    [align=center][b]~What is ボーカロイド? ~
    [align=center]ボーカロイド (Pronounced as Bōkaroido, Translated to Vocaloid) is a singing voice synthesizer. Its signal processing part was developed through a joint research project led by Kenmochi Hideki at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, in 2000 (the same team that later founded Voctro Labs.) and originally was not intended to be a full commercial project. Backed by the Yamaha Corporation, it developed the software into the commercial product "Vocaloid."The software enables users to synthesize singing by typing in lyrics and melody. It uses synthesizing technology with specially recorded vocals of voice actors or singers. To create a song, the user must input the melody and lyrics. A piano roll type interface is used to input the melody and the lyrics can be entered on each note. The software can change the stress of the pronunciations, add effects such as vibrato, or change the dynamics and tone of the voice. Each Vocaloid is sold as "a singer in a box" designed to act as a replacement for an actual singer. The software was originally only available in English starting with the first Vocaloids Leon, Lola and Miriam and Japanese with Meiko and Kaito, but Vocaloid 3 has added support for Spanish for the Vocaloids Bruno, Clara and Maika; Chinese for Luo Tianyi and Yan He; Korean for SeeU, Catalan for Ona, and French for ALYS.

    [align=center]The Vocaloid singing synthesizer technology is categorized as concatenative synthesis, which splices and processes vocal fragments extracted from human singing voices in the frequency domain. In singing synthesis, the system produces realistic voices by adding information of vocal expressions like vibrato to score information. The Vocaloid synthesis technology was initially called "Frequency-domain Singing Articulation Splicing and Shaping" (周波数ドメイン歌唱アーティキュレーション接続法 Shūhasū-domain Kashō Articulation Setsuzoku-hō?), although Yamaha no longer uses this name on its websites. "Singing Articulation" is explained as "vocal expressions" such as vibrato and vocal fragments necessary for singing. The Vocaloid and Vocaloid 2 synthesis engines are designed for singing, not reading text aloud, though software such as Vocaloid-flex and Voiceroid have been developed for that. They cannot naturally replicate singing expressions like hoarse voices or shouts, but Appends are made to create different tones such as "whisper" and "power".

    [align=center][color=white][i] A fun-loving girl, who usually loves to tease people most often, but mostly in a nice way. I am usually teasing the Kagamine's with their bananas and oranges, or pulling Kaito by the scarf. It's just a way I entertain myself. Other then that, I usually drink sake on the weekends, until I pass out. When I first meet you, I'm quite the average person, but when you get to know me, well......let's just say I'm not your average girl. But that's only if your on my good side. On my bad side, I will usually flinch a lot, and make rude comments while yelling a lot.
    Other than that, is when I get embarrassed. I will start frantically moving places, or reacting quickly, when I'm scared I'm clumsy and fall all over the place. But when I'm drunk....*giggles* I will usually act bipolar. I can be bubbly one minute, and then violent the next.

    [align=center][color=blue][i]She is generally a little bit paranoid and prone to panicking. Granted, she's got amnesia and just found herself in a world 10x larger than herself. Once you calm her down and befriend her, this little fairy is just the best friend. She is very kind and caring towards others, though is no pushover. While she is willing to show acts of kindness even to the seemingly cruelest of characters, if she feels that she is being bossed around or that the thing she's being asked to do is wrong, she will stand her ground just fine. She has a deep appreciation for others, and will fight hard to get what is only the best for her friends. Essentially, she is the most loyal friend you can have. The downside to her personality is that she can be a bit spacey, to the point where it appears that she is stupid. Also she cries easily. She is also very curious, and gets intrigued easily. Especially if she gets even the slightest sense of deja vu. This is thanks to her having no memory of her past

He deeply loves everyone around him, and will go to pretty distant lengths just to keep them by their side. He loves his friends that much; a little too much. Generally everything is fine, but if something were to happen, such as a sign that a friend or family member that he cares about is leaving him one way or another, he just goes berserk. You may call it seperation anxiety if you may. Oliver can be very clingy and overprotective. He gets very attached to others very easily, and it can be very difficult to unattach him. is that a word? well now it is. If someone tries to harm someone he cares about, he'll make them pay dearly.

    [align=center][color=navy][i] In my fanfiction, I got one heck of a backstory about his eye. When Oliver was younger back in England, he was playing on a boat that his parents worked on. Wandering the cargo area, he came across the Venom Sword from Akuno-P's Evillious Chronicles

    Due to age, the sword was rusting a bit. Playing around with the item, a rusty piece of the sword flew into Oliver's left eye, thus blinding him. While the doctors were able to remove the shard of metal, they did not remove the tiny piece of sin that traveled with the shard. The tiny peice being the possessive part of Lust itself. To this day that small peice of sin remains beneath the bandage, subtly influencing his mind and actions.

    I saw a weak, stray kitten on the road, about to be run over. I ran towards the cat and got her before she had gotten run over. She had sat on my lap once I let go of her and followed me inside. I knew she liked me, and luckily, I had a whole bag of cat food for some reason :-\. I had gotten two small plastic bowls to feed her. I guess she was mine. She didn't have a home, and she had taken a liking to me. "Hmm, what should I name you?" I looked at the kitten, whispering. I was going to go to get some supplies from Pet Smart. I had brought the kitten with me, for I didn't want her to get hurt. When I had gotten back, I had a soft cage along with cat bowls, toys, and other pet supplies.

    "Glad you got everything you needed" Oliver said, walking home with Miku, he had to get some supplies for James and he saw her at the pet store. He walked with her since he lived in the same neighborhood

    "Thanks." I smiled, going back to my house, carrying the kitten. "Snowflake, Perfect!" I said, putting a collar on the small kitten, then putting her inside. The kitten then curled up on a soft pillow sleeping. I left her to sleep, with a full food bowl and her scratching posts set up, and toys neatly organized.

    IC:I saw Oliver and Miku somewhere on the dusk grey pavement, aside the houses and the streets and decided to catch up with them as quick as possible, soon seeing Miku holding the pure albino kitten in her hands that she had just named Snowflake. Personally, I didn't know HOW she knew the gender, but I would have named it something unique. Like 白! Yeah! 白 Sounded cute! "Miku-San!" I exclaim out to the cyan haired female.


    OOC:The character "白" literally translates into "Shiro" meaning the word "White". :3

    OOC: I got that from a name generator XD and I dunno. Shiro sounds more like a male name to me :P
    IC: I went outside while the kitten was inside, sleeping. "Hey Len!" I smiled, waving to Len "What's up?" I said still waving to Len, looking back at the young kitten.
