Crush. "It was burnt." She explained with a wink. The cookies didn't have any imperfections on them.

  • "Has anyone ever not used that just so they get free food?" Thomas rhetorically asked, the cookie Dessa had brought over. "'Pparently the boutique has more business than us. Not much of a surprise, really." He might have been rumbling to himself as he clicked a few red candies together. His phone vibrated a 'Sweet!' out, and then again a few seconds later. He beat the level with a not-so-silent victory, and texted Alina, "Beat 54, try and beat me."

  • The young girl let out a squeak of surprise before recognizing the form as Rudolph.
"Oh....Hello, Rudo" She gave him a weak smile before lifting her head up to get a better look at him. The thirteen year old lifted her eyebrow "Aren't you suppose to be in the nursery?" She questioned, rolling onto her belly.

  • Kate glanced up from her book. "Hello, GranQueen! I didn't see you come in, or hear you, for that matter." She spoke softly, but excitedly. There was a broad smile on her face.

Cole swiftly walked away from the woman, and grabbed a menu from the rack. He was back to her within a minute. "Here is you menu, madam." He said curtly, placing the menu before her.

  • The Queen
"If there's anything I've learned in my years, dear, it's that silence is golden." She said, tapping her own nose as if sharing a secret. Peering at the book, she smiled. "That one's good, though I'm not particularly fond of how it ends."

    Rudo
"I'm supposed to be." He giggled, plopping himself down on the floor. "But I'm not." He clumsily attempted a wink, before giggled again.

    Dessa
"Your phone likes the cookie." She teased, glancing at the screen. "Level 54, eh? So the bakery doesn't get any busier than this? We may have to eat all the cookies." She threatened playfully.

  • "You're a lil' rascal, y'know?" Angela smile thickened as she sat up. "Your grandma's going to punish you." She teased waving a finger at the four year old.

  • Thomas nodded. "Yep. There's usually a few customers- around 3 to 10 or 15." He said, before realizi- "Alina's probably at, like, 62! Dang powerpuff girl..." It was obvious he thought of the insult off the top of his head, but he felt it was amazing.

Alina: Customer's gone & have you figured it out yet?

    Thomas: Bubbles ftw?

    Alina: I like Buttercup better.

Alina: So was that a yes?

    Thomas: Yeah.

Thomas: I called you a powerpuff girl...

    Alina: LOL

  • Kate blushed slightly and looked down at the book. "I cried a few times during it. I don't understand how words on paper can do that." She murmured.

Cole nodded to her after she thanked him. He turned around and headed to the backroom.
