Tawnypaw smiled "No need, so do you want to keep hunting or go back to camp?" She asked sitting down.

"Best we get to camp." Whitepaw meowed.
-
"It's okay." Mintpaw meowed kindly. "I get it."Whitepaw smiled. "Okay. I get it you got startled." He walked to her. "Sorry."
Hawkpaw smiled gratefully and stood up. "So should we split up? Try to catch a bird, a rabbit, a mouse, and a squirrel. You've caught a rabbit and I've caught a dove. So I still need a rabbit, a mouse, and a squirrel. You need a bird, a squirrel, and a mouse. Whoever finishes first runs back here. The loser has to.... Clean the Elder's den... Until the next half-moon!" Hawkpaw smiled. They weren't warriors yet. The apprentices always cleaned out the bedding. But the elder's den was the worst den by far. Not because of the bedding but because of the elders. The next half moon was about a week and a half away, so it wasn't terribly long but it would probably be enough. -

Mintpaw smiled. "Your on!" He jumped down. He dropped his jaw, tasting the air for prey. Smelling a Magpie, he ran off in its direction. He seen the black in white bird in a tree and silently climbed up it. The bird was faced away from Mintpaw, singing tunes as he snuck up behind it. He lashed out and killed it quickly. Picking it up, he climbed back down and buried it. He smelled the air again, hoping to catch a whiff of mouse.
-
Hawkpaw grinned and leapt down from branch to branch until she hit the ground. She raced along the ground until she spotted a rabbit. She leapt forward but the rabbit took off. Hawkpaw raced after it, her blood pounded in her ears as her paws beat rhythmically. She was gaining ground and leapt. She grabbed the rabbit by the scruff, rolling with the force and dragging the rabbit with her. She pinned the rabbit and bit its neck, killing it. She burried the rabbit and rose. She spotted a mouse and jumped but the mouse spotted her and ducked into its hole. Hawkpaw skidded into a pile of dead leaves that crackled loudly as she stepped on them. Loud enough to scare off prey. She climbed a tree and spotted a squirrel. "Ok ok got a rabbit and a bird. Just need a squirrel and a mouse." she muttered. She snuck up behind the squirrel and killed it quickly. She jumped off the tree and returned to her rabbit. She picked up the rabbit so that she was carrying the rabbit and the squirrel. She turned and raced back towards the tree, deciding to hunt there so when she finished she would be near the tree.Need a mouse need a mouse need a mouse she thought as she ran
-
Tawnypaw nodded "Ok, let's go get our prey." She meowed to Whitepaw and padded over to where she buried her rabbit.
-
Mintpaw scented mouse. He crawled in the direction of it and seen a mouse slinking around. He slowly crept forward. Mouse not noticing, he darted forward and flicked it into the air. It landed, stunned, beside him. He quickly pinned it down and bit its exposed neck, killing it instantly. He jumped up as he heard another mouse scatter around. He caught the mouse, holding its tail in his mouth and slammed it on the ground. The impact left the mouse breathless. Mintpaw killed it also. He buried the creatures and moved ahead. Finding a squirrel rushing around, flicking its tail and chattering, he crouched again. Sneaking up behind it, he slightly crunched a leaf by stepping on it. The squirrel froze, turning a bit, its beady black eyes full of fear. Its breathing quickened as it realized it was being stalked. Before it was to late, Mintpaw lunged forward and grabbed it with his paws. It tried to escape, but Mintpaw leaned down and killed it quickly. Ha! Got it. He gathered his kills, and swiftly ran back to the tree. Seeing that Hawkpaw wasn't there, he sat underneath it and waited.
Whitepaw gathered his prey and waited for Tawnypaw.
-
Tawnypaw got her last piece of prey and padded up to Whitepaw, she nodded saying that she was ready to go since she had the rabbit in her mouth she couldn't speak.
-
Whitepaw nodded back and walked towards camp.
-
Tawnypaw sighed quietly and looked around the forest till she saw the camp entrance and picked up speed.
-
Whitepaw followed close behind. He dropped the prey on the pile when they got there. He sat down in some shade.
-
Hawkpaw ran to the tree, having caught a mouse on the way there. She smelled Mintpaw and took a different route. She climbed up some trees and saw Mintpaw sitting down. Mousedung, he got back first... No matter, I'll get back at him. Hawkpaw lept silently from limb to limb. She set downher prey on a branch and continued she was directly about Mintpaw now. With and evil smile and a yowl she leapt down onto Mintpaw. She was careful to keep her claws safely sheathed when she landed on his shoulders. The sudden weight forced Mintpaw down onto the ground. Hawkpaw stood over him, placing a paw on his back to keep hi from getting up. "guess who?" she laughed triumphantly, but relaxed.
-
Tawnypaw put her prey in the pile and laid down by the apprentice den quietly.
-
Whitepaw rolled onto his side.
Mintpaw looked at her. "Hawkpaw!" He said.
-
Tawnypaw sighed and walked over to Whitepaw "Mind if I sit next to you?" She asked.
-
Whitepaw rolled onto his side.Mintpaw looked at her. "Hawkpaw!" He said.
Hawkpaw laughed, loosening her grip. -
Whitepaw sat up and nodded. "Sure."
Mintpaw pushed her off lightly and stood up. He shook out his pelt and looked at her.
-
Tawnypaw smiled "Thanks." She meowed and sat next to Whitepaw.
