I will try to get her to become a medicine cat, and even if she takes the path of a warrior she'll take an interest in herbs. Whatever path StarClan chooses for her, she will believe strongly in her warrior ancestors and strive to be the greatest she can, while making everyone around her happy. A few life lessons will be learned along the way, but she will always stay loyal to her family and her Clan. I will commonly refer to her as Americanpaw for the sake of simplicity throughout descriptions of appearance and personality. [/fancypost] |

Overview - Pelt - Build - Eyes Overview - Americanpaw is a small, lithe tabby with long fluffy fur. Her pelt is a soft light grey with striking dark grey tabby stripes. Her small paws have little fur tufts on the end, and have pink pads. Her eyes are a deep emerald green, and they sparkle with many secrets she will never tell. In most appearance aspects, Americanpaw is the opposite of her sister. Pelt - Long grey fur is a light grey color, like the morning mist before it is burned off by the sun. This grey, however, never fades away and if anything gets a little darker as Americanpaw grows. Of course, it never gets as dark as her tabby stripes. These dark colors match that of her sisters pelt; truly hers is a reverse of her sisters pelt. Americanpaws grey fur is long, and often scraggly with all her tromping about. She sits down every night to groom out the burrs that are apt to getting stuck in it. On the tips of her paws are little tifts of fur that no one is sure why she has, but are there nonetheless in a matching light grey. Build - Americanpaws long fur hides her small, lithe frame. She as always been a somewhat undersized cat, the "runt" of the litter. However, she is a normal sized cat and not at all the tiniest cat you'll see. No, she is the runt only because her sister is a mite bigger than her, and they were the only two of the litter. Her tail is long and winding, and very fluffy. Sometimes she flicks it into someone's face, and they then wonder if they are going to suffocate on her tail. They do not, of course. Small paws can reach into the tiniest of cracks, and she can often follow in with the rest of her, hiding in places one would not normally be able to hide. Eyes - What can I tell you about her eyes? Well, you will be happy to hear that she has two, and they are both fully functional. She has sharp night sight, and will be a good night hunter one day. She cannot see very far into the distance with just her eyes, but when aided by her super senses she gained as a kit she can see the world well. The color of her eyes is a startling deep emerald, that is to say green. |

|
Caring and shy - Americanpaw likes to hold her emotions close and not open up to others, yet her sister foils is all when she always seems to know how Americanpaw is feeling. This is due to their bond, so the feeling go both ways. So Librarypaw becomes the first this young cat confides in, and her mother a close second. Kin is everything to Americanpaw, and she'd do anything in the world for them. As she grows, Americanpaw learns to open up enough to have to have friends and soon has some close best friends to confide in and grow up with. This young cat loves looking after others, and makes a point to make others happy; usually before herself or for her own loss. Here are some lessons that will be needed to be learned later on in her life. Easily manipulated and trusting - Americanpaw is a very trusting cat, and can be easily manipulated. Traits such as loyalty and insight when caring for others can be good, but when others take advantage of this it can become problematic. Americanpaw will often try to take the blame for excursions that were truly her sisters idea, and will take on other cats' chores because they asked her to. Her loyalty to her Clan runs strong, and aside from harming the Clan or her kin Americanpaw will do pretty much whatever anyone asks of her, and will generally trust their judgment. This being said, when it comes to strangers Americanpaw is instantly on guard and even allies will take a while to thaw her wariness. As she grows, she will form her own thoughts and opinions, and even learn to voice them. Loyal, defensive and strong-willed - Aforementioned; loyalty means a lot, if not everything to Americanpaw. Her ties to her kin, her mother and sister, are the strongest, and her Clan loyalty secondary. While Americanpaw would do anything and everything for her family, don't take this to mean that Clan needs come after them. For a while Americanpaw will struggle balancing Clan duties and sisterly duties until she finds the balance she needs. But kin of Clan, Americanpaw will be honored to defend them. And one of the things she does most is verbally defend her Clan. If any one speaks out against them Americanpaw will give them a five send one shut up time before she lunches a verbal war rocket of her own. No one touches her family, and she considers all of TidalClan her extended family. ADHD and insomnia - Outwardly, Americanpaw is a quite, easy-going cat who can sit still for hours on end with never ending patients. And while Americanpaw has yet to lose her temper with a Clan mate, the rest is somewhat unfounded. Americanpaw hides her emotions well, but you'll often find her moving around if you watch her long enough. Catching mice, grooming, sorting herbs, talking with her sister, and all before Sunhigh. Her fidgetiness probably leads to her insomnia. Americanpaw can often be found out late at night, watching the stars and thinking about her warrior ancestors, in whom she holds a firm belief. Hubris - While it may not seem like it, for a long time Americanpaw believes she can do better than everyone else. She thinks she nows everything, and loves to teach others what she knows. When she's wrong however, she gets hot with embarrassment and often hides herself for a while until she's done burning. Into her apprenticeship, she realizes that she doesn't know everything and strives to correct this habit. |

| "Twin powers activate!" Due to the sibling bond Americanpaw shares with her sister, she is constantly feeling phantom pains and emotions. For the longest time, this confuses the kitten to the point of frustration. After realizing the bond the two share, Amy uses it alongside her telepathy to keep tabs on her sister, making sure she isn't getting into to much trouble without her. Having the power of her super senses lets Americanpaw see far away, and locate her sister when needed. However, when her senses first start to kick in the sounds and senses from all over flood the feline, a surprising agony that causes her to force herself to shut of the noise; inadvertently causing her to go deaf for a few days. Stumbling around in the world of deafness and confusion, the only sounds she gets is from her sister speaking to her by telepathy. For the time of her deafness, Americanpaw is absolutely miserable and in pain, locked away from everyone else until she learns to control her senses. "Don't step there!" This may replace "Let's dance." Just before becoming apprenticed, Americankit breaks a paw in an activity. Her apprenticeship is then delayed for a moon to allow her time to recover. On the bright side, she gets to leave the lighthouse so she can practice swimming. On the dark side it hurts, and she will forever limp because of this wound. "Lets dance." This may replace "Don't step there!" Where is Americankit supposed to be? Inside the camp, safe and warm in her den. Where is she? Out in the territory, alone. All she wanted to so was explore the forest. If anyone asked she was going to say she was collecting herbs for the healer. However, no one ever got the chance to ask. Before Americanpaw even knew where to move, she was picked up by large firm hands who didn't care how much she scratched them. Well they did, because after taking her to the vet the Twolegs had her claws pulled. A short yet miserable time as a kittypet has this grey kitten frightened out of her mind. However, when she escapes she finds the world inside the Twoleg nest was a lot more friendly than the the world outside. At least loving hands and warm food were constantly present, here the world is harsh and cold. By the time she returns home, with help if course, Americankit doesn't ever want to leave her den. "The dark is closing in." Americanpaw is constantly plagued with insomnia, and is often found wandering the camp at night. Unwilling to wake her den mates, rather then toss or turn Americanpaw will go for a walk, finding a window she can look out without disturbing anyone and watch the stars. Night after tiring night Americanpaw is unable to sleep, and she begins to have nightmares that enter her dreams when she does get a chance at sleep. Thoughts churning on undesirable things, the young apprentice will will sit deep in thought until the sun rises. "2am and I'm still awake." So much as happened to Americanpaw in her life, the plots above combines with unforeseen twist and turns and it's beginning to catch up with her. And a new fear has entered her mind; one day her mother will die. That thought frightens her more than the Twoleg nest. She loves her mother dearly, and now sticks close by as dark slowly creeps over her mind. All she wants is it keep her mother and her sister safe and alive. She often wishes for a father, and while she thought she'd come to terms with his death she now has another fear to add. She may be a warrior, but she'll always be mommys little girl. For a while Americanpaw wanders around in the dark, fearing for her kin. But with the help from those she loves most, she manages to pull past the dark and see the light again. I won't start planning her mate until I find a good male for her. The duo will at some point get into a big fight and not speak for several days. Being such close sisters, having this tear in their relationship is hard, but the reunion is bittersweet. [/fancypost] |
