Koiwing felt a wave of sorrow pass her. "W-What do you mean leave?"

"I mean.... Leave," Vanillatail looked less sympathetic now, "Kits.... To much... I can't be a good father. Tell Violetkit I'm sorry."

Koiwing buried her face in Vanillatail's fur. "Don't go!" she mewed through sobs.

Vanillatail took a step back, "I-I can't support a family I don't love." Vanillatail narrowed his eyes, "Bye Koiwing."

Vanillatail turned to leave. He quickly sprinted away, not turning around.

Koiwing watched Vanillatail leave. She lay on her side, crying.
Glacierkit padded after her father.

"Where's Daddy going?" Violetkit poked his mom, "He said he was going to play with me."
