Tails sighed gently as he looked up at the stars. He was laying down on the grass, the wind ruffling his chest fur. -
So we're just pretending Cosmo isn't on another galaxy? :3

Cosmo thought it was a nice night to go out. Maybe she could find some flowers to bring for Amy and Cream tomorrow, she reasoned. At the field, Cosmo found a familiar figure sitting under the starlight. "Hello, Tails," she greeted with a smile. "I didn't expect to find you here."

"Oh, hey Cosmo." Tails said, sitting up quickly. "I didn't expect to see you here either!" He blushed and awkwardly scratched the back of his head. -
"Did I interrupt anything," Cosmo asked, somewhat startled by Tails' sudden movement.

"No..." He said smiling gently. At that moment, Tails noticed how beautiful Cosmo was; the starlight shining from behind her head, the way she was looking at him... It caused him turn a slightly more red. -
Tails looked so embarassed, it was hard for Cosmo not to giggle. "Good." She sat down next to him and brought her knees to her chest. She looked over at him. "I just assumed you would be in your workshop," she admitted.

"Well, sometimes a fox like me needs a break." Tails said as he looked over at Cosmo with a smile. -
"Yes, that makes sense," Cosmo giggled, blushing a little. "Especially since you work so hard in there on your X-Tornado."

He giggled a little too. "Yeah, I guess I do working pretty hard." -
"And it's very impressive." Cosmo smiled back, then realized she was fiddling with the end part of her dress. She smoothed it down, wondering why she felt so nervous.

Tails noticed his twin tails twitching like they did when he was nervous. He stopped and looked downwards, blushing still. -
Cosmo giggled at the way Tails' tails twitched. Not to make fun, but because she thought it was cute, combined with the way he looked down at the ground bashfully. She looked skyward, to the stars, trying to clear her mind of the jitters and nervousness that felt ready to overtake her. "Amy told me Sonic took her to the beach," she said, trying to start a better, more casual conversation.

"That's nice. Took him sometime to warm up to her, eh?" He asked, looking towards Cosmo. -
Cosmo giggled at the irony. "I guess so. All I could understand from what Amy said was basically 'beach' and 'water'. I had no idea she could talk so fast...although I can't say I'm surprised."

Tails awkwardly scooted closer. "Heh heh, yeah." He chuckled.
