  • She goes by the name Allison. She is 15 years old and hides her feelings when she is around others.

She was walking home from school as she felt very depressed. She went into a nearby black alley and found a piece of glass. She started to cry as she picked up the glass and held it to her arm. "Why am I even here?" She asked herself

  • A soft, yet hoarse voice came behind her, answering her question, "I dunno, isn't that the reason we're alive? So we can find out why we are placed here, on this earth, of this time."

Behind her was boy she never seen before, just standing there in a slouched position with his head slightly cocked to the side. His eyes were calm, his posture relaxed, his hands stuffed in his jacket pockets. "I wouldn't do that. It's more painful than a paper cut, and it could be detrimental to your health miss."

  • His pale green eyes locked on to hers, they seemed to be reading into her every action, her ever move. "My name is Edur. It's a weird name so I tell people just to call me Ed. But I should be asking who you are and why you are here. This isn't the place for a girl like yourself you know."

  • "My name is Allison... And.. I don't know why I am here.." She said as her eyes watered up as she looked away from him. "Why are you here?"

  • "I was walking by when I saw a girl in a shady alley. I got curious and investigated. It is a good thing I did too." The boy did not approach her, he didn't make any sudden movements, it was as if he was almost intimidated by Allison, or perhaps shy... yet, his stance was natural, and calm. "Why are you crying?"

  • "I... uh.. It's nothing..." She said, getting up and brushing the dirt off of her knees. "I guess I gotta go..." She said before walking off.

  • The boy blinked and stepped out of her way as she past him. He had the look of genuine confusion as he watched her go. He himself followed her out of the alley. He felt like he should pursue his questioning of her, but who was he to do that? He was naught but a stranger... and it would be best for him not to get involved. But still....

"Allison." He said to her, "Please don't do anything rash and get yourself hurt."

  • Edur nodded, not that she saw him do so and he walked the other direction. He really hadn't anywhere to go at this time, and it would be getting late soon. The park was the best bet for a somewhat safe place for him to stay the night for he did not think he could make it home for the day, or be able to catch the right bus at this time. Or maybe he just wanted to wander this city for a little bit before going back to where he belonged. He looked back once, and watched as Allison walked further and further away, then went on his way.

  • As Alison entered the door to her home, all she heard was the booming voices of her parents. They were once again, fighting. She quickly ran up to her room as quiet as possible.

  • Edur spent the rest of his night making rounds around the park thinking about that girl. Why had she been crying he wondered, and why did he care. He looked up at the sky and wondered if he'd see her again. She probably went to the local highschool... maybe if he waited he could catch her on her way home. He needed to get this feeling off his chest. He just... he didnt know. There was a period of time when he thought he knew it all... but no. That was why he came here though. He shook his head of thoughts and nestled himself on a side of a tree to wait for the morning to come.

  • The next morning Allison got ready for just another day of school. She put just a little bit of make-up on so that her friends couldn't see the dark circles around her eyes from the lack of sleep. She grabbed her books and left the house. She slowly walked to school, not wanting to be their or at her house. She just wanted to be alone where no one was there to judge her or make fun of her.

  • Morning came too fast. Edur didn't get close to enough sleep until he had to leave. The last thing he wanted however, was to be seen sleeping in the park and having some adult freak out over it. He yawned and just started walking again. After finding some breakfast, he found his thoughts went back to Allison. What a strange girl, which meant a lot coming from a boy who rather sleep outside under the stars than a bed. As he walked he saw her again. Or at least he thought it was her. He wasn't sure to approach, but did anyways because he became sure of himself it was her. “Allison, correct?"

  • She looked up. "Oh.... Yes... Um... Ed right?" She smiled and blushed a bit, but honestly she didn't know him but all she wanted to do was cry. "What school do you go to?" She asked, trying to keep the conversation less awkward.

  • Edur blinked and considered lying, but there was no point to it. "I don't go school... I had something of a private tutor teach me all the things I need to know though."

  • The boy nodded shoving his hands in the jacket pockets, "Do you mind if I walk you?" He still wanted to get to know the girl, perhaps find out more about her. However she seemed pretty determined to stay on her own... but he just kept think back to her question she asked as she threatened her own life. What could push a person to that?

  • Edur gave a wolfish grin and followed her. At least, if she didn't like him, she was tolerating his existence. "What's school like? I mean I never been to one so I don't really know. Is it fun?"
