  • Asyline looked at Demetrius as she bit her bottom lip. What should I do? I'm surprised that he didn't kill me right off the bat...... She sighed as she tried to struggle some more before concentrating and her dainty and feminine body was back with long brown hair and brown eyes that shone under the moonlight. "There. I shifted. Happy now Vampire?" She snapped as she growled at him.

  • Demetrius didn't say anything as "It" shifted into a "She". And it wasn't just any she; none other than Asyline Varg lay shifted at his feet and with a smirk the vampire tilted his head, "Well my shift just got more interesting." The vampire remarked and eyed the princess wearily as he approached her. The last thing he needed was to be bitten; but she wasn't in her wolf form so he should be alright. "If you start to shift or try to bite me- I will end your life here. Alarik wouldn't mind." The young guard drawled as he grabbed the woman by the forearm; rather carelessly.

"Now, speaking of the royals, stuffy bunch they are, lets go introduce you huh?" While it may of been posed as a suggestion, Demetrius had an iron grip on Aslyine's forearm dragging her through the darkly lit forest back to his horse. Motioning for her to get on before him the man smiled; looking darkly amused. "If you try to run, I'll kill you. You don't listen to me and you try to pick a fight- that won't end well for you either- got it?" As if to emphise his point Demetrius' hand went to the shotel at his hip and gave her a look that spoke to just how serious he was being. He didn't care if he'd picked up one of the royal brats or common scum; they were trespassing and Demetrius wasn't going to hesitate again to end her life.

Once Asyline was mounted on the horse, Demetrius swung himself up behind her and kicked the horse steering it towards the castle. He made no further attempts to talk to her; and was doing the best he could to not remark how disgusting it was to touch a wolf. Compared to the vampires they were just uncivilized brainless mutts; at least that's what Demetrius thought. Alarik would be pleased with this; Demetrius knew that there was to be an attack on Corthy; and maybe Aslyine's capture would aid the vapmiric side.

  • Asyline struggled against him, "No! Please! Don't make me go see your king!" She pleaded as she tried to get off the horse. Oh sh*t......No this can't be happening! If I go see the king, he'll surely kill me and wage a war against the kingdoms........

Markus was strolling along the gardens when he blinked and looked at Demetrius. "Hey Demetrius. Whatcha bringing that pretty little gir---" His words were trailed off when he locked eyes with Asyline.A-Asyline!!!! What.....Are......You......Doing......Here..... He shouted at her on his mind.DO YOU HAVE A F*CKING DEATHWISH?!?!

  • Demetrius snarled a low grating sound as he fixed the struggling woman with a glare. "If you keep moving I swear to Gora I won't even bother taking you to King Alarik. I'll just end your miserable existence right now." The guard threatened in a low and dull voice; sick of her already. Did she not understand that she was completely at his mercy and should Demetrius wish it this girl wouldn't even make it to the castle. "Too bad it wasn't your sister. I hear she has a mean punch. And she's worth more to us than you." He goaded with a smug expression.

He paused for a moment as he made his and Asyline's presence known to the gatekeeper; who hurriedly let them in. Riding in and grinning at the people he passed on his horse who noticed Aslyine the guard had hardly had time to steer the horse in the direction of the stables when a voice caught his attention. It was Markus, who must of spotted him all the way from the garden; a place he liked to hang out, and pausing Demetrius stiffled a groan. Niklaus was too soft and disappeared far too often; but Markus was only slightly better in his opinion.

Putting on a blank and respectful tone Demetrius bit back a snappy response; only to hear the brunette trail off into silence. To his amusement he noted that he gave Asyline a rather intent stare that bordered on incredulous and anger. This spiked his curiosity and tilting so she was in a little better view Demetrius grinned. "Oh this thing wandered far, far from home. Hmmm little princess?" It was mocking and cold, but the guard didn't care. "I'm going to bring her to Alarik." The guard said with a grin the moonlight glittering in the depths of his icy blueish green eyes. "Anyway, Alarik will be intrigued to hear what she was doing in our territory, so I'm off." With that Demetrius kicked his horse towards the stables where he dismounted and turned to Aslyine.

Without speaking he reached up and roughly grabbed her around the waist and unceremoniously dropped her to the floors of the stables with an air of disdain. "Lets go." His hand was still fastened around her wrist as the guard dragged her towards the main wing of the castle. After asking a couple servants he found that Alarik was still eating breakfast and discussing plans for Corthy with Niklaus. Without further ado the vampire ungraciously dragged Aslyine down the halls after him, keeping his eyes focused straight ahead. Once getting to the door he knocked once and opened it, tossing Asyline in front of him. "Looks what the wolf dragged in." Demetrius drawled to Alarik with a small grin.

  • Markus looked at the two as they rode off. "Oh Asyline.....You are seriously giving me a death wish...." He said as he looked into the direction yet went to and ran to the hall where his father is taking his breakfast, he knocked once before opening the door and bowing to his father. He glared at Asyline.

  • Niklaus fumed as Markus an Alarik had their spat; to which the prince stormed off after leaving him alone with his father. The two glared icily at each other for a few moments before the King began to speak about the affairs of the vampire's territory and taking more which only managed to anger him further. Rubbing his temples the blonde prince gritted out "Father, while I mean no disrespect- don't you think it's foolish? Attacks on Corthy have been tried before. They ended in starvation for our troops as they couldn't handle the harsh winters the wolfs can."

His voice echoed a patience he didn't have as his red eyes flashed with a dangerous edge that betrayed what he was truly feeling. Alarik wiped a bit of blood off of his mouth and fixed him with a glare that froze Niklaus' limbs. "Then what do you suggest son." The words were spoken with spite and malice to Niklaus' frustration. Keeping his calm and running a hand through his blonde hair the prince looked down "Maybe we should just leave them alone for now. The way things are going over there are getting worse and not better. So we shouldn't even have to do anything; save vampiric lives."

His father didn't reply just fixed him with a hard stare as if trying to pick apart Niklaus' true motivations for his suggestion. "Their queen is foolish and young. Youth leads to inexperience, therefore she's bound to mess up sooner rather than later. She doesn't have her mother's grace or father's temper and ambition." Niklaus recited coldly to act as if these words didn't sting him to say. His father opened his mouth to reply but was cut off by the door flinging open to reveal one of the guards... Niklaus thought his name was Damion or Demetrius practically throwing a slender girl to the floor in front of him. Concern for the unnamed girl's well being Niklaus' eyes shifted down towards her and his face froze with shock and fear.

He only half-listened as his eyes met with Asyline and the prince frantically tried to keep his calm. Of all the idiotic things to do! She was not Mila nor did she possess her sister's stealth and know of the land; or that he did for a matter. This was going to throw a wrench into his plans; should Alarik kill Aslyine and only aggravate the war that had been going on for thousands of years, or even use her in his Corthy plans Niklaus would have a hard time bailing her out. He wanted to question her now, but didn't trust himself to speak. Mila would be beside herself if something should happen to her and the prince could feel agitation and annoyance creep into his gaze.

Whatever her reason was it better be damned good. It would though, be interesting to see his brother's reaction to the capture of the youngest princess. Running his tongue over his fangs, a nervous habit Niklaus didn't dare to comment in this thick and suffocating silence; he would wait a little longer to question his father about what to do anyway. "Mila's going to have a conniption when she figures out this one ran off. If she had business here, she should of at least brought Mila." Niklaus though worriedly.

However, what could her business here be? Based on the reaction he'd got when he'd visited Mila to warn her of the upcoming attack; Asyline had nearly shifted and ripped his throat out then and there in the hallway. "Father... Perhaps we should let her go with a minor warning. It is after all the night of her sister's coronation. The wolves are convinced you share no mercy that other creatures hold; perhaps we should prove them wrong- for now." He paused flinching as his father's blazing eyes bore a hole in his head and almost timidly he continued. "Think about it if you show a great act of mercy like letting this one go- they will be so overjoyed they'll never see an attack coming." The prince pleaded with a surly tone trying not to glance at the princess on the floor. "I'm just glad it wasn't Mila. That would of been a disaster."

  • Asyline stifled a breath as she prayed to the gods above that Alarik wouldn't get her killed. She spotted Marous and his glare made her actually scared of him. She looked at Niklaus and was surprised that he was actually saving her. Wait...He was the one whom was at Mila's coronation.....

  • Alarik wasn't in the mood to deal with his delinquent children, although was surprised that it was Markus acting up. Niklaus was, wisely, keeping his mouth shut for once avoiding Alarik's gaze whilst Markus seemed to be stammering and hiding things to him. Eventually getting fed up with his second born's antics threw him out. "Enough Markus. When you feel like acting the prince you are you may join our talks for Corthy. Until then leave my sight." It was hissed with contempt and disgust and his red eyes barely acknowledged his son's departure; akin to that of a whipped dog. Now he turned his attention to his eldest child with a perceptive gaze.

He was unusually quiet, and brooding at his seat about some frivolous concern of his. Probably wondering if the humans had enough to eat; or if the werewolves were in pain that had recently been defanged and biting back a scathing remark the king cleared his throat gaining Niklaus' attention. "We're attacking Corthy in a weeks' time. In a week you and I must come up with a plan- a feasible plan, to attack and take Corthy as our own. I say we half of our troops to the Northeast, and then divide the remaining attacks from the other directions so that they are closed off." His silky voice floated about the dinning room as he took another leisure sip of blood from the human's neck.

"Unless of course you have a better idea." He goaded his son a bit, noting the fury in his eyes with a small flare of annoyance. However, the prince did raise a point. Perhaps it wasn't wise to charge right in; maybe the winter would be too much for them to handle. He wanted to question what prompted this change; this change to help him actually plan an attack on his precious wolves but refrained. "Mila is a young wench. She has no idea what she's doing and the wolves are already divided in supporting her." Alarik spat, noting his son's face going impassively devoid of emotion.

"I would have the whole family executed." He though grimly rolling his eyes before the heavy thick doors slammed open and startled Alarik turned to find one of the guards throw a girl to the ground in front of him. "And what has the wolf dragged in?" Alarik sighed getting to his feet and walking over to grab the brown-haired wolf. Grabbing her chin he forced it up to examine her face. Shock ran through his body before a cold smile tilted his lips up. "Why, Asyline Varg I believe. Oh right, where are my manners?" His soft and strangely accented voice floated through the air; reverberating with threat.

"We haven't formerly met before. I'm sure you've heard all about me. Perhaps as your mother cursed my name? After all I did drive a sword through your mad father's chest." A predatory smirk crawled over his face as he examined the girl. Not long after his sons intervened, as Markus slammed his dining chamber doors open. Niklaus was trying to cajole his father into letting the girl go. He put up with it for awhile before whirling on him with an irritated stare. "Niklaus you've been surprisingly helpful today; but I warn you to hold your tongue lest I pluck it from your head." His tone was flat as he got to his feet leaving the girl on the ground before him.

"Demetrius. My son raises a good point- we need to prepare for when we take over the wolves territory. Bring this princess to the dungeons, leave her there. In three days time I shall de-fang her wolf and then use her as a bartering chip in the taking of Corthy. Perhaps we will not have a bloody battle for that measly piece of land after all, huh Nik?" What concerned him was the girl was no longer looking at him, she was looking at Nik as if she knew him. However in her stare was mixed with a silent plea as Nik spoke up once more. "Father, while that is incredibly gracious on your part the wolves would not see it so.

They would revolt the second we took Corthy and that would just be added to their lists." The boy had a point and with a sigh Alarik waved his hand. "Fine. Put her in the dungeon until I strike a deal for Corthy." Should her family not deem Aslyine's life more valuable than the piece of land; then Alarik pitied the child. He had plenty of other ideas on how to take care of a Varg in his land; and none of them were nearly as benevolent as simply de-fanging and returning her.

  • Asyline glared at Alarik. I'll curse you till the end of the earth if I have too..... She thought as she looked at Niklaus and thanked him through her eyes. She felt herself being taken by a strong person as she was dragged to the dungeons. The man threw her inside the cage as she sighed, she blinked as she transformed into a wolf.

  • Niklaus hung his head and remained quiet while Alarik was speaking with Asyline. Speaking wasn't really.... correct though as he was more or less intimidating her. He wanted to intervene as he could see the girl's anger reflected from her brown eyes; but there was nothing he could do. Not for her anyway; he could prevent Markus from doing anything stupid. He stood still as Alarik threatened to de-fang the girl, though decided against it ultimately. "Mila, you and your family are going to get me into a lot trouble one of these days." Niklaus though with a head-shake.

Though he didn't have time to dwell on this as Demetrius was hauling Asyline off towards the dungeons. There was a deathly silence over the three remaining royals as Alarik eyed Markus with suspicion. Before his father could question his younger brother Niklaus spoke up first. "I believe that we had plans to go riding Markus." With that he crossed the room grabbing his brother by the arm and hauled him out of the room before Alarik could speak. Of course, Niklaus knew that Markus hadn't promised to go riding but the prince had put two and two together.

The way that Markus looked enraged and frightened at the same time Niklaus had a hunch this was the werewolf he'd snuck off to go see earlier. He didn't speak though until the two reached the safety of his chambers and slamming the door behind him whipped on his brother. "Is that the girl you were talking about earlier?" He felt free to bring up their discussion as no one ever came by his wing; and if they did it was rare. "Do you understand whats... You idiot!" The vampire prince seethed running a hand through his hair before reminding himself to take a breath.

If Alarik found out that his son fancied a werewolf, and not just any werewolf a Varg his sworn enemy not only would Asyline and Markus be in danger; so would Mila. A surge of protectiveness ran through Nik's veins and baring his teeth to emphasis his point the eldest son growled "Stay away from Asyline while she's here. Stupid girl.... I'll have to come up with something to smuggle her out." He was admittedly rather cross with the werewolf princess; if she could of just kept to her own lands than Nik wouldn't have this problem, the chance it could ruin his shot at becoming king if he was found to be helping Asylne. "What did she want?!" Nik finally demanded ruby eyes flashing with a dangerous edge.

He still didn't trust his brother enough to admit that he'd been working with Mila and coming up with plans to change everything. So he just crossed his arms glaring at his brother. "When she gets out you better not go near her. And I'm serious about staying away from her while she's in the dungeon. Or did you forget that father already threatened to cut your tongue out? If you don't think he'd get upset to find you visiting her than you're wrong." Nik's voice was flat and disassociated from the anger smoldering in his eyes. He'd have a tough time not only breaking Asyline out, but bringing her back to the wolves' territory and explaining it to Mila. Sighing he glared at his brother, and grumbled "Don't mess around with the princess Markus. It's not a good idea."
