    Brody held Piper tightly to him, placing his head on hers.


    "T-that's why I-I'm so scared... I-I d-don't want to lose you, Piper...ever." he said softly. "I-I don't think I could stand losing someone else I love...!"

    Piper felt tears in her own eyes at this and held him tightly, sobbing weakly. "I won't ever leave you....just....don't ever leave me....!" She cried.

    Brody hugged Piper tighter to him, remembering how close he had come to leaving her alone... and yet how he had found the will to fight to return to the one he truly loved.


    "I won't, sweetheart... I promise!" he said, his voice a little gruff with emotion. "I've made good on my promise once... and I'll continue to do so, come what may!"

    Piper parted from him slightly so she could pull him into a loving kiss, holding him close.


    After pulling away, a thought crossed her mind, "Dr. Summers? Did we ever get back my test results?" She asked softly.

    Brody smiled slightly as Piper kissed him, which he returned before she pulled away and turned to the doctor. Dr Summers smiled and nodded.


    "Yes, I have the results right here." she said, raising her hand and showing Piper an envelope, which she put on her bedside table. "I could explain all the big words and unfamiliar terms in there, but ultimately, the results are this: there seems to a an anomaly, but it doesn't seem life threatening, as of yet... more tests are needed to determine what the actual cause is. However, the amount of emotion you were exhibiting before your 'panic attack' seems to have kicked your heart out of whack, if you will... in other words, it caused your heart to palpitate, or fall out of its usual rhythm."


    She watched the two teens in the bed.


    "We don't know what's wrong yet... but you're going to be okay... it doesn't seem too serious at least."

    Piper took this in with wide eyes, but looked relieved when she said that it didn't seem serious. "Thank you, Doctor...." she said softly.

    Brody hugged Piper closer as the doctor explained the results, then frowned and bit his lip.


    "But you won't know for sure until more test are done... right?" he said quietly.


    Dr Summers smiled kindly at Piper.


    "You're welcome, honey." she said, then nodded at what Brody said. "Yes, that is true. But I wouldn't worry too much. If it were more serious, Dr Roberts would have already taken action"

    Doctor Summers smiled kindly and shook her head at Piper's question as Brody pulled her closer to him.


    "No, honey." she said softly. "Just until they've done the tests. Then you'll be able to go home... and pack to come live with me a while."


    Brody smiled and kissed Piper's head.


    "You'll be fine... you'll see!" he said to try and keep her spirits up.

    Brody chuckled, then hugged her close as well.


    "Hey, why don't we ask these wonderful nurses if they can't put on a movie for us?" he said.


    "I think that's a wonderful idea." Dr Summers agreed. "It'll take your mind of things for a while."


    Brody looked down at Piper.


    "What do you say, sweetheart?"

    Brody grinned as the doctor and nurses smiled.


    "So, what do you feel like watching?" He asked Piper pushing his bed a little higher so they could watch comfortably. "You can choose!"

    Brody chuckled lightly as the nurses smiled and one of them brought out the Little Mermaid. Brody settled down to watch as Dr Summers smiled and excused herself as she had other patients to see. Brody looked over at Piper and grinned.


    "Feels almost like a real movie, huh?" he teased her. "All we need are sodas and popped corn."

    "Anything could be real if I'm with you..." she murmured, kissing his cheek. "It's been so much fun being here with you." She laid back into the bed and wrapped her arms around his waist, snuggling into him as she watched the movie.

    Brody smiled at Piper's words.


    "Every moment I'm with you feels like a dream..." he said as he gently kissed her had as she snuggled in next to him. "I feel like I'm afraid to wake up.... because when I'm with you, I'm happier than I've been in a very long time... "

    "I feel the same..." she murmured softly and looked up at him. "Promise me that you won't leave me .." she held his hand tightly in hers.

    Brody smiled, then squeezed her hand and then placed it on his chest, above his heart.


    "As long as this heart beats...I'll always be with you." he promised her. "I'll never love another girl like I do you. And since I'm planning on living to at least 80, we'll be together a long time."


    He then kissed her gently.
