Every summer, Lydia heads to the beach house her family shares with her moms and dads best friends. Those friends have two sons, one a little over a year older than the other, with Lydia being the same age as the younger one. She's been going to this beach house every summer since she was a little kid. She'd grown up with the boys, and Lydia always always had a crush on the older brother (your main guy). As she got older, and more...mature, she started falling harder for him. But he never noticed her. She always thought it was because she was just a girl he grew up with, she meant nothing to him. The younger brother liked her though, and he and Lydia and him started dating, falling in love. Lydia thought this was good for her, she could finally get over the older brother. Over the school year, during her senior year, she spends time with the younger brother, since they're in a relationship. She'd been pretty close with the older brother, and during that time she was dating the younger one, the older barely talked to her. So when summer rolls around this year, the two families reunite at their beach house as always. Lydia thinks this is great, because now she can spend lots of time with her boyfriend, since they'd lived a few hours apart during the school year. However...things aren't that simple. Feelings for the older brother resurface, and Lydia finds herself extremely confused. Things take an even crazier turn when Lydia finds out the older brother has had a crush on her for the longest time, and he just never acted on it. When tragedy strikes the boys family, their mother dying from her cancer...all the truth comes out. What will happen to the three friends?

Side Notes: This rp is sort of based off the book series by Jenny Han. (GREAT BOOKS GO READ THEM). Anyways, this plot does require you to roleplay both brothers, only because it makes things so much easier. I'll be roleplaying the boys mother (because she dies so yeah) and my own characters mom when needed. But anyways yes, you'll probably be roleplaying the older brother more than the younger brother. Older brother is in college already, and the younger brother and mine will be going into college. But anyways, just post pics of the two boys andddd....yeah...yeah. Then I'll make up a post!

Lydia had been packing for the summer for probably three weeks. She'd started before school even ended. She absolutely loved the beach house. Since she didn't live anywhere close to the beach in the town she lived it, it was nice to get away. And...she was really excited to spend the summer with Kyle, and Jonah too. He hadn't spoken to her in a while, and she kind of wanted to reconcile with him. This summer would definitely help with that, she was counting on it.

Anyways, so when the day came to head to the beach house, Lydia was the first to stuff her suitcase into the back of her moms SUV. Her dad wasn't going to spend the summer there, he was going to visit though when he could. Her older brother wasn't coming either, Daniel wanted to be with his girlfriend. Guess Jonah and Kyle would be missing out on some guy time with him! He just got promoted and needed a lot of time spent on the new job. He was still around though, so it wasn't so bad. But Lydia could tell her mom missed her dad alot. They were cute together, still so in love after years of dating. She hoped that she would have that kind of marriage.

It took two hours to get to the beach house, and we arrived around two in the afternoon. Lydia immediately dragged her suitcase up the steps of the house, into the house. "We're heeerree," she called into the house, and started dragging the suitcase towards the stairs to go up to her usual bedroom. Lydia liked that room more than the one back home. She made it about halfway and sat down, exhausted, taking a break. The suitcase was heavy.

Lydia glanced up at Jonah coming down the stairs, and gave him a polite smile. "Hello there stranger," she said and stood up. "Fool, always forgets his phone," she rolled her eyes. She watched him take her suitcase, "Hey, I could have finished grabbing it," she said, and followed him up after. It felt nice seeing him after so long, though he looked different. Older maybe.

She could her her mom in the kitchen, yelling to her the thanks for helping out her mom. But, Jonah's mom greeted her in the kitchen, the two friends giving each other a hug, and then they went out the car together to get the rest of the things that Lydia was too lazy to help with.

Lydia raised an eyebrow at that comment. "Couldn't you have realized the ignoring thing sooner? I like attention," she joked and once she got to the top of the stairs, pushed past him into the bedroom, and went and jumped on the bed. "I missed this mattress," she said and bundled up in the blankets and pillows. "Dude, you know what we have to do this summer? Jet ski," she said, peeking over at him from her cocoon of blankets.

"You're in college and you're just now discovering that?" Lydia said and then laughed, "Sorry, I shouldn't be so mean," she got out form under the covers and fixed her red hair that had no doubt frizzed up from the friction of all the fabrics. She got up and went over to the window, where she had a nice view of the beach. "Want to go down there?" she asked, motioning outside, to the ocean.

"Homework?" Lydia pouted, "But it's summer. Don't tell me you're trying to get ahead," she punched his arm, but sighed. "Okay, I suppose I'll find something to do. I'll be by the pool," she said and gave him a long look before heading out of the room, and down the stairs. She went into the kitchen, giving Jeanine (aka the boys' mom) a hug as greeting. Then she headed out to the pool and sat down, sticking her feet in while looking around the yard.

"Yeah yeah, great," Lydia had said to him before going downstairs. Now at the pool she pushed away dead bugs that floated by - gross first of all. Then she leaned back on her hands, glancing up at the sky. It was a nice sunny day out, puffy clouds here and there. She really hoped Kyle got back soon and Jonah finished with his homework. She was extremely bored.
