Any tips for a first time fic writer?

    Hello, I've decided to get into writing fanfiction, since I've come up with a few ideas for some. I was wondering if someone could give me some tips on how to write good fanfiction, the process, or what to write for your first fanfics! I'm planning on writing hetalia fanfiction in case you want to know what type!

    1. Dont put yourself in the story and make a character from the thing your writing fanfic on date you


    I hate these fanfics they are annoying.


    2. Its okay to make orginal characters and items just dont stray from the plot (example: if your writing about pokemon dont go off course and make it about something else)


    Some times people stray off and make it nonsense and then make it crazy


    3. Dont rush things to quickly


    Example:a girl crushes on a guy then they get in a relationship then she gets pregnant in 1 month

    Thanks! I really hate those stories too when someone puts themselves in the story and a character dates them or such! I'll make sure not to rush things!

    Try to pratice until your good maybe participate in roleplays about the thing your fanficting about. You can get ideas for roleplay like ocs, plots, and how to describe things and how they should be written

    I'm going to be writing a hetalia fanfic, because i've been watching the show for quite a long time now and have read a lot of fanfiction from it, that I decided why not give it a shot at writing a fic. It's going to start off as a friendship fanfic, but eventually go to romance.

    Moon has a point. After the first few paragraphs, your now mated main protagonist has kits. It takes time.


    I have a few things to add. If your going to try to write one, see if you have time to finish. I always have problems with this.


    Don't go overboard with powers. If a character has more than two powers, you'd be god modding.


    Your characters should have a weakness. They should be able to die. As long as it isn't kryptonite or something like that, you'll pass this test


    Plan out your story, the it will be easier to finish. I never do this, but now we know for the future.

    The pairing is usuk, not sure if you like that one, sorry if you don't (cause I know there's a lot of paring wars in the hetalia fandom)! I really hope I don't screw up writing the characters, that's my biggest fear!
