Welcome, failed experiments. You thought you would have your childhood dream fulfilled, maybe, or that you could save the world. Silly. It isn't that simple, my dear. Maybe you are telepathic. You are also insane, all the thoughts of all those people trapped in your head. Maybe you can control weather. Who says lightning can't hurt you?

These people were taken from their homes. Parents dead, no relatives willing to take them in, they were gladly adopted by Doctor Richard Howell, scientist who illegally experiments on people. He had developed an injection, to get people to have superpowers. Real life superheroes, and these 12 kids would be the first. Imagine that, your parents just died, and this man adopted you and offered you what would most likely be fame and fortune. And you accepted it, you regretted it. You were the first, and no one knew what to expect. So when you got perfectly fine, working superpowers, you were so happy, until one person set themselves on fire from their hands, one person went borderline insane when they were forced to listen to everyone's thoughts constantly, and one struck themselves with lightning. It was chaos, and the scientist abandoned you. They got other test subjects. You were now no longer superman or -woman. You were a failed experiment.
1. No characters with drawbacks that don't outweigh your powers. You have to make it so the drawback makes the power bad.
2. Have a scientific explanation. No powers for no reason, like "oh yeah I can make fire magically". Maybe instead, say that the small amount of electricity in the body is increased, and basically that energy is transformed into fire.
3. OP characters have OP drawbacks.
4. If you got this far, say your character is a fail.
5. Actually, say your character with someday master their power. Ignore number four.
6. Don't fight in OOC, guys. Take it to PM.
7. If the person your character is currently interacting with hasn't responded for a week, move on to a different character to interact with. On the other hand, if someone does this to you, don't blame them.
8. On that subject, post at least once every week. We can't have a bunch of inactive people.
9. If you sign up, and you don't post on the RP thread within a week, your character is going up for adoption.
10. Make two characters if you can play both boys and girls well. If not, you only need one.

Setting;;
These failed experiments of course could not go out in public, as most couldn't control their powers and some could start killing innocent people. Thus, they found themselves wandering through the wilderness, not knowing where they are or where they're going. The place they're in is a large temperate forest, with mixed kinds of tree (pine and leafy) and many brooks running through it. At some points it's marshy, and at some points it's rocky, depending on the closeness to the mountain range that blocks them from civilization. They have found an abandoned cabin with canned food, bedding, and lots of space. The area around it is a clearing, with a cliff side that touches the sky way above the cabin on one side and forest on the other. The cliff can be used for rock climbing, if you want a challenge. There are traps set around the forest, but not too many, just in case they run out of food.
Inside the cabin is a main room, that is both a dining room and a kitchen. It has a large table with six chairs, an oven, a mini-fridge, and a lot of cabinets. There is a sink connected to a well outside. In fact, all the water is connected to the well, so they usually have plumbing unless it freezes up. There are four bedrooms, three on the upper floor and one on the bottom. The bathroom is on the upper floor, and there is only one. Here is the bedroom arrangements:
