OOC: Ok, thank-you. Make sure to read the rules and to let me know that you did read them, accepted Serena.
IC: Harvey raised an eyebrow as Mila stormed away, clearly upset about something. "Not my place." He murmured. "Asyline was missing as well, perhaps they had a little spat, or perhaps she was just stressed about the coronation. Either way, Harvey knew it wasn't his place. The only thing that was required of him was to guard the royal family with everything he had, and to be prepared to lay down his life if need be.
Harvey was wrenched out of his musings when a solider spilled his ale over his shirt, efficently soaking the young guard and with a sigh Harvey stood. "I'm going to change." He alerted the guards- not that any were sober enough to understand what was going on and at a swift pace the guard exited the Great Hall into a nearly deserted corridor- save for the bustling of a few maids. Nodding to them the guard crouched down, and focusing on shifting to his large black wolf began to feel his bones rearrange and shift.
It was over in a few minutes and in the guard's place stood a large wolf and shaking his fur off; picked up the discarded clothing from the floor. The taste from the ale was foul and the wolf growled softly under his breath; setting off for the guards' barracks. Unfortunately he had to go through the corridor where a mass of people were gathered all trying to get a good meal, something that didn't happen very often in
the Wolves' territory. After a few tail trods and good-spirited head pats, Harvey managed to get to his own room with only minorly bristling fur.Dropping the clothing into a corner Harvey shifted back to his human form, slipping into the standard Royal Guard regalia complete with his sword. "Well, I'm sure it won't hurt to enjoy the festivities for awhile." He thought and with an excited grin at the prospect of a little personal time, Harvey silently slipped out of his room and through the barracks to mingle and join the crowd that was massed in the courtyards.//
Mila, front and center in Great Hall was silently fuming to herself. She was angry that Niklaus had come, angry that she hadn't been able to meet with him without being undistrubied, distraught over the news of Alarik's plans and absolutely terrified that either girl would say something. Her sister hated vampires, this was a well known fact and one of the reasons that the Courts had thought her a better candidate for the throne. Her luminous greyish green eyes were narrowed slightly at the thought of what to do; and of all the scenarios running through her mind.
She could of course, just come clean to Jane and plead for her mother's help but Mila would not risk the progress she had made thus far. Feeling overwhelmed at what to do Mila did turn to Jane and was about to fess up when her own nerves overcame her. "When can I leave? Everyone's just getting drunk- I'm exhausted and I wish to retire to bed." Was what came rushing from her tongue, not a complete lie either.
The earlier scene had caused any desire for food to be blotted out and all the worrying the new queen was doing had caused her to feel rather exhausted. Putting on her best pleading face Mila stuck her bottom lip, pouting slightly with Jane. "I'll come down later, I just need to rest for now." And find Auden, Mila had to find Auden before she could even dream about going to retire to her room for the night.

Asyline clenched her fists at her sister as she turned around and walked outside. She love her sister with all her heart, she was her only family. But sometimes, she just trust people too easily. Especially the cursed Vampires. The council had at first chosen her to be the heir but they figured that Asyline was too young. She was only seventeen for god sakes! She sniffed as she shedded her golden and glimmering crown away and ran to the square wearing her brown cloak which she took from a maid. She stood next to Harley and sniffed as she forced the tears inside.
(Phew!)

Harvey had been enjoying himself, wrestling with a few of the Royal Guard members when a familiar scent drifted towards him. Throwing away his opponent and getting to his feet quickly Harvey clenched his fists over his heart and bowed slightly before noticing the scent of salt slightly diluting Aslyine's scent. "M'Lady?" Harvey asked, brushing the dirt from his tunic and standing up to face her.
"Here, come with me." He murmured soothingly leading her away from the crowds. "If... If I may be so direct and ask what happened?" The young guard asked keeping his eyes downcast, with a small frown. It wasn't his job to counsel the young princess, but he didn't want to leave the young girl in tears; that seemed cruel. While he may appear somewhat intimidating, when he wasn't fighting, Harvey was a rather empathetic young man. He couldn't help but wonder if Mila's anger earlier had something to do now with Asyline's hardly held back tears.//

Sweeping out into the halls Mila hurried down the halls, keeping an eye out for her golden haired maid.

Sirens was sitting next to her mentor of the Royal Guard. She could clearly remember the Vampires feasts, the coppery smell of blood, the constant low hisses and laughs as she walked around the tables.
**Flash Back**
Her hands were shackled with silver cuffs. The constant rubbing burning through her skin just for it to heal and be rubbed off again. The steel chains connected the shackles to the platter of goblets filled with human blood. Her hair was matted and her was covered in dirt, blood, and other substances from her cage. Numerous scares crossed her arms from them digging their nails onto her skin or whipping her for disobedience. Tripping over a foot the drinks went flying. Slowly picking herself up, muscles screaming from her torture session today. They grabbed her and led her off for punishment. The scent of beer and mead mixed with the blood is one smell she would never forget.**end Flash back**
Her hand gripped the base of her mug tightening until it shattered. Murmuring something about not feeling well she rushed out of the hall. Finding an empty room she slid down the wall and pulled up the hem of her tunic to see the bane of her existence. A scar ran diagonally across the chess and stomach region. A grimace of disgust crossed her face well most female Taurus do not make it past the age of 30 she thought spitefully So I guess I wont ever have to deal with children

Asyline pulled down her hood as she burst into tears. "Harvey.....Oh how I miss the days where you,Mila and me would just race to the hills as wolves and then slide down the hills as human with big leaves. I miss the time where Mila and I would steal food from the kitchens and have a sleepover in the living room. I miss the times where we all would stop thinking of.....The war....." She sobbed as her mature and cold facáde shedded to reveal a scared and frightened young seventeen year old.
-
Harvey stiffened as the young princess burst into tears and a small blush ran across his cheeks as she recalled their childhood. He was one of many children that played with the royals as his father protected their parents. He cleared his throat and awkwardly laid a hand on Asyline's shoulder. "Those days are but shadow now. We must look forward to the future as we grow older." The man murmured quietly in the near abandoned stables he'd led Asyline to.
Clearing his throat Harvey slowly raised his eyes, taking in her appearence "When Mila stole food, she was but a girl. When we played in the hills we were but children- time has changed that. I am now a guard- I've seen the horrors and blood of war, taken lives with my teeth and sword, created orphans and more hate. Mila has grown into a queen; she now knows the struggles that your mother tried so hard to keep from her when she was younger. She now shoulders weight of war, of hatred and fear; poverty and death. She's expected to be grown now and prepared for the role she's been dealt."
Harvey explained all this in a soothing voice, his blue eyes sincere and mellow. "We can no longer afford to be children. Here." The guard offered, pulling a rag out of his pocket and offering it to Asyline to dry her eyes with. "Now, whatever quarrel you have with your sister before you jump to rash desicions allow me to tell you that I've seen Mila's good and bad sides. Throughout all those sides she aims and desires to protect everyone- which at times can lead her astray. However she would never willingly put anyone including you or I at risk or in harms way. Whatever's going on perhaps all you need to do is talk to her about it- express your fears and doubts. Let her tell you why she is doing whatever Cressi knows, and maybe you'll understand. I know now however, what the problem is so I may be lacking in advice." He admitted with a small frown.
"Yet I will not pressure you to tell me what the problem is- this may be something that you just need to work out with Mila, who knows maybe she'll listen. However perhaps you should get all your tears out now yeah?" The guard asked gently, as he had always been with Asyline. With Mila he always played carelessly with her as children, but the two of them had always been gentle with Asyline, she was younger and in many ways not quite as strong as Mila even through she tried. "Come did you get enough to eat? This is the most food we've seen in ages. I hear the crops and livestock from Corthy this year is going to be the best we've had in a long while." Harvey stated warmly as a smile lit up his features, warming his blue eyes.
-
Asyline looked up at Harvey as her glistening brown eyes reflected her emotion. She then smiled and nodded her head as her lucious brown hair fall to her shoulders. "Do they have pork ribs with barbecue sauce?" She asked as her cheekiness filled her sadness. Her stomach growled within a minute.
-
Harvey smiled "I don't think they have the spices to make that. However I did see something I believe to be lamb." The man offered, with a small grin. "Anyway, I hope I was of council to you Lady Asyline and I'd be honored to escort you to the feast. I'm sure Jane is going out of her mind as neither of her daughters are at the coronation feast." Harvey noted idly, making his way back towards the Courtyards where there was music, dancing, feasting, jesting and people playfighting.
As they walked along Harvey smiled broadly at his companion "Perhaps you're getting a little of your wish M'lady. You can hardly tell there's a war going on as of now. 'Tis a pity however that this cannot last. Mila however seems confident that this war will end soon." He'd overheard her talking to the council one day and while it perplexed him, Harvey let it go.
He suddenly jolted and looked over at the young princess apologetically "How rude of me! Is there anything you'd wish to do? I will escort you so you need not fear about attempts." Harvey promised in that gentle manner the young guard seemed to always carry. "We shouldn't let fear taint this day." He sighed, more to himself than anything. It was times like this that the guard enjoyed, the wolves happy for once and a little free time allocated to him. "I hear there will be a scavenger hunt later." He mused with a small grin.

Asyline chuckled, "I hope so too. It'll be nice to go to the woods and chase a few rabbits and deers." She thought out loud as she shared Harvey's grin. "I do wish to try the lamb......" She said as she walked to the table with dainty steps. "I hope so too the mum doesn't know. She'll hang my head on her wall if she did." She joked. -
Auden watched as Mila retreated, dragging a fuming and half-shifted Asyline along with her. For a rather calm girl, Asyline had a surprising temper that Auden––and everyone else, really––often forgot about. Mila was usually the one thought to be rash and contentious, but most courtiers forgot that Asyline and the new queen shared their blood, and that temper came from somewhere. Asyline was just, if not more, volatile than Mila. That thought never ceased to amuse Auden; she enjoyed that even the perfect little princess wasn't as perfect as she appeared to be. Then again, in a castle, appearance was really what counted.
Listening to the vampire boy scramble to explain himself as she led him carefully through the castle corridors––warily avoiding any that were populated to evade questions––Auden had to stop herself from giggling. The fact that this boy felt that he needed to explain himself to her was what she found funniest. He had to know that her loyalty lay with Mila, one of the only people she could consider anything more than an acquaintance, above all else. She would never do anything to put Mila in jeopardy, and if that meant keeping a clandestine vampire confident away from court gossip, then that was what Auden would do. On the scale of secrets, it was a pretty big one, but with only four people that she was aware of holding knowledge of the two––with two of said people being Mila and Nik themselves––she didn't fear that the secret would get out, unless Asyline found herself incapable of keeping a secret.
Auden inwardly frowned as the vampire said his name; it sounded familiar among the higher vampires. Her earlier thought that he may be just a castle servant or a knight was dismissed; this was absolutely one of the more important vampires in their kingdom, she just couldn't quite recall who. She half-listened to his rambles about equality as she racked her brain for the answer, and when she finally realized who she led throughout the werewolf castle, she had to curl her hands into tight fists among the drapes of her skirt. She could now see why he would be so panicked about the secret getting out. Betraying one's kingdom was a capital offense for anyone, but if the vampire court found out that Nik was a traitor, he'd be put to death and made an example of to keep everyone else in line.
"M'name's Auden," The maid said with a smirk and a slightly sarcastic curtsy, her light, very northern brogue musical and teasing, as always. She took his wrist in her hand and began to weave through the small corridors of the servants' area. Then, she said in a quiet, sing-song voice, "Here we are. The dungeons." Then she opened the door that they stood in front of; it was not, in fact, the dungeon. It was the exit to a vegetable garden. A few servants milled around idly in the nippy air, but only a couple cast their glances at the pair that just emerged. "Keep your head down," She hissed quietly as she began to walk through the servants casually, Nik's wrist still in her hand. "If we're stopped––which we shouldn't be––your name is William and you are my cousin from the tavern." The lie popped into her head quickly as she walked, smiling at the occasional maid or guard that looked their way. Most were too drunk to care, and they made it to the forest's edge that bordered the garden with no problem.
Once the pair was out of eyesight or earshot, Auden released Nik's wrist and presented the forest. "I'm assuming you know your way from here." She looked up into the tall vampire's face, searching his eyes for any sign of dishonesty or reason she shouldn't trust him. Finding nothing in his surprisingly open red eyes, Auden sighed and gave him her signature grin. "Be careful, Nik. A lot of people are out today, and you don't want to be seen. Luckily, most of them are so drunk they won't remember red eyes from strawberries, but better safe then sorry." She tucked her arms around herself, her willowy body shivering like a tree branch in a wind storm from the frosty breeze. She had decided to waste no time grabbing a cloak and was paying for it now. "If you ever need to get in to see Mila like this again, for this type of emergency, use the entrance I just showed you. Walk up the first flight of steps that you see until you run out of stairs. Second door on the right is my bedroom, and I share with nobody. Wait there for me to come up, and I'll bring you to Mila. Introduce yourself as William, my cousin, if anyone stops you. You have blonde hair, and people around here are used to me breaking rules."
"By the way," Auden said, mischief dancing in her blue-glass eyes, "Nik isn't a very popular name among werewolves, mostly because it's your name." She winked once and began to walk backwards toward the castle again. "You'll want to be surreptitious if you come again, Prince. Not all are as good at keeping secrets as I." She nodded her head to him and turned around, rushing back to the castle, hoping to escape the cold as soon as possible. She didn't look back until she was shutting the door, her eyes doing a quick sweep of the forest. When she saw neither hide nor hair of Niklaus, she completely closed the door, running a hand through her gold hair.

IC: Mila could feel the anxiety clogging her lungs as she searched in frantic manner for her maid. Every castle that scuttled was irritating her as it wasn't the one she was looking for and the girl was half-tempted to slip to her room and change into her wolf to track Auden down. However, Jane had very specifically told her that unless it was an emergency that she was not to go and shift today. Part of her was extremely worried for Niklaus, as she didn't really know what was going on with him.
A defeated and weary sigh elicited past Mila's pastel pink lips and the girl cast her nervous greyish green gaze around the hall once more before an idea struck her. Perhaps Auden had gotten caught up in kitchen things and was with the other maids there. With a renewed purpose Mila strode past her subjects and courtiers until she reached the stairwell that led to kitchen, and taking the steps two or three at a time the petite woman quickly came upon the bustling room.
Weaving between people the girl smiled in response at the looks she received from the workers- ever since a child Mila always preferred to eat in the kitchen and would time to time lift food off of them. "M'lady I hope you're not here to eat. There's a whole great hall for that." One of the elder workers said with a wry grin which Mila returned. "Eat your food? No I'm looking for Auden have you seen her?" The elder woman's face broke in to a grin. "She's a sweet girl. I think I heard something about her cousin visiting..."
The raven haired queen nodded, and frowned "Haven't seen her though?" The cook shook her head with a sarcastic, dry scoff. "I can hardly keep track of you rug-rats. Much easier when you were but waddling about in diapers." Mila smiled and shrugged, softly dismissing herself. Amongst the sea of workers she had yet to lay eyes on Auden and with a defeated sigh, decided to go to her room. Perhaps Auden would seek her out.//
Harvey nodded as he sat down at the table. "A hunt would do these paws good." The guard admitted softly his blue eyes scanning her face worriedly. Asyline admittedly looked much better than when he found her, which Harvey was thankful for. "At any-rate 'Mam, perhaps I can escort you back to the feast? Maybe Jane then will only make you muck stables until the moon's end." He joked standing up realizing that he should probably get her back; especially if Mila had taken off. "Cressi help that girl." He thought with a little smile and a head shake.
-
Asyline chuckled as she stood up and walked to the castle. She looked around her and saw the happy faces I he guards and villages. Their smiles made a small grin crept onto her face. I wish it could be like this everyday..... She was so deep in thought tat she walked right into a stranger.
The stranger looked at Asyline, "Well.....What's a pretty girl like you doing here?" The wind made both of their cloak's hood down. Asyline blushed at the stranger's looks. Messed up brown hair that blew in the night's wind. His pale complexion is glowing in the moonlight. But what caught Asyline off guard is his red eyes.

Alarik growled under his breath as several advisors held their tongue. Their silence was infuriating and the Vampire King whirled, grabbing one by the throat. "I asked. A question." He hissed, fangs bared and red eyes ablaze. "Where are my sons, Niklaus and Markus?" No words were spoken, as they all shot weary looks and with a snarl of annoyance the vampire king snapped the advisors neck; discarding the body to the floor. Exhaling loudly he pointed to the listless body on the floor "Take care of that."
Alarik snapped, at a couple servants who scrambled to drag the body away. "How, do enlighten me, how am I supposed to plot to take over wolf territory- When both my sons are gone?! Feliks and Alexis are too young to understand the war fully. Niklaus is an adult, approaching ascending me, yet why is that I can never find him?!" He roared to his silent audience before one brave soul came forward.
"Sir... Sir I saw Niklaus leave late last night, and Markus early this morning. Neither have returned and neither said where they were going." Alarik just snarled in response, his three curved fangs glistening in the dull lighting of the throne room. "Find them." He commanded in a short breath, hurrying away towards his own chambers. Exhaustion throbbed through the King's veins, as well as paranoia. What was it that Niklaus did that so often drew him away from the castle?
"I'll hang that boy if I find he's consorting with the enemy." Alarik growled to himself, exiting the throne room. The King was nearly to his room when he ran into his younger son- Feliks. "Father. Niklaus left with a horse and no supplies. He was heading North when I saw him last. Markus was heading in the same direction- he seemed unaware that Niklaus had left though." The quiet, albino boy with the dead red eyes spoke in a chilling tone, to which Alarik sighed. Feliks was a sickly child, and while he may be harsh on his kids- he was surprisingly gentle towards the youngest son. "Thank you Feliks. Make sure to stay indoors today. It's cold." With that the king swept towards his room, slamming the doors behind him leaving him alone to his thoughts about his two elder sons.
OOC: Right, Static just so you know Timidskies and I decided to trade charries. I gave her Ella- I decided that I'd rather rp two vampires
just to clear any confusion and I'll send you my forms later, for my new vampire female ok? -
Niklaus relaxed as Auden, was seemingly ok with his presence. "Mila will need people like you to support her." The prince spoke gently, not wanting to alarm Auden though he doubted he could. The woman seemed hardly frightened of him; even mischievous to a point and Niklaus found himself enjoying her company a great deal. "I cannot say that your dungeons are worse than ours." He played along, pretending to be distressed as they exited into the vegetable garden. The clouds were dark, obscuring the moon for the most part and their gray cotton seemed impregnated with unfallen snow.
Drawing his cloak around him tighter Nik noticed that Auden who to his superior night-time vision looked rather cold, "William from the tavern. Cousin to Auden- got it." He promised and snorted as she began to walk away, informing him that the wolves tended not to name their children Niklaus. "Well I don't know whether to be pleased or offended." His ruby eyes glittered with humor and before she left Nik turned and caught her wrist this time. "Auden, please find Mila. Assure her everything will be ok- I have a plan." A somber look had crept into his face, and the vampire relased the young wolf looking thousands of years old. This war would be ending soon if he could help it and hurrying towards the woods, Niklaus didn't chance looking back.
"Yes. I do know the way back a little too well." He murmured to himself, hearing that Audrey had already left. The cold and barren lands felt isolating and the vampire was half-tempted to just... Not go back to the castle. Alarik, should he know that Niklaus had disappeared would be boiling with rage and Niklaus was sure to get into a verbal, if not physical fight, with him. The Vampire Prince weaved his way through the quickly emptying town square as people did their best to get into the castle walls for the feast, and most paid him no attention, and the ones that did were only cursory glances. For the briefest moment he thought that he picked up his brother's scent- but with a sudden change in the direction of the wind it was gone.
With a shrug Niklaus continued to the thick woods, where he had tied his horse to one of the trees- and to his relief found the blue tick gelding where he'd left him. "Hello Ajax." Niklaus greeted quietly as he untied the reins and then easily swung himself up into the saddle. "Alright. Let's go home." Niklaus murmured, steering Ajax towards the borders. He'd have to stop at the market and pick up bundles of herbs, so he could give the pretense he was out getting medicine for the humans. While Alarik couldn't be pleased that Nik was "coddling' the humans by taking care of their basic medical needs, he couldn't behead his son for treason by conspiring with wolves either.
The woods were quiet, save for the few crescendo of howls coming from further North emitted by the rogue pack. They weren't really the vampires concern though as Ajax galloped at a prompt pace. The sun would rise soon, and while Niklaus wouldn't burst into flames, it would cause physical pain and discomfort along with the reddening of skin. Yet he still had a few hours to get back to Hugtand, luckily for him it would only be about two hours until back home.
The hours passed by at a rapid pace and before Niklaus knew it, Ajax was bearing large bushels of herbs and he was dismounting at the stables only stopping once along the way back to wash off in a stream along the border so the wolves' scent wouldn't cling to him. The stable hand gave him a look and Niklaus grinned, "Alarik looking for me?" The hand seemed rather timid and nodded "The King has sent a squad out looking for you." Niklaus tried not to wince as the hand took the tack off of Ajax and got the brushes out to groom him. "Alright. Take care of my horse." With that Niklaus hurried back to the corridors of the palace with his herbs for the humans, with food hidden in the middle of the bushel.
In all honesty though, he should probably find Alarik and get whatever talks where going to happen over with. Stopping a few castle helpers, namely de-fanged wolves and humans, Niklaus learned that his father was resting in his rooms as of now. Handing the herbs to one of the de-fanged and terrified looking captured wolves Nik instructed that be brought to the human holding room and distributed before turning on his heel towards Alarik's chamber.
-
Alarik had been reading when his doors swung open, revealing Niklaus smelling of herbs and food. "Where the hell have you been?" Alarik snarled, using his vampiric speed to pin his son against the wall, red eyes flashing dangerously. Niklaus made a small choking noise, but otherwise didn't try to pull away; red eyes clashed on red eyes reflecting a deep anger and hatred. "Out gathering herbs for the humans. Their conditions are despicable and they're dying in their own filth." Niklaus spat, in his gratingly righteous voice.
"Now why in Göra's name would you leave without my permission to get herbs for the humans? They are our food! Not our allies, and moreover, convenient isn't it? That you've been gone the whole day and night on the werewolf's bit* coronation?" Alarik bellowed, his rich and deep voice billowing off of the walls. "You are next in line to ascend to throne, you best start acting like a prince or you'll inherit nothing from me but your head on a stake!" The King threatened, in a low, dangerous and predatory manner. Removing his elbow from his son's throat Alarik narrowed his eyes "Where's your brother?"
He noted the way Nik's eyes opened slightly with surprise, before it sunk back into a scowl. "I've not seen head nor tail of Markus." He seethed, fangs flashing in the King's dimly lit chambers. Alarik had half a mind to rip them out and sentence him to live a human life but taking a deep and calming breath refraimed. "You are useless. Get out." The king snarled, pointing to his chambers. "I expect to see you and your brother at breakfast tomorrow. We've plans to discuss about taking Corthy." With that one of his human servants walked in and began to usher Niklaus out.
Once the rebellious prince was gone Alarik sank down onto his goose-down bed and groaned. Where had he gone wrong in bringing that boy up? Perhaps he'd been too soft; yet he was stricter with Markus and he seemed to be following down Niklaus' path. If Alarik could have it his way he'd send them both off into the wilderness- claimed by no wolf or vampire. There were rumors of human villages, but Alarik didn't care to waste his time chasing rumors; besides they had plenty of humans in their territory. His mind though was plagued by thoughts of Nik's rule, something that often kept him awake at night.
No doubt by Niklaus' hands humans would have rights werewolves as well. He'd probably give the two races money and territories; spouting nonsense about equal rights. The wolves' would take advantage of his son's naivety, taking all the land until vampires starved, and humans would surely find a vampires weakness, and train to kill their former masters. It would be chaos and with a moan of despair Alarik shut his eyes; feeling that there was nothing he could do to stop his son from ascending unless Niklaus royally messed up over the next year.

Name:
Lisbeth "Lissie" Sophia ValenciaAge:
10 years oldSpecies:
Latent werewolf (she is incapable of shifting)Alliance:
None in particularAppearance:
Lisbeth ought to be very pretty––her eyes are a luminous green-grey, her tanned skin still unflawed by adolescence, her lips soft and delicately shaped, her hair tawny and thick––but a thick, silvery ridged scar slashes from the right corner of her mouth to her temple, distorting her features. Her thin, willowy body reaches just barely 4'0", petite for her age. A hint of sadness always resides behind her kind, puppy-dog-like eyes––a sadness not usually found in a ten-year-old's gaze. Lissie's smile, as rare as it may be, lights up her face and makes her seems lovely, even with the scar that will always mar her skin.Personality:
Extremely somber, Lisbeth is one of the most serious little girls around. Her laughs and smiles are few and far between, and she is never the one to crack a joke or tell tales of fancy. Her words are also limited, and she tends not to speak unless spoken to. She's more likely to just stare at you with her bright, solemn eyes. She comes off as rather shy, and hates meeting new people or being surrounded. But one thing Lisbeth does love is stories; she likes to spend her days listening to someone else's stories, and she never even feels the need to speak. She would read if she could, but nobody ever taught her how. Her secret wish would be literacy, though she knows nobody to teach her. Lisbeth would never raise her voice to ask anyone, besides.History:
Lisbeth never had a particularly wonderful life; her mother passed when Lissie was born, and her father––a blacksmith––blamed the death on the child. He spent most of her youngest days ignoring her, leaving the house before she woke up and returning long after she was asleep, and usually he was drunk by then. Lisbeth went along with this, since this was the only existence she knew. She never considered that fathers were loving people, or that little girls were meant to grow up with their mothers. But as she got older and showed no signs of being able to shift, her father began to pay attention to her, and not in a good way. He'd wake her up in the middle of the night, breath laden with whiskey, and shake her, yelling at her to shift, and she never could. On one such night, her father came home practically drowned in alcohol. His words were slurring, his movements were ungraceful, and his temper was livid. He took a knife to Lissie's face when she was unable to change, and then passed out. Lissie ran away while he slumbered, clutching a rag to her bleeding face. The next morning, Lissie met Auden for the first time, and the older girl found a neighbor to take Lisbeth in. But Lisbeth couldn't hide forever.Crush:

Well, her father. That's sort of it.Other:
So, my plan isn't to RP Lisbeth as I do Auden, in limited third person. I was planning on her being a side character that comes in eventually, and is sort of everyone's character. I've made about 152 sassy teenage girl characters, I figured that it was time for a serious little girl to enter the mix.

OOC: Thorn, you referred to Auden as Audrey as well! I did that about twelve times when writing this. I really need to pick my characters' names more strategically.IC:
Auden sat on a kitchen counter, sipping a cup of piping tea to warm up her chilled bones, humming a tune under her breath chipperly. A few of the other workers shot her accusatory glances, thinking that she should be working, but it was the unspoken rule that Auden was Mila's personal maid, and therefore had different duties than the others. Auden was, of course, the one that always hovered right behind the new queen; somehow, the job of caring for Mila had fallen to the blonde, and nobody was sure how it had happened, but many were glad that they did not have to chase after the spitfire maid, telling her to clean dishes and such.
Auden was just nibbling on a biscuit when one of the elderly head cooks rushed up to her perch, a disapproving frown on her face. The maid just grinned at Mrs. Mills as the women approached. "Drinking tea? Now? Auden, I knew your sense of importance was bad, but honestly! And I've told you a million times to stop sitting on the counter!" The woman pulled Auden off, pinching her arm in a good-natured punishment. "Her Highness is looking for you, besides, and here you are taking tea! I swear I don't know what I'm going to do with you. Go see to what she wants. And fix your hair. It's not proper for it to be down." Mrs. Mills was right about Auden's hair; the blonde locks, windblown from her time outdoors, was coming out of its bindings in earnest now.
Auden said a quiet expletive––which earned another disapproving look––when Millsy mentioned Mila. So caught up in her attempt to get warm, Auden had almost completely forgotten how frantic the prin–queen must be. Thanking Mrs. Mills for telling her, Auden rushed off to go find Mila. The cook yelled after her to pace herself and take smaller, sedate steps like a lady should, but despite the cook's best efforts to make Auden the least bit like a civilized courtier, the blonde maid saw nothing wrong with any of her actions, since she was not a lady. She raced through corridors, dashing by drunk partygoers who barely blinked an eye at her swift movements. She fully gave up on her hair, as she found it difficult to do without a mirror.
Deciding her best course of action would be to wait for Mila in her bedroom, Auden took a turn down to Mila's suite, hoping she'd have some time to do something that was the semblance of productiveness. Mila would have to come here eventually to sleep, so Auden knocked on the door, making sure it was empty, before entering. She walked over to Mila's vanity, taking one minute to pin a few locks of hair out of her face. While it was not up in a way that was appropriate, the maid wasn't worried that Mila would chastise her about it. They had much more to talk about. While Auden was clipping her extra pins onto her sleeve so she wouldn't lose them, she heard the door open, and knew immediately who it was. "Your Highness," she said stoically, turning to face the raven-haired queen as she entered.

Mila's head jerked up, as if an invisible string that was attached to the top of her head been been snapped. "Auden, please have a seat." Mila instructed, and while her voice was strong and steady she was near falling apart on the inside. The only indication of this was the way she seemed unable to remain still. Pacing back and forth Mila tried to formulate the words to say to the maid, one of the few people she considered a friend; and what Nik had already said.
The young queen took one, shaky breath as words formulated on the tip of her tongue. "Niklaus and I are... Are collaborating on how to end a war that's taken lives, so many lives. It's left our lands torn and bitter- and we're not sure that we can bridge the hatred that's... that's thrived." The queen's voice sounded truly weary, and she herself seemed to reflect the troubles she'd already seen in her few years. "If I keep waging this war, not only will it send me to my premature grave; Auden it will obliterate my conscious. I cannot in good mind not do everything that I can possibly to do fix this. And trust me Nik and I have talked about some rather drastic changes."
A puff of air rushed forth from her lips ending in a drawn out sigh. "Auden, I can assure you that Nik has no intentions of taking our territory or enslaving our kind. If he did I would fight him fang and claw; I hope you know that much about me." Mila murmured, finally coming to a standstill in front of her window, her greyish eyes seemed to scan the view that her window offered to her and she shook her head. "I will be damned if I cannot leave this place in a better place when I'm through with it." Mila's voice was heavy and somber as she flicked her gaze to her maid, trying to gauge what she was thinking.
"However. I can understand if you're concerned about this; but I will ask that if you have concerns talk to me. Please, Auden I am begging you- I don't know if he told you but Niklaus is Niklaus Kuolema, the heir to Vampire's kingdom. He can fix things- but you can see that this isn't a game. It is my head and his head on a stake if anyone should find out. Therefore I wish you would speak to me with any concerns and I will take them into account." The queen explained, in a last ditch effort to try to sway the maid to see that what she was doing, no matter how dangerous, it would be best in the end. "I don't think Asyline will say anything. I've forbidden her to in any case yet I'm not naive enough to think that will quell her for too long. I merely hope she finds some distraction." Mila murmured, her face paling visibly at the thought of Asyline telling the kingdom what Mila and Niklaus were doing.
OOC: Um, did Asyline run off or is she still with Harvey..?
