OC: O.O That's a bit darker than what I had in mind, but okay, that works. Maybe he finds out, after he's taken Lyn as his mistress, that his wife isn't able to have kids, which gives him legitimate grounds for leaving her, especially if he married for that purpose. This character is going to be very . . . interesting. I think I know a couple books I could look back into for some inspiration.

Name: Lord Markus of Vanderbilt
Age: 29 (85)
Appearance: High cheekbones and a sculpted jaw make him distinguishable as aristocratic, also giving him a look of stark masculinity. His starkly muscled body is quite attractive, and would have some girls swooning at the sight of him. Piercing blue eyes and golden hair look strong and manly on him, not youthful and inexperienced. He's very tall at 6'10" and his Hawk form is a large golden brown hawk with long, cruel claws.
Personality: He was raised to have a very dominating, a very arrogant attitude towards life: anything could be his if he could just reach out and take it. This never led to him aspiring to the crown through illicit means, for he knew it would never work. It did, however, keep him from staying faithful to his wife. He only married for the purpose of reproduction, and he and his wife have yet to be successful. There is no love between the two of them, and that is a mutual understanding; their marriage is a matter of business.
History: His wife is good with numbers and is a quick learner. She's savvy and thrifty, which is why he lets her run the businesses of their family; besides, she likes doing it. He keeps their social connections strong and stable and maintains public reputation, which is a fairly good one. Nobody really knows how estranged they are from each other. Sh's confronted him on his infidelity, and he was honest about it, but he made it clear that and why she was not allowed to do the same. Things didn't go as well as they could have, and relations between the two of them are a bit icy at the moment.
Relationship Status: Married to Cordelia, a slight, pale, dark-haired, red-lipped, curvy woman with a dark-feathered hawk form. Sharp as a whip, clever, quick-witted, smart with numbers. Sterile, but they don't know it yet. He will soon begin an affair with Lyn, and later fall in love with her.
