Karmin lifted her head slightly and looked around. She hugged herself tightly.

"Karmin?" He questioned softly, scooting over to her.
-
She gripped a pillow deftly in her hands, holding it as though it was Saran. She continued to be deaf to whatever Hans said.
-
His arm came around her to rest against her side slightly. "Karmin.... He's gone." He told her softly.
-
She tightened her grip on the pillow, refusing to let go.
-
He gently squeezed her, "Karmin, he's not coming back, no matter how much you or I wish it."
-
Karmin herked away as he squeezed. The alternate version of events was fresh in her head.
-
Hans wrapped his arm tighter around her. "Karmin..." He breathed softly.
-
She twisted, trying to get out of his grasp while maintaining her mute state.
-
He sighed, his arm relinquishing from around her.
-
She stood away from th couch, shaking. She felt she had to stop this. She ran into the kitchen, seeking the kitchen knives.
-
He followed after her quickly. "Karmin, don't do this." He said quickly.
-
She got to the drawers and quickly tried to recall where she put the cutlery.
-
He walked over to her, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her away from the drawers.
-
She breathed heavily and tried to twist out of his grop. She kept doing that.
-
He spun her around, holding her in place by her shoulders. His temper flared, "Dammit Karmin! What the hell do you think you're doing?" His voice was raised now, becoming loud and boisterous.
-
She stared at him, her eyes wide and frightened. Her mind was comparing him to how Thabes had been in the other reality. She shrunk under his gaze.
-
He took a few deep breaths, his hands sliding off her shoulders. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have, but I don't want you to hurt yourself." He said quietly.
-
She took a few hesitant steps back from him, tedting to see if he would grab for her again. She shook and shivered.
-
Hans leaned back on the counter, letting out a quiet sigh. "I'm sorry if I scared you, I shouldn't have reacted so harshly. I'm just afraid that if I close my eyes and open them again, you'll be gone too."
