  • I may make a guy later if we still are uneven, but I'll wait and see if anyone else joins because I feel like a disaster when I attempt two characters.

  • OOC: I think we have enough to start. We've got royal family and a couple maids. I'll make a royal guard for the Vampires don't worry about it.

OOC: I just hurried along with this so we can start now! So, I was thinking that we could start off with Mila's coronation day, unless people had other ideas?

  • (Yup and okay!)

Asyline stood at the sidelines, her eyes wandering to her sister. Her eyes blinked worriedly as she gulped and played with her skirt. "Are you sure that everything is okay and nothing will barge in?" She asked Harvey with a worried look.

  • A blonde beauty swept through the castle like a whirlwind with dogs nipping at her heels, her dress––the royal colors, naturally––dancing and swirling around her ankles as she dashed around corners, a tea tray balanced precariously in her delicate, long-fingered hands. Her long hair was swept up carelessly, with curling tendrils falling around her lightly tanned face. Her quick-paced step was practically soundless against the castle's floor, but the light clanging of the china gave away her position. No matter how deftly she handled the tray in her grasp, there was no way the dishes quiet with her speed.

Soon, she arrived at a door that she had visited every day for the past however-many years she had been working at the castle. Balancing the tray in one hand, she knocked lightly on the door before opening. "It's Auden," She announced, her rich voice with its barely-there lilt of the North quiet, as she was unsure whether the princess was awake or not. Setting the tea tray down on the princess's writing desk, she began to sweep the suite in search of the princess. Her brow furrowed at the stuffy heat of the room and she walked over to one of the windows, shoving aside the curtains and pushing it open, letting the crisp, cold air fight back the heat for a moment. After a few seconds, Auden pulled the window closed again, leaving the curtains wide to let in light. She always complained of the dimness of the palace, wishing that more people would keep their curtains open.

Auden smirked when she found the princess in bed, slumbering peacefully. She looks so sweet when she sleeps, the maid thought with a scrunch of her nose, knowing that Mila was, though very kind, far from "sweet". She was outgoing and intelligent, but the raven-haired princess did not make it to the sugar bowl, that's for sure. She'll make a good queen. Auden was one that believed in the princess, because she had dealt with the girl every day for years. She had a good sense of right and wrong, and though the stubbornness worried her a little––as did the whole 'Being Related to the Mad King' thing––Mila was different from the rule that the wolves had prior, and different was almost bound to be better.

Peeling back another curtain to let in more light and checking that the fire in the hearth was crackling merrily, Auden began to sing a silly childish song as loudly as she could, trying to wake the princess, swapping out some of the original words so it would make sense. Rise and shine, it's your coronation day! Rise and shine, it's your coronation day! Rise and shine and get out of your bed, soon-to-be-queen." For good measure, she gave Mila a good shake, laughing at her song. Her singing voice was neither good nor bad. It just was. The maid brought the tea tray over to the princess's bed and rested it on the counterpane before sitting on the bed and giving Mila another shake, trying to rouse her.

"Come on Princess, you've had enough sleep for one night. You've got get ready. Do I need to get a bucket of water and throw it on you?" Auden threatened mischievously. She got up and poked at the fire before going and pulling out Mila's coronation dress from her wardrobe, where it hung wrapped in thin muslin. She took the delicate fabric off, careful not to cause any rips in the gauzy material, before laying the beautiful dress down on a chair. She touched the dress softly with one finger, admiring its beauty, before going to check on the slowly waking princess. "G'morning, Sleeping Beauty," she said, greeted by the view of Mila's grey-green eyes. "Ready to become queen?"

  • Finally, Coronation Day had arrived and Harvey couldn't be more relieved. The past month had been dedicated to rigorous training of hte Royal Gaurd, in case there were any attempts on the Royal's lives. There had been an odd mixture of aggression and excitment in the air as the day drew closer and closer, and now that it was finally here it seemed to be going as smoothly as these sorts of things could. A lot of people had flocked to the capital of the Werewolves' territory, Misark, to witness the event bringing whatever megar offering they could afford to give to the new queen. So far Harvey had been watching the youngest Royal, Asyline Varg which had been fine. She wasn't as slippery as Mila was who tended to run off when she got the chance to do Gods know what. There were rumors but Harvey had never really been one for those- instead he regarded the younger girl with a blank stare.

Polictics were not his forte and he'd preferred to stay out of them when he could, but at Asyline's question he searched for a tempid, ear-pleasing answer. "Things... Are as well as they can be. A few riots here and there. No attempts so far so I don't think anything is wrong. THe people seem to be egar about accepting your sister's rule and ready to put away the damage that was done by her predesscor." He manurvered carefully, from his spot beside the girl with a small frown. They were near the front of the castel's main chamber with a great view of the throne where Mila should appear at any moment. "If I know your sister she's probably gotten into some last second trouble is all." Harvey murmured, keeping his eyes downcast in a display of respect for the girl who was ranked furhter above him.

The chambers were abuzz with chatter, some good, some bad, but mostly people were looking forward to the feast. Usually the feast was reserved for those ranking only in high positions but this year to show her good-will towards the people Mila had opened it up for everyone. People had been coming to the castle for the past week with donations to the kitchens for this, and spirits were unusally high amongst the peasants. Harvey himself was looking forward to this, even though it called for extra security measures to be taken. "Ah, here she comes now." The guard informed as the chamber fell into a dead silence. First Jane would come down the chamber, dressed in her full royal regalia, crown, scepter, and then go stand beside the throne. Mila would then come, and the symbolic passing of the crown, and scepter would be carried out- Mila would take an oath, sit upon the throne, maybe give a speech and the coronation would be over. "Anyway, shouldn't be too long now." The guard reaffirmed, turning a stiff and serious eye back towards the crowd as was expected of him.//

"Arrrgh." Mila moaned as some Gods forsaken force shook her and wriggling under the comforters stayed there for only a moment before she rather ungracefully slid out of her bed. "I swear I'm only doing this once." Of course she'd be going through her coronation once, but later she'd be going through her son or daughters a sobering thought for the young queen. "Besides, is any truly ever ready to rule? I merely hope I can govern our people in a manner far different from my fathers." The young girl quipped, sliding into her dress with the help of Auden.

Even from her room Mila could hear the buzz and chatter from the people that had gathered for the big day. "There must be a lot of people. I hope not to disappoint them." The petite woman sighed as Auden played with her hair, something that Mila really would preferred down- but her mother would of thrown a fit. Jane went to a lot of trouble to make sure her daughter was "presentable" today. "Well shall we get this over with?" She asked her favorite maid as she finished with helping Mila get ready. The dress was large and heavy and really she could of gone in her simple tunic and leggings, but as of now there was no going back. "I think we've kept them waiting long enough. You'll be there right Auden?" She asked suddenly anxious at the prospect of going through coronation without the closest thing she had to a friend- well a werewolf friend yet that was a long explanation.

She wasn't really given time to answer as a guard walked in and ushered her out of her room and silently Mila walked head held high through the corridors she gracefully descended the steps that led to the room her coronation was being held. Many people packed the hallways, quietly watching her with respectful downcast eyes. Later there would be time to meet her subjects, and celebrate but for now Mila walked into the great hall that her coronation was to be held in. Her mother was already waiting at the end of the hall, near the throne standing stiff and proud with her royal regalia and she could make out her younger sister and the young guard Harvey towards the left of the throne.

Her steps were careful, measured and even as Mila closed the distance and nodding subtly to her mother sat in the silver gilded throne encrusted with a few jewels that caught the light of the window behind the throne as Jane cleared her throat. "Nice of you to show up." She said dryly, under her breath with a small subtle smile and Mila shrugged. "What can I say, this may be the last good night of sleep I get in years." The soon to be queen breathed back, her lips hardly moving.

  • Asyline sighed as she slumped her shoulders. The mature facáde she put made her looked like a 25 year old but she let it all lose and made herself look like 17 again. "Yes. She wouldn't be Mila if she didn't. Though." She leaned closer to Harvey. "I'm betting 50 coins that she's going to turn into a wolf."

  • Jane cleared her throat at her daughters chattering with the guard, they were supposed to pass this time in silence and with her heightened hearing Jane could easily overhear the two. "Just because your sister's a little late doesn't mean she's gotten into trouble. The girl may be reckless but she's not stupid; she'll not shift in the middle of her coronation unless there was an attack. And even Alarik isn't that dull." Jane huffed, masking her worrying with fretting over Mila. Today was an occasion that brought mixed feelings up within Jane; sorrow that her child would have to bear the weight of ruling, pride that she was able to, and a deep reluctance.

This was one of the things she could do to protect Mila and Asyline, and also one of her last attachments to her late husband. However, much too soon and far too late the doors banged open and there Mila stood, causing a smile to light up on Jane's face. Her daughter was the picture of sophistacted grace and elegance as she lightly tread down the isle and once she reached Jane smiled, just a subtle twitch of lips before sitting down in the silver throne. "Glad to see you could make it." Jane murmured, with a hint of dry humor to which Mila responded in a manner like-wise. Eyes bore holes into the back of Jane's head as the woman gracefully removed the crown from atop her head and ever so carefully fitted it upon her daughter's silky, ink colored hair.

"With this I bestow upon you the weight and responsibility of the kingdom. Our fate, people, and resources all rest upon you. May you make wise choices my Queen." Jane spoke in her beautiful and melodic voice so all gathered may hear. "And with this-" She held the scepter out which Mila took carefully as one would a newborn, "With this I grant you you my good-wishes, may our God and Goddess always light your path. May the moon shine favorably upon your rule and may the hunt be plentiful wherever your paws may bring you. I pray that your health be ever strong, and your wisdom abundant like the frozen waters of the north." Jane finished her speech, eyes shining with a pride that welled forth and turning to face the crowd gave her last command as queen.

"Bow to your new queen, accept her rule. Place your trust and faith in her as I; and know that she holds her subjects best intentions at heart." Jane spoke loudly for the chamber before she regally sunk to her knees, bowing to her daughter. It was nearly over now, all Mila had to do was give her own speech, accept the crown and the banquet should begin. It would a royal mess, that's what it would be as her daughter was insistent that all have a place at their table that night; something that Jane hadn't really been all that surprised about.//

Ella stood where the maids were designated to stand, watching the ceremony with an air of disdain which was hidden under and emotionless face. Maids and severs alike were whispering what a wonderful speech Jane had given and how regal Mila looked- which was really a first. The girl was normally dressed in garb similar to the guards and carried her own sword, something pretty unheard of. Today though the raven-haired beauty was nearly a different person and with a sigh Ella looked at her feet. During the feast, which on average went on for about two days after a coronation, Ella would have enough time to report back to the vampires about the affair.

Even if no attempts had been made yet- Alarik had wanted to know how the wolves reacted to Mila's rule. Was she a traitor? Absolutely, and Ella would be beheaded if anyone found out. However she knew forces were brewing within the vampire's court that would destroy Misark, and the rest of the territory the wolves had left; and the king had promised her safety and protection in return of her information. However once commanded to bow Ella reluctantly bowed along with everyone else in the chamber, and was one of the first to stand again; now all that was left was for Mila to accept the crown and the feasts would commence, something that she and the other maids had been worked to the bone to prepare.

  • Harvey murmured a quick and silent apology, and worriedly kept his hand on the hilt of his sword. When the doors banged open revealing Mila, the guard relaxed visibly "Good, she's not run off or died." He though with a small smile as she approached, but it quickly died away as she ascended to the throne taking a seat and staring out at the crowd with large and somber eyes. It was rare to see her so serious, usually her head was tilted back in laughter, or her face contorted with rage as she struggled to calmly get support for one of her "for the people" plans she wished to set into motion; and the dejection when they were shot down by the pompous council who was convinced that they needed more aggressive war plans.

The chambers fell into an entranced hush as Jane began to speak, and Harvey must admit it was wonderful. The queen had an eloquence with words that captivated her audiences. Once she was done and Mila wore the small crown, and held the scepter Harvey sank down onto one knee and crossed a fist over his heart- a more traditional way of bowing to one's superior.//

Mila put on one of her more serious faces as she took a seat in the throne and stared out at the chamber. Everyone's eyes were on her and for a moment she felt panicky. Was she really ready to rule a kingdom? Mila could hardly get the council to take her seriously- not that she technically needed them, but she didn't want to be deemed a tyrant in the eyes of her people. Ruling, her mother once said, was a series of games and the queen merely had to know how to acceptably tear apart her opponents.

Once Jane had sunk to knees to bow to her daughter, Mila trembled in her seat for a moment before getting to her feet. "With this crown I ascend to throne, therefore accepting rule over the Wolves." Her voice was soft at first and nearly inaudible as Mila struggled to speak as her mother had. "I swear to you by our Goddess Cressi, I will do my best to lead the people into a time of prosperity and wealth. I swear to do my best to bring safety and fulfillment to the people." At this her voice had gained strength and Mila, motioned for the chamber to rise. "I swear to protect the people and their interests- now rise."

It left thrills racing down her spine to give her first command, something that mingled with the great weight of responsibility. People were quiet for a moment, not a good sign, until a chorus of howls and cheers broke out from among the hall and then the chamber. A relieved Mila sighed, a sound masked by the cheer of the people, and she stood there waiting for them to fall silent. "I would like to begin the feasts, and this year all are welcomed, do not all crowd into one room however. There are several rooms dedicated to dining and the courtyards are also serving food and beverage. I thank you all for accepting me." Mila stated with a relieved smile.

Sitting back in her throne Mila knew that she'd have to talk to a few subjects, thanking them for accepting her rule before she herself could attend. "Harvey, make sure my sister and mother are watched at all times. Do not lose an eye on them." Mila murmured to the young guard as the subjects began to approach. Turning away from him Mila smiled as they began to swarm her, welcoming her warmly and congratulating her; which wasn't as bad as Mila though it'd be.

  • Niklaus glanced around Misark, the werewolves' capital and frowned. It was clear even here how much poverty the war had dealt to them and drawing his traveling cloak a little tighter around his lean frame Niklaus shuffled in with everyone else. So long as he kept himself discreet and drew little attention to himself the vampire prince should be fine. The guards weren't looking for vampires, and even if they were Niklaus had already had his fill of blood before setting out on the journey it took to get from his capital, Hugtand. The pale man shuffled through the crowds keeping to himself until he reached the chamber.

It had emptied quickly at the prospect of the food that had been prepared, yet there was still a little crowd around Mila. He waited until the crowd dissipated and Mila herself was ready to rise. A few guards clustered about her and with a grin Niklaus strode towards the throne. This was one of the boldest things he'd done, but he wanted to congratulate her himself, in person. The two were familiar with each other, and they often traded information with the mutual intent of ending the war. They were both next in line for their respective thrones- Mila obtaining hers' today and Niklaus was sure he would ascend soon enough.

Through their meetings the two had become an odd sort of friends, Niklaus bringing food, medicine and refugee humans to her; and Mila giving the humans a safe-haven. Wolves didn't treat humans the way vampires did, which was despicable, but pushing those thoughts away the prince knelt before the queen on the throne. "I've come to wish you good health, a prosperous rule, and the hope to end this meaningless war." Niklaus stated and glancing up could see the shock on her face. However she forced herself to be impassive as she answered him the blonde prince noted with amusement.

  • Mila had been done with the greetings, until a straggler came to greet her. Assuming it was another one of her subjects Mila plastered on her bright and warm smile, while in reality all she wanted to do was eat- until the voice reached her. She knew that voice, she also knew that voice did not belong here. She knew her guards were watching her carefully and internally Mila did her best not to panic. If they should catch Niklaus for coming, it would not only be his head, but her reputation. Biting back a growl of anger the girl could see how smug he was and looking at her guards smiled sweetly.

"You're missing the feast, go ahead. I am far more than capable of protecting myself." The guards exchanged glances and frowns and Mila restated her request in a more... stern voice. "As your queen I am able to judge when I am in danger of a simple peasant. Go, I wish to aquatint myself further with my subjects. I will join you in the feast when I have more proper attire." The guards gave her one last look before nodding, and one even glaring at the cloaked figure of Niklaus at her feet. "There'll be someone around. Scream if you need help." Biting back a sarcastic remark the girl just nodded.

However once the guards were gone the new Queen's composure disappeared as Niklaus rose to his feet, completely dwarfing her. "What in Cressi's name do you think you're doing?! Do you want to die?! If this is about our arrangement it could of waited until tomorrow, you know when I wasn't being watched under a microscope." She hissed at him, baring her fangs to demonstrate how angry she was. The wolf scratched inside her head, snarling at the prince's stupidity. Mila covered her face with her hands and groaned at this unplanned stress.

"Its not that I don't want you here Niklaus but this is a bit much. You... You and I we really only meet for supplies and information what is this all about?" She demanded pacing and throwing a hand to gesture to herself. "What happens if they catch you? Hate to break it to you but werewolves don't have red eyes. That's a dead giveaway, did anyone see you come in here?" She fired questions at him in a rapid manner, in a low and hushed tone in case any wolves were nearby. "You just- follow me." She spluttered, before giving him a chance to cut in edgewise. "Your father's going to wonder where you are." She stated leading the way out of the now empty chamber and smiling at the people who passed.

She was while angry, also a little appreciative that he'd come, no matter how stupid. It was in her opinion a good show of his wililngness to work with her and help bring peace back to the land. "Well, if it had to be a vampire I'm glad it was Niklaus." Mila thought with a small smile. "I don't.. I don't know where to hide you. I mean people are in and out of my rooms all day and the rooms are all in use as the feasts... Did you really have to come?" She sighed, rubbing her temples. "They're going to be looking for me really soon so wipe the smirk off your face and help me brainstorm."

  • Niklaus prepared himself for a lecture once the guards were gone and to his credit remained quiet throughout most of it. It wasn't until she started talking about shoving him into a closet he interviened. "I came, because I wanted to. It's not everyday a queen is coronated and I really wanted to see how werewolves do it. I mean with me it's going to be some stiff and boring oaths that I have to memorize and repeat and just... A headache." The vampire said, leaning against one of the castle walls.

"Besides I think you've forgotten that I pretty much come and go at the palace as I like. Until Alarik can prove that I've been smuggling humans out, he can't touch me." That wasn't entirely true, but Niklaus didn't think she needed to know that. "And I couldn't wait until your coronation day was over, I come bearing news I felt best delivered in person." This had Mila's attention and the girl frowned, looking somewhat worried. "Corthy. The vampires are about to storm Corthy within the weeks end." Niklaus warned, casually acting as if it didn't bother him so much.

Corthy was rich with some of the last of the wolves' farmland and woods- the vampire believed they could starve the wolves' into submission. "You may also know this but Alarik knows you've ascended. He plans to exploit your inexperience against you- yet don't' worry. As always I shall be there to guide you through troubled waters." The vampire joked, glancing about the seemingly empty hallways. "Also, don't trust anyone. I don't care if its' your own sister. There's a mole here, a mole that knows a lot of things." He smirked as the anger faded away from Mila as she realized that he'd endanger himself to try to save her kingdom.

"Don't feel so bad. And don't worry so much, it's your big day! Smile." He said in a somewhat mocking tone knowing it'd get a rise out of the raven haired werewolf. The sound of approaching footsteps scuttled by and Niklaus, with his quick thinking, sunk to his knees. "Thank you queen, for hearing my story. My family thanks you, you've saved us from starvation." The maid, or she looked to be a maid hurried by without interrupting the pair as Mila floundered for an answer. Once she was gone Nik got to his feet and brushed his knees off. "But as far as Corthy is concerned, it's going to be a big attack. Make sure that you're prepared. I'll try to bring by medical supplies next time I come. And as for brainstorming don't worry. I'll find some back exit or window to sneak out of." The blonde soothed hoping that she'd be able to go about the rest of her day without worrying.

  • Auden watched from the corner of the room as a young man approached Mila, obviously familiar enough with her to be unhesitant with his stride. When Mila sent the guards away, Auden was sure that she was supposed to leave as well, but she couldn't tear her wide blue-eyed gaze away from the scene that was unfolding before her; the new queen, talking to what was surely a vampire. She saw the red glint in his eyes, something that was not a feature of any wolf or human alive.

She drew closer, careful to stay unseen in the shadows, her curiosity getting the better of her. She began to twirl a lock of her hair with her hand absently as her gaze drilled into the pair. It was obvious, by their cautious looks and surreptitious demeanors, that they were not supposed to be meeting, and did not want anyone to know. Whoever he is, he's taking a big risk in simply being here, if he wishes to go a secret. This place, with all its courtiers, is a gossip hub. There will be seven different rumors about him and Mila flying around by tonight. Then another thing occurred to Auden. I wonder if this is who Mila goes out to meet when she disappears.

The words 'attack' and 'vampires' drifted to Auden's ears as she tuned herself into the conversation. When the vampire boy said Corthy, she had to physically bite her tongue from letting out a gasp. Corthy had been very far from her village, but her father had gone down there once a year to trade, right before the worst of the winter would hit. Auden remembered the year that he had taken her there, letting her experience the shocking warmth of the sun on her skin, contrasting greatly with the harsh nip that always hung in the North's air. She clenched her hands tightly at the mention of Corthy being attacked, so tightly her nails dug into the soft skin of her palms. But she also wondered through all the nostalgia how this man knew of the attack. It wasn't like the vampire king advertised his plans to the populace––though, if he did, she wouldn't know anyway. Along with his mention of slipping in and out of the palace, Auden figured that this man was probably a servant to the royal family.

As Asyline approached the young man, Auden walked out of the shadows, pretending like she hadn't been listening at all, her step bouncing casually. She shot a glance over to Mila and walked toward the trio, plastering one of her stiff, fake smiles on her face. "If you're done, Queen," She said, eyeing the vampire with her customary disdain for newcomers in her eyes, "I'll walk him out. Unless, of course, he'd like to stay." Her lip curled ever so slightly at the thought.

  • IC: Mila paled at the thought of Corthy being attacked, it was considered the wolves' last stronghold and if they lost it... It would be more merciful for Mila to just surrender to Alarik rather than let her people starve. A low snarl escaped her throat and the new queen felt overwhelmed already by the prospect of a large war. She wasn't even sure they could afford a battle, and Mila knew she'd have a tough time explaining how she even knew this information. To make matters worse her sister's voice appeared and Mila closed her eyes.

"Asyline." She spoke her voice cold and stern, "As a command from your queen you are not to harm my informant. Stand down." Concealing her shaking hands by clenching them into fists Mila turned to Niklaus, when her maid also appeared. Mila cursed herself for meeting with him in a hallway, but there wasn't much she could do now. "Thank you for letting me know about this. I'll take care of it, bring some humans if you wish next time along with whatever supplies you can manage. Auden will show you out- afterwards I'd like to speak to you Auden?" Mila said in a calm and serene tone though she felt nothing but. With that she grabbed Asyline's arm and began to pull her towards the feast, preparing her speech.

The new queen stopped once the other two were out of earshot and whipped around facing her. "As a command coming from your Queen, you are not to breath a word of this. There are forces going on right now you could not possibly understand. Once Nik ascends to throne this war will be over very, very soon but his situation is... Complicated." Mila explained, worriedly pacing about the hall in front of her younger sister with a terrified expression. "His brother is also a... more desirable choice for next king, but Nik was born first thank Cressi." Softening her voice Mila turned to Asyline with a small frown.

"This war has claimed thousands, if not millions of people throughout the centruies. I have a chance, a shot no matter how dangerous, to end it. Isn't that what a queen is supposed to do? Find peace for her people? Stop war and poverty and protect them? Isn't that what I promised, swore to them in that chamber? You know a wolf's word binds her, especially a queen Asyline." Mila sighed looking down. "This war has taken our father, innocents and children. I do not care what your opinon of me is- I will end it with whatever means I see fit." Mila asserted in a much firmer voice.

"Now, lets go back to the feast. Nothing is wrong so don't let on. Don't tell mother or any council members- this is an order and as your alpha and queen you need to obey it." The elder sister growled, pulling the alpha card reluctantly. "I'll be giving the same speech to Auden later but... Asyline they're not all bad. Nik's not a bad person and I hope you trust me enough to know that I wouldn't deal with him if I thought he was a danger." The queen murmured before sweeping into the hall, leaving the younger one behind.//

Harvey was seated with the rest of the royal guards, who seemed to be already drunk. "Classy." The guard thought with an eye roll and taking a sip of his half-finished ale looked around. The queen had already been absent for awhile even though the guards assigned to her were back. "Where's the queen?" Harvey demanded turning back to her guards who looked at him and explained she was meeting with a peasant.

Harvey sighed and raised an eyebrow "You left her alone?" They grumbled excuses and turned away from him and back to their own conversations. The blonde got to his feet and was about to go search for her when the queen herself strode in appearing unharmed. Relieved Harvey hurried over to reprimand her for running off, he caught a rather potent whiff of fear and stress wafting off her normally cheery emotions. "My Highness? What ails you?"

Harvey asked instead, his voice soft as she turned her dark eyes upon him. "Nothing. Go back to feasting." She said shortly and quickly made her way to the table that had been set in the front of the room for her where Jane was already situated. This was curious, since the two had known each other they'd gotten along pretty well- and she usually came to him if she had a problem With a frown the guard wondered what could of possibly happened as he went back to his group who were still jesting and laughing rather loudly.

  • Niklaus was about to bid Mila goodbye when two girls approached them. He knew one of them was the younger princess, Asyline, though was unsure of who the other was. Was it one of the maids or guards that Mila had talked about before? He didn't really care because right now these two had the power to ruin everything. Everything that he'd worked so hard for, for peace a better life equality for all living things, and the most bone-rattling thought of all, they decided his fate.

His father wouldn't hesitate to behead him for treason, and would rejoice that his throne could be passed to his younger son. "Of course." He murmured lowly looking away from the half-shifted Asyline to the seemingly calmer blonde girl. "I will." He promised and with a feeling of dread began to follow the one she addressed as Auden. Thoughts swirled around his head and Niklaus cursed himself, did he really have to come today? Perhaps Mila had a point when she'd begun to lecture him- though the prince slowly began to realize that he didn't care.

Corthy was something the wolves sorely needed; without that they'd likely perish and the vampires would win the war. Niklaus could only picture all of the death and destruction that would entail to wolves and humans alike; not to mention the vampires that would die fighting his father's battles. If he was ousted for his treason than so be it; it would help Mila and balance the sides once more. "I... I don't threaten." He spoke up, softly as Mila hurried away with Asyline and kept his eyes down casted. He knew from his talks with Mila that was a sign of submission and the prince really didn't want to piss this girl off.

"Your queen and I, I only aim to help. Madness and death is what Alarik's rule would entail. I can't have that resting on my shoulders." He explained, in a quiet and meek tone. "They've always joked I was born to be a wolf. But I disagree, I'm content with being a vampire; I do however believe in bringing peace to everyone. Humans shouldn't have to fear the fang of a vampire, and wolves shouldn't have to continue this bitter war. Vampires shouldn't fuel this belief of being above all others after all; our religion is rather similar. The only difference is Göra created everything opposed to Cressi. Either way, no matter who created what we're all here together. We should at least try not to tear each other apart."

The vampire mused quietly to the girl, perhaps it was an attempt to win her over, but Niklaus felt he should at least explain himself. "I guess, what I'm getting at is that Mila and I are trying to do the right thing by all species." His ruby eyes glittered in the dim passageways as he followed Auden. "I don't think I've properly introduced myself, I'm Niklaus. I just prefer Nik though." He wasn't sure what she was thinking and honestly Niklaus found himself rambling so he wouldn't have to know. Should either girls elect to say something, It'd be his head on a spike and likely Mila's as well; he wanted to prevent that from happening.

  • Asyline clenched her fists, she breathed a sigh of anger before she looked straight into Mila's eyes and bowed. "Yes. My......Queen." Her temper showing.
