  • Desertweed paid no attention to Bloomingpoppy, just focusing on Stoneshadow."How about I teach you how to swim? That will help clear your mind." she mewed a little louder this time to where Bloomingpoppy could hear her, even though she didn't mean to. Without waiting for him to respond, the beautiful-voiced Egyptian Mau licked his cheek and bounded out into the forest again. She approached a gentle stream with barely any currents. This place helped her keep in good practice, so she didn't forget her lessons with Dewdrop. She smiled and leaped in the calm water, waiting for Stoneshadow to appear.

  • Bluebird looked over seeing clearsky. She smiled as she looked back ahead. She didn't like...or understand him yet, but he was cute.

  • OOC: I hope this doesn't sound rude, but Bloomingpoppy and Stoneshadow aren't related. ^^;

IC: Stoneshadow blinked as he watched the Egyptian Mau lick his cheek and be on her way already. His smile then grew a bit wider and he got up, stretching a bit before going after the she-cat. As he padded past the Warriors' den, he noticed Bloomingpoppy watching him, her eyes clouded with sadness. His own ice blue gaze twinkled with curiosity, but he continued to walk off. A short while later he arrived at the gentle stream, glad to be receiving another opportunity to spend time with Desertweed, but embarrassed at taking awhile to find her. "Sorry." he meowed awkwardly, looking off to the side as he shuffled his forepaws. "...I got lost."

Bloomingpoppy's attention was redirected to Desertweed and Stoneshadow again as she heard the Egyptian Mau offer him swimming lessons. This caused the sorrow in the tabby's eyes to become more noticable, and she stared at the two as she watched them leave the warren, her ears flattened.

  • He nodded" for you" he smiled. " and I would like to spend some time with you"he lashed his tail slowly. Eyes glittering

  • Bloomingpoppy blushed, but the tom's sweet gesture failed to sway her from her current emotions. Her eyes were still registering hurt. "...F...Frostedair..." she meowed quietly, her voice caught in her throat. "...This...this is very sweet of you, but...you've caught me at a bad time...Thank you though. I really appreciate it..." she turned her head to the side, no longer able to contain her sadness as tears slowly began to stream down her muzzle.

  • He put his ears down."I see".he turned around and padded to the med den. Licking his paw.he looked over at the med cat, hoping to get a chance....so he could earn the respect of the clan... but the med cat would be warned by starclan. He sat there thinking

Darkstar frowned at Bloomingpoppy's sadness. She turned her full attention to Bloomingpoppy again. "What'd he say, Bloomingpoppy?"

  • OOC: Woops! My fault! :) I'll change that.

IC: "No problem! The water is nice and cool. Don't be afraid to stick a paw in to check. Well, let's get started!" Desertweed purred and swam to the other side of the stream."The most helpful trick I learned from Dewdrop was just to pretend you're walking on land, but in water." she smiled and began to demonstrate. Her paws stroked swiftly through the water like she was walking, and she stayed afloat. Drops of water made her pelt sparkle as the sunlight reflected off them."Now you try." the Egyptian Mau moved onshore, her emerald green gaze showing her excitement. She felt like Dewdrop right now, loving to help her friends. Is he a friend, or even more...? she thought, but shook her head so she could focus on Stoneshadow.

  • Bloomingpoppy tried to hold back more tears from streaking her muzzle, looking over at the leader with grief. "...I might be overreacting over this, but he said that I never have anything interesting to say." She sniffled. "It really isn't that bad of an insult, but...why do I feel so sad over it...?" she rubbed an eye with the back of a forepaw.

Stoneshadow looked at the she-cat for a little while before looking down at the water. He stuck a paw in then watched the Egyptian Mau swim through the stream, his eyes faintly glittering with attraction as he watched her sparkling silver pelt. As soon as Desertweed was on shore, he waded into the water, trying to concentrate as the she-cat's words of advice echoed in his mind. He took slow, small, and cautious strokes, before turning around to face Desertweed in the short distance he swam. "Am I doing it right?!" he meowed loudly.

Darkstar smiled sympathetically, "Bloomingpoppy, you always have something interesting to say. You're the most interesting cat I know! Don't let Shadowstone make you sad. If you ask me, I think he's a bit too grumpy all the time, he should learn to be more like you. Sweet, funny, and kind." Darkstar's usually hard voice had grown soft as she spoke. Warrenclan's leader was slightly surprised at her words, she had no idea how that had happened but it was all true.

Gentlepaw looked up when Frostedair entered the den. "Oh, it's you.. hello." The medicine cat apprentice went back to reciting how to pick mint as if she hadn't seen him.

  • Bloomingpoppy continued to rub her eye with her paw. She sniffled again, looking over at the leader with less hurt in her eyes this time. "...T-Thank you Darkstar. That means alot..." she stuttered, smiling at the she-cat a bit. "...I still can't explain why it hurt to hear that from him though..."

Darkstar glanced around before leaning in close. "I think you may like like him Bloomingpoppy," she whispered so only she could hear her words, "that would explain the unexplained sadness from it.. he's been hanging out with Desertedweed so you may be secretly jealous.."

    _______________________________________________________________

  • Bloomingpoppy blushed as Darkstar whispered to her. "L-l-like him?!" she meowed in disbelief, eyes widened. "J-Jealous too?!" Her eyes darted around the den in shock before looking down at her paws. After a while, her ears drooped again, and the pain glittered in her eyes once more. "...M-Maybe you're right..." she whispered. "...I...I probably do like him..."

  • Desertweed nodded, moving back in the water. She swam right next to him so he could have a better demonstration."You're already learning well. This may sound weird, but I wish we could come here at this stream everyday and just forget about our problems. Just push them away like the gentle currents." she said with sparking emerald eyes. Their wet pelts touched and she purred, wanting to stay like this forever.

  • Stoneshadow smiled at Desertweed's nod. "Good then." he meowed calmly, his softened gaze fixed on the she-cat as she continued to speak. He studied her eyes for a few seconds before adding, "...It's not weird at all. Everybody wants to get away from their problems, right?" he then looked away after a moment, his eyes faintly glinting with embarrassment as he opened his jaws to continue talking to the Egyptian Mau. "...If...if you want, and if it'd make you happy...we can come here everyday and just swim in the stream together."

Darkstar frowned and padded to her side meowing, "It's not bad that you like him Bloomingpoppy. It's never ever bad to love someone. If you want I shall keep this a secret between you and me, she-cat and she-cat, ok? Don't feel bad." The leader hoped this was enough to cheer the pained she-cat.
