The Hydrogen bomb. The most powerful weapon known to mankind. And now it as destroyed our world.
Markus and Reena stood on a pile of scorched rubble and looked at the vast wastelands created by the Nuclear War. The wind blew great clouds of dust across the wretched badlands that had once been the great city of Atlanta.
Every day was a battle to survive. Those who lived through the bombs and radiation had been forced to live underground for many years. Once docile and domesticated animals had been mutated by the radiation and attacked anything that moved and breathed.
It was only a matter of time before they all died. But Markus and Reena refused to believe it. Somewhere out there was a Sanctuary, or so they believed.
This was the day they and only a few others would embark on a perilous journey to find that Sanctuary and save Mankind.
"Are you guys ready for this? There is no turning back from here." Markus asked, turning to his friends.
He grinned as, one by one, they each nodded their heads.
"The sun is setting, we should get started if we want shelter before sunrise." Reena announced and the group set off to find the Sanctuary, but in truth they were simply looking for something- anything- to show them that all was not lost.
As they traversed the barren wasteland, one question dominated their minds: What is left?
