"Not Alex." Alice groaned, while Lyric made a face, "No, Alex is my godfather though. " He groaned as well, "Alex isn't my father." Alice then sighed, "Your parents trust me, as I have saved your life and your mother's life on many separate occasions."

"And then vanished five years ago with no explanation," Helen shot back pointedly.
-
Alice sighed, deciding to be rather harsh, "It's really not any of your business or your parents to check up on me or keep tabs of where I've been. I was busy, I had a child to care for and need I remind you, they knew I wasn't dead, for I sent notes every year saying I was okay."
-
Helen glowered, crossing her arms. "Whatever," she said brattily.
-
Alice glared huffing, then shoke her head, "In you two go, I'll be back later. Please try not to break anything." A teacher aid took her spot in the front of the class room, and Alice did the only thing she could think of, she popped in on her best friend and his wife.
-
Pierce opened the door when someone knocked. His face split in a wide smile as he saw who was there. "Alice!" he said, embracing his friend warmly. "I'm so glad to see you. Becky, come see who it is!"
-
Alice smiled, though it was a bit guiltily. "Sorry, " She murmured, "For not coming and visiting earlier."
-
Becky entered into Alice's view and smiled in surprise. "Alice! How are you, dear?" she said, walking up and hugging her.
-
Alice hugged her back briefly, peering at the two curiously.
-
"What are you doing here?" Pierce asked, cocking his head.
-
"Helen's in my class..." Alice finally said softly, "And doesn't care for... Lyric, another student in my class. They are the only two in the school with dominate seeker genes, so I paired them up... They immediately started complaining and Helen went as far as saying she doesn't trust me. And I can't deal with that."
-
Pierce glanced at Becky worriedly> "We had no idea that you're Helen's teacher. If that's the case...can you come inside? We'll talk a bit further."
-
[align=center]Alice checked her watch and nodded, "I have to be back in... two hours, but sure." She followed them slowly, "She's only in my class half of the day the other half she's in written magic or the art of lore. My class is subjected to... seeker knowledge and elemental vaprisim. Like Lacus from that one time. He's element is water. Lyric has dominate Seeker blood, that usually doesn't show up until after he turns thirteen. His parents both have submissive seeker blood and in order to be alive still his was dormant for many years. Same for Helen's but that's because I supressed it while she was younger." Alice explained,[/center
-
Pierce sighed, looking at Alice sidelong. "I don't know about this Lyric boy, buT I'm sure you have the best judgement about him and Helen. We trust you to work that out. Nut there's something you should know. Helen..." he glanced at Becky quickly, then back to Alice. "She has a learning disability."
-
Alice's eyes narrowed slightly, "What kind?" She asked cautiously.
-
"She struggles to retain information," Becky said. "If you teach her a concept, she'll do it well right then, but shell forget about it in a few hours."
-
Alice nodded, slipping on a pair of glasses and swiping her hand through the air. A second passed and she had a book in her lap, slowly flipping through. "You've taken her to a normal doctor I suspect?"
-
"Yes," Pierce said. "He'd never seen anything like it before. We think it might have something to do with her seeker gene."
-
Alice peered down at her book, "It sounds like renuntiatum sanguinem petunt defect." Alice sighed, "RSP defect. It's renounced seeker blood. Or told to seek the blood, in English translate. It's a defect that will last many years outside of the seeker world... Though, the she should remember seeker related objects as well as elemental and regular vamprirc knowledge. "
-
"I see," Pierce said, glancing at his wife again. "But all of the normal curriculum, science and math and things, she won't remember any of that?" Becky put her head in her hands, taking a deep breath. "Well," she said, looking up again, "I suppose she'll just have to master her supernatural skills."
