  • Ren reluctantly did as she was told, and being the observant wolf she is, noticed that they had one missing. Her eyes quickly scanned the area, eventually landing on a small fox. With no hesitation she leaped from her spot, shifting into her wolf form. She ran towards the fox, the scruff of her neck held between her teeth.

"Alex!" Ren shouted at her brother, throwing the kitsune at him, which he caught in his own mouth easily, running off with the others. Ren went to follow him, but found herself jumping to the side to avoid an arrow. A man cloaked in black, face shadowed by the hood of his cloak stood above her on a tree branch, bow in hand

Ren growled, her white fur bristling in anger, blue eyes alight with a calm bloodlust. She suddenly, found herself dodging arrows from all angles, the man never moving from his spot. But then she found herself having to dodge hundreds of arrows at a time. The only thing she could do was jump up, so that was what she did.

A thud could be heard as Ren's body collided with the ground. Her wolf form shifted into her human form.

Alex's ears pricked up, and he turned around, screaming his sister's name in alarm, "Ren!"

Ren's frail form lay on the ground, red pooling around her, arrow protruding from her side. Whether it had hit a vital organ, you couldn't tell. Yes, she could heal quickly, but the silver that tipped the arrow made her weak, too weak to remove it.

The man in black disappeared, Ren strong enough to glare at the spot he was once was. Her dainty hand twitched as she attempted to reach it towards the arrow.

  • Aqua had fought all the monsters and caught up with the rest. "Ren!" she screamed, flying to the frail body. "Oh, no! I don't know if my powers are ready to heal this yet!" But she had to try. Her dainty hands held over Ren's wound and she embraced the magic within her. She felt a small spark, but fund nothing. She leaned over her body and cried.

  • Ren's shaking hand covered Aqua's own. With much struggle, the white haired girl managed to smile, a drop of blood falling from her lips and down her face. "You were the big sister I never had. Thank you."

Alex had given the fox to one of the other pack members, running towards his sister. He fell at his sister's side in his human form.

Rain pelted down on them from above; mixing with the tears that fell down his face. Alex gently brought Ren into his arms, pulling out the arrow, burning it into ash. He rocked Ren back and forth, chin resting on her head.

"I'm not going to lose you, not now, not ever."
