ST. BENNETT REFORM SCHOOL
[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; width: 400px; letter-spacing: 1px;]one of the many erected after the war between rebels and cops, saint bennett is known for its exemplary results and point-on recoveries. the criminals and the weak-minded who are enrolled into its educational system come out clean and unmarred by the society they grew up in, perfect little students, reformed from their previous misdeeds in such a way that they have forgotten who they were, and embrace who they are, without question.
perhaps that is why the process is so suspicious, especially to the newest batch of students that will enter the school premises. found near the border between canada and the united states, surrounded by acres upon acres of forests and woodlands, the location seems eery enough. overcast skies are common, and only rarely does sunshine ever pass through the impregnable clouds. the trees that surround the campus are of different kinds, leading to nowhere save a few landmark spots, like the small lake apricot, and the saint bennett church. one road in, one road out, no exceptions.
and the students? just as dangerous as the environment. from the suicidal to the serial killer, teenagers who have been mislead by society. their ids are dogtags, labelled with their name, case, and level of difficulty. they come into the school for different reasons, but stranger than what comes in is what goes out. oddly enough, the rumors about st. bennett aren't just rumors. all those who get through graduation come out as 'clean', a term coined by the government to refer to the teenagers that are successfully wiped of their past lives. it's eery how one day, they are scowling and grumbling, the next, genuine smiles can be found decorating their faces.
a transformation process that lasts overnight, not until graduation. a scary thing indeed. it is something that has been talked about throughout the school limits-- do they torture the students? give them pills? electrocute them until they forgot their names? nobody knew, and nobody dared enough to find out. and those who underwent the process? they were like zombies, they all said one thing. "st. bennett's effectiveness is superior to any other schools. the teachers have worked wonders on our minds, and now we are clean and ready to help the society."
everybody knows that's bullsh✹t. something's going on. something big, and eight young students are willing to do everything to find out what-- without having themselves changed in the process.[/fancypost]
