  • OOC: Whoops, alrighty then! Lemme just redo that.

  • "Requirements.." Curvedpaw paused, trying to think of whatever came to mind. In all honesty, she wasn't too bright about this whole process of becoming a warrior. She did know a few obvious reasons though. "Well, our leader has to bless you in order for you take on apprenticeship. It should take you around four moons to complete this apprenticeship. Having injuries does prevent you from actually being able to become a warrior. I heard in Thunderclan their medicine cat was brutally injured, but she was useful all the same. You'd think she would have given up, but she didn't. She took on one of the greatest jobs in the camp." she smiled, offering Trickster a fresh fish that was all cleaned up. "Here, I'll teach you how to descale one properly." she promised, keeping her word.

"All you need to worry about is making it into the clan, and getting to the appropriate age. In order to be a warrior, you have to successfully get through the apprentice process. And while you're an apprentice, you have to do daily tasks such as training to catch fish, mice, and voles. There is also maintaining the camp's appearance, fixing the feathers on the dens and switching out some new bedding for the elders. Seafoam usually takes me on patrol, even if most warriors don't. And as for you," she gestured towards Trickster. "You'll be the oldest apprentice. They'll expect great things from you." she chewed, feeling a fish eye pop in her mouth. Meanwhile, she could see Seafoam's silhouette coming up to them.

"Hey guys. I went to speak with the leader," she began, swiping up a small fish for herself. "When you're all well-fed, I can take you three to where you'll be staying tonight. Lucky for you unlike other clans our medicine den has a spare room. Currently no cats are injured in there which is a great thing. You'll find warmth, no raindrops coming through the ceiling, and no rude comments from other prestigious cats." Seafoam said gladly, hoping Curvedpaw hadn't told them that being kittypets may hurt Mistystar's decision.

//Sorry for being the clan leader. It might be power playing for you, but if you'd like to play her instead, you can!

  • OOC: Nah, it's all good. Also, I really like the way you write! : )

IC; Thursday nodded, absorbing all of the information like a sea sponge. "It sounds very taxing," He said after a moment. Thursday knew the task of making his way to being a warrior would be tiring, but he was confident in himself. He was born and built to follow orders, and that seemed to be the entire point of apprenticeship. The little cat flicked his ears. For a cat with a small build and an innocent demeanor, he could deal some damage if he had to. He was generally a very soft, gentle cat, but if he had to take something on, he would push through. He shivered as he remembered something his father had said once: "If you can't fight, you'd more useful to me dead." Thursday tried to push the thought away and glanced up with wide blue eyes at his brother.

Trickster met his gaze and grinned. He knew something was wrong when he looked into his brother's eyes, but he was too tired and hungry to ask about it right then. He nodded at Curvedpaw. "Teach me tomorrow, kiddo. We've been traveling for days, I need my beauty sleep." He winked at her jokingly and turned towards Seafoam. "Prestigious," Trickster repeated, rolling it along his tongue. "Sounds like a word my smarty-paws brother would say."

Thursday smiled a little. He liked that phrase. He liked to be called smart. He puffed out his chest fur in an inadvertent proud gesture. "My apologies if I'm being too bold or ill-mannered in asking this, but didn't you mention to us that it was supposed to rain? My paws are dry." Trickster threw his head back and laughed loudly at that.

"That's how my smarty-paws brother makes a joke," Trickster tittered, turning to Curvedpaw. "Loosen him up if we're gonna be staying here! Tell him to get the thorns out of his feet and live a little! He won't listen to his big bro."

  • OOC: Oh my gosh, thank you! I really like the way you write too.

Curvedpaw giggled, nudging his side playfully once again. "You're just fine with all of these questions, and I can't blame you. If I was from some other land, my mind would be boggling with questions to the point where I'd lose my mind. Basically, I think I'd go bonkers." she giggled, starting to pad towards the medicine den. There, they would find Mothwing, a beautiful, long haired dappled golden tabby she-cat with amber eyes. She was awfully kind to Curvedpaw and Seafoam, so surely she had to be kind to their new friends. "Oh yeah, it'll totally rain soon. Just wait until you close your eyes, and you'll hear the rain patter." she promised, approaching the den.

Seafoam glanced over to Trickster and gave a slight chuckle. He was rather humorous, especially since he had just came all the way to Riverclan and swam through a cold river. As they made their way, she nudged his shoulder. “Hey, I can’t stay with you in there tonight. I have to sleep in the warrior’s den, like every other warrior. But don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll be in there in no time.” she said, heading towards the den. It looked like a boulder, with an entrance at the front leading to a slightly illuminated inside. Bottles, leaves, and feathers were scattered along with beds. “Sleep in as much as you want, I’ll wake you up tomorrow.” Seafoam said, glancing at Curvedpaw. “Come on, you have to go to bed too. Say goodbye to your friends. I’ll come in to explain to Mothwing everything.” she said, entering past the reed curtains. Curvedpaw stood there, glancing at her friends sheepishly.

“I.. I’ll see you tomorrow Thursday.” she blurted before darting off. She knew she wouldn’t be sleeping tonight.

  • Thursday smiled slightly, following in pace with the two she-cats and occasionally glancing over at Trickster, who was listening to everything that both Curvedpaw and Seafoam said intently. Trickster's bright golden eyes shimmered in the dimming light. Thursday's blue eyes were fixed on Curvedpaw's.

"Tomorrow, do you think I could drop off Ana with a she-cat bearing kits? She's not completely off of milk yet, and I'm sure she's super hungry," Trickster said softly, giving Seafoam a sincere, honey-colored gaze. It was obvious how much he cared for his siblings. Usually, he spoke to them and helped them through their problems with jokes and humor. He was one of the oldest of his mother's very first litter, which contained 7 kits. He had all brothers in the first litter, and got a few sisters in Thursday's litter, but once he saw Anael he knew that he was going to take her along. Her pelt was long and fine like his mother's; creamy pale orange with small shades of white.

Trickster was a fairly golden cat, like a fresh stalk of wheat. His eyes were a matching auburn that his two-leg referred to as "whiskey-colored", whatever that meant. Thursday had gotten the complete opposite of the gene pool; his pelt white with all sorts of shades of brown in between. He was like a fluffy Siamese, which was a stark contrast to his mother. Thursday had no idea how much he looked like his father, because he didn't remember seeing him, just hearing him and obeying orders.

"Good night, Curvedpaw," Thursday finally said, breaking Trickster out of his thoughts. "Good night, Seafoam. I hope I'll see you both in the morning." Trickster almost rolled his eyes at his brother's words. He was hoping Curvedpaw would break Thursday out of being so proper all the time. Thursday retreated inside of the den, curling up quickly in a far corner and waiting for Trickster.

  • Seafoam glanced at Ana and couldn't help but nod. "I would take her now, trust me. But all of the queens are probably sleepy and awfully cranky at this hour. I would provide some food for her myself, but I'm afraid I'm much too young to be a queen!" she giggled, leading them into the guest room where beds were placed along the sides of the walls. The medicine cat's den was sort of like a cave. There was even a shade above to be pulled away to reveal light and pulled back to keep rain and the light out. It was sort of mystifying, the way it was so empty. Seafoam looked at each of them, and took a breath. "Hey, I'll see you three in the morn'. I'll have a quick word with Mothwing, and then I'll be off to bed myself. If anything happens, I'm sure you can ask Mothwing for anything." she informed, just about ready to exit. "Alright, I'll see you lots tomorrow. Goodnight." she grinned, exiting the room through the reeds.

There she spoke with Mothwing about the findings of cats who were in danger at young ages, and were going to stay there for the night. Luckily she had understood, and knowing that the leader condoned it, she couldn't say much otherwise. Mothwing's golden pelt matched Trickster's a bit. It had stripes like a darker, that made her pelt look lighter than the stripes. Her amber eyes shimmered as she was just about ready to go to sleep. Departing, Seafoam exited on a good note. No feelings were hurt, and hopefully the three would get a good sleep. As she went into the warriors den, she padded to her nest with feathers poking out of it.

A female she-cat perked her head up and made a face in disgust. "Huh?" she asked, scrunching up her nose. "You smell like wet kitty-pet. What have you been up to?" she had asked, being particularly nosy today. Seafoam had rolled her eyes and stuck her tongue out. "Go back to bed, won't you? You'll miss a wink of that beauty you claim to have." Seafoam yawned, resting her head on her bedding and slowly began to fall into a pleasant sleep. She just could not wait to wake up the next morning.

  • OOC: Should we skip to morning ?

IC; Trickster nodded understandingly, giving way to a little chuckle. "Way to young to be a queen," He agreed, the word 'queen' stuck on his tongue. He didn't know all of the Clanner's terms yet, but he was patient in learning them. Despite Thursday being the 'smart' one of the three siblings that had arrived, Trickster was no idiot. He was sure that he would be able to figure things out himself.

Trickster departed from the area in which he and Seafoam had stood previously and carefully snuggled Ana between himself and Thursday. Thursday was already fast asleep, his chest rising and falling rhythmically every couple seconds.

"We're gonna be okay here, little brother," He said softly, his voice gentle and tender. Ana stirred slightly at his words and he licked her head as a way to comfort her. "You're gonna be just fine too, Anael. Father won't ever find you here, and he won't ever do the same thing to you as he did to our older brothers and Thursday. We're gonna be okay here." Thursday had woken up slightly as his brother was talking, but didn't let him know. He knew that if Trickster was using Ana's full name, then he was saying was serious.

Sometimes Thursday missed his mother, and all of his many other siblings. However, he knew that his father only saw him as a shield and nothing more. Thursday was meant to be the martyr since he was born. He was meant as a foot soldier; some little army hero who would keep his older and younger siblings safe. In his mother's first litter was all 7 of his older brothers; Prince, Balthazar, Chronos, Chalice, Jupiter, Theo, and of course, Trickster. In his litter was 6 others who often excluded him from their games, and in Ana's litter... Thursday began to drift off again as he attempted to remember his little sibling's names, but none came to mind. Blackness swirled around him and he was asleep again.

  • OOC: Sure, sorry for the delay. Mother's Day shopping.

Seafoam had reawakened tiresome, but she had to remind herself that she was waking up for a good cause. Usually she slept in lazily, and only woke up when she was given orders. She wasn't always there to even do those tasks either, but she respectively did them anyway. Loyalty to the clan, blah blah blah. That's how Curvedpaw would put it. As she stretched out of bed, she went past the other cats deep in their sleep. Her first task was to find a queen to feed Ana. The poor thing must have been starving at this point, and Seafoam couldn't take another minute thinking about it. So, she reported to the queen's den immediately to find all of them up and at it. She couldn't remember the last time she had been here. She did have very, very faded memories of her mother hanging about here, but now her mother was much too old to be a queen. In fact, now she was an elder. Living her last days with her bedding replaced and chattering about the old times.

Yikes, she hoped to never see herself like that anytime soon. Shaking it off, she looked around to see a queen that wasn't busy tending to a kit. She padded over to Sandybreeze, who seemed to be half awake and half asleep. All she could do was give a few nudges before Sandybreeze snapped up and grumbling. "W-What do you want Seafoam? It's awfully early." she complained, stretching out her front paws. Briefly, Seafoam explained that there was a kit from a different area, vaguely a kittypet, and was starving for some milk. With that, Sandybreeze shook her head. "No way! I'm not feeding something that's full. All they do is complain, and take things for granted. That kit is probably a spoiled brat." she grunted, turning over and going back to sleep. Seafoam was astounded that a queen would actually say that. And after asking nearly ever queen she was left with only one that seemed to be exhausted from feeding. Seafoam nearly begged, but the queen made no hesitation to agree.

"A kit is a kit. After all, this little one is joining the clan. I don't see the point in not doing so.. bring her in if you will." Shelltree replied coolly, leaving Seafoam to do the job in waking up the sleepy Trickster. If only he wasn't such a deep sleeper.

  • OOC: It's arright : )

IC; Trickster barely stirred when Seafoam entered, his breathing slow and rhythmic. Thursday, however, was always alert, and immediately untangled himself from his brother and stood up. He sat with his shoulders back and his back straight in front of Seafoam. He acted like a stoic little soldier, with the most emotions he showed publicly were about his dear friend Freckles. Freckles was obviously a tom that took up a large piece of Thursday's heart. They were best friends, inseparable, always on adventures together. Freckles taught him how to feel free. However, Thursday's father and 6 other older brothers were a grim reminder that he could never be free. Luckily, his big brother Trickster had changed that for him, though he knew he was going to have trouble 'getting the thorns out of his feet'.

"I apologize for his..." Thursday paused and gave a small glare toward his brother, raking his bright blue eyes down his brother's golden pelt. "Indolent behavior. I'll see to it to wake him regularly in the future if we're allowed to stay." With that, the lanky splotched tom slapped his brother on the head roughly with a paw. Trickster awoke with a slight start and he lazily blinked up at the two.

"Oh hey," He slurred tiredly, "Didn't hear you come-" He broke off, leaping up immediately and glancing all around him. He gave his younger brother a hard look. "Where is Anael?"
