  • ((Sure! Do you want to post first, or shall I?))

  • ((I can))

Lily's earbuds were blasting as she entered the crowded cafeteria. The morning had gone by, and thankfully Mr. Donnelly only gave her a half-evil stare. And she had gotten an A+ on her English test. So, as far she was concerned, life was good.
She she walked in the lunchroom, everything was bustling with life. The far tables across the room were vacant of students, but the ones up front were chaotic. On the left, the 'mean girls' and 'queen bees' were chatting about which girl likes which boy and whatnot. The Jocks were at the right, heating it up with sports and the like. In the center, the 'normal kids' were reading and quietly talking to one another.
Not fitting into any of the categories, she went to the empty lunch tables, swinging her lunch pack behind her. Sitting down, she sighed and took out an orange.

  • Anna entered the cafeteria his normal self, all bouncy and happy. He paused to examine the tables, of course spotting Lily. He hesitated a second, trying to decide whether to go to his normal table or give the new girl some company. It wasn't really a hard decision for him.

He began to pick his way carefully through the bustling crowds, books held carefully in one hand and his lunch tray in the other, until he finally reached her table.

He plopped himself down on the bench, setting down his books and lunch tray. "Hi, Lily!" He greeted her warmly with a small giggle, smoothing down his skirt as he lightly wriggled on the hard bench, trying to get a bit comfortable.

  • Lily frowned and put back her orange. Subsequently, she moved over the slightest bit to give the girl room, but still scowled in discontent. "Do you follow everyone? Or am I a particular victim?" she asked, sarcastic. She didn't really mind if Anna was there, as long as she wasn't too girly-girl and started talking about dates and the like. Or get annoying by chatting and being really talkative.

  • Anna giggled lightly at her sarcastic comment, picking up the apple off his tray and peeling off the small sticker that was on it. "I just don't like to see others alone, so until you get friends I won't leave you alone." He seemed to promise, sticking out his tongue at her and winking. It was true. He never liked seeing others sitting alone. It always just made him feel down, sad, though he could never really understand why. It just did. He was taught to be kind to others, be a friend to someone who was in need of one. It was beginning to become part of his nature.

  • Lily snorted, smiling a bit. "Fine." Taking out her orange again, she took a juicy bite, orange pulp squirting in her mouth. "Mmm," she commented, her mouth full. She swallowed. "So, what do you want to talk about?" she asked, eating the last bit of her orange. Realizing her question, she blushed. "Nothing personal, 'Kay?"

  • He watched her curiously for a bit, kind of turning the apple around in his hand, only taking one bite before she asked the question. "Oh, of course!" He giggled, nodding his head. "How about... Your previous school, or is that something personal?" He asked curiously, letting his head cock lightly to the side as he took a bite of his apple.

  • Lily blushed harder, her cheeks turning a rosy red. Her fingers danced nervously on the wooded table, and she bit her lip unconsciously. She took out a sandwich and busily took several bites before answering the question. "Well, not really, unless you're talking about-" she cut off, remembering her secret.

  • He felt curiosity rising up in him, but decided not to push. If it was personal, he was not going to poke her until he learns her secret. He nodded his head simply, thrumming his fingers on the table as he took another bite of his apple.

He couldn't help but notice that she actually looked... Cute, with her face a bright red, avoiding his gaze and fidgeting nervously. He felt his own face heating up, a slight blush turning his cheeks a faint pink.

  • Lily, her cheeks turning back to the pale ivory color they normally were, looked at Anna- she was blushing too. "Ok..?" She said, taking another bite out of her sandwich, rocking back and forth on her seat. Lily was tempted to raise her eyebrows, though she didn't, not want to be rude. She had no idea why the other girl was blushing. If it was a boy, it would make sense.

Then a though occurred to the 15-year old girl. What if this girl was different? Like, gay different? Immediately another blush rose to her cheeks, almost as red as Anna's. How could she have thought that? She shook her head. Impossible.

  • His gaze had fallen to the table, flicking between it and the red apple he held in his hand. Why did he feel so nervous? He swore he could feel his heart picking up pace in his chest, and the palms of his hands sweating. He glanced up for another moment, meeting her gaze for just a second before quickly looking back down at the table. She was staring at him, and her face was bright red, like his. Why was she staring at him?

He nervously fidgeted, taking a small bite of his apple. His free hand had fallen down to his lap, playing nervously with the edges of the fabric of his skirt.

  • Lily's nervousness flicked away as she saw the girl fidget. "Are you alright?" She asked, finishing up her sandwich and downing a bottle of water. Even though she was conscious of how nervous the other girl was, she wasn't realizing how tense she was herself.

    LOWEST MUSE EVER

  • ((Heh, it's fine. I don't mind. =3))

Anna jumped at the sound of her voice, tensing up, eyes widening, though it only took a moment for him to calm down once more. "Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry." He assured her with a small giggle, taking another bite of his apple. He was beginning to feel the heat ebb away from his face and his heart race slow once more, though he kept nervously fidgeting, and definitely seemed just a bit tense. He was confused, even though the feelings were rather minor. He'd never really acted like that around someone before. He was trying to understand what was just going on, but couldn't.

  • Lily decided to move on from the uncomfortable topic. Gulping some more water, she changed to conversation. "So, do you like sports?" She asked. "Volleyball? Soccer? Lacrosse?" She made a swinging motion with her hands, like she was holding a lacrosse stick.

  • He quickly shook his head, taking another big bite of his apple and quickly gulping it down. "Sports aren't really my thing. I'm more interested in computer games and such, as well as reading." He let a small giggle, lightly wriggling on the seat. "I'm suspecting you're into sports, though. Lacrosse would be my guess." He let out another giggle, setting the apple back down on his tray.

Lily frowned. "Do you always giggle that much?" Though there was warmth in her tone. She was starting think that Anna was her friend. No one had been as excepting as this girl, or really counted her as a friend. Lily decided that, maybe, just maybe, they could have a good friendship. Maybe, even, she would tell Anna her secret.

  • "It's good to be happy! You know what they say, laughter is the best medicine!" He reached an arm across the table, pinching Lily's cheek and sticking his tongue out teasingly. She was nice, kind, even though some of the sentences that came out of her mouth seemed to be a bit harsh. She was just sarcastic, was all, and he didn't mind a bit of sarcasm. He liked Lily, with sarcasm, secret and all.

Lily laughed, and like Anna, stuck her tongue out in reply. She playfully batted away the hand that was touching her cheek, though she sort of enjoyed it. The fun was interrupted by a rrrring of the bell. Next period. She picked up her lunch crate and got up from the table. She smoothed her denim shorts and tucked a piece of black hair behind her ear. "So...will you come to my house later? My brother can pick us up." She asked hopefully. She didn't want to wait a whole day to see her new friend.

  • "Ooooh, sounds fun!" Anna giggled innocently, picking up his books once more and tucking them against his chest. He picked up his tray with his free hand. He hadn't really eaten much off of it, probably because he was too busy talking with her. He was suddenly really interested in seeing her house. She was nice, and he wanted to get to know her better. Usually he wanted to get to know new people better, but not as much as he wanted to get to know her.

"Maybe we could work on homework together or share notes, if we happen to have any classes the same." He suggested, dumping his tray into the trash can.
