Okay, so, my character, Almarie (or Alma for short), is a quiet, shy girl, and you're pretty much the most rebellious and loud-mouthed guy there is. But, hey, opposites attract, right? So some dude trips Alma. Being that "hero" you are, you pretty much go to the random rescue. Hey, you might be a jock, but you know girls should be treated properly. And that's pretty much all I have. I guess we just start with this.

Almarie was walking in the school hallway, shoulders hunched, and head tilted downwards. She didn't exactly like school. I mean, who does? So, Monday. A displeasure to most everyone. She dilatorily ambulated to the classroom for first period, a satchel slung across her body. She preferred an easily reachable carrying option instead of one that weighed her back down. She slunk around corners, avoiding louder areas. She just hated to be around outgoing people, people she couldn't be like in any way no matter how hard she tried. Being the shy girl, he had laced together a close group of one or two friends. She was a geek; so were these friends. She loved reading, and soaked in every word. Of course, maybe she had her light blue optics on one of the popular boys... She was quite sure that they wouldn't like her at all, though. As she was thinking, she didn't notice an obstacle in the way of her path: A slender, tanned leg with rosy pink heels sticking out in the hall. She tripped, and her satchel swung around her neck as her arm was freed from the strap. She felt her chin slam onto the tiled white floor, and landed, a mess, onto the chilled, icy ground. Her books flew out of the satchel, skittering across the floor, being stepped on, and dented, by passing heels. She was humiliated, and, to make it worse, she heard the triumphant snickering of the popular girls as they passed her by. Of course. They had done this, as they always did. Alma sighed, staying flat on the floor with defeat, not bothering to get up just yet.

"Oi!" he said, kicking his locker shut. Richard Sykes was not one to stand up for geeks or anyone else who deserved to get beat up but a girl? That was low. "You gonna apologize for that?" he threatened, cracking his knuckles. He bent down and grabbed a few of the papers, neatening them up before handing them to Alma.

He staightened up and stretched out his hand for her to take. He scanned her face with his green eyes, trying to remember if he had seen her before. Richard, or as everyone else knew him Sykes, would not be in any classes with a nerd. As a dyslexic, he was not good at Math nor anything written.
