    Echopaw sat outside the medicine den, muttering quietly to himself. Everything was silent, except for his gentle murmuring. Suddenly, the camp exploded into noise as several kits bundled out of the nursery. Without warning, they mauled Echopaw, three against one. Dewkit and Dawnkit clawed his face with their tiny paws, their claws sheathed for his sake, while Rainkit scrambled all over him. Echopaw uttered a muffled help!


    Silentwing sighed and followed the kits out of the nursery. She cast Echopaw an apologetic glance, before leading the kits away.


    Willowfoot and Swiftpaw gave little mrrrows of amusement, from where they sat, as they watched the kits play.

    Echopaw gave a gasp of relief, staggering to his paws. "Those kits are deadly," He muttered. Willowfoot couldn't contain her laugh.
    Cloverheart emerged from the warriors den, closely followed by Cinderfur and Adderstrike.
    Emeraldstare sat in camp, murmuring softly to Jadespark. "When do you think Blazingstar will choose a deputy?"
    Jadespark shrugged. "Before moonhigh, I hope," She replied.
